Stay here if.... 1. If you have a car and want included parking. 2. Want 5 minute walkability to the town. 3. Prefer to save money vs more amenities. If you want those three things, stay here. If you don't care or want amenities like included breakfast (I mean just go into town, get a muffin and coffee fo $12 USD) or room service.. go pay $200+ more a night and don't complain. Our room was clean, bed, sheets, pillows are comfortable. Each room has a mini fridge. Microwave on each floor. Water refill station in lobby. Staff are super nice and friendly. Water pressure in the shower is low, but again, this is a 2 star. We're more interested in saving money than high water pressure.

Great location closer to everything and easy to access. The service was good the staff were friendly. The hotel was old and outdated but that shouldn’t stop it from being cleaned properly. The table and bedside desks were dusty and dirty I did not feel comfortable putting my belongings on. I had to wipe it down before settling in.The room was icky I did not feel comfortable staying here at all, especially for the price they were charging

Not fancy. But cozy. But everything you need. The view was great. Very quiet. . Great location near restaurants and shuttles. We walked everywhere from here. Good price. The pool and jacuzzi next door are nice too.

We had a wonderful stay at Bow View Lodge. The location is excellent, with the river just behind the property, providing a beautiful and peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. We also appreciated the front desk team calling ahead to reconfirm our reservation dates, which was a thoughtful touch and gave us peace of mind before arrival. While the rooms are a bit dated, they were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.Overall, a great value for the location and a pleasant place to stay while enjoying the beautiful Banff!

Our first time in Banff. I needed the most affordable hotel with the best location in Banff I could get. Wow. We got a balcony with our stay. It didn't feel super busy at the hotel despite it being in July. The huge river right off our balcony. We could walk to anything we needed. The stay included parking which was an added bonus. The town kind of clears out at night, but parking in the day seems impossible so we were grateful to not need to move our parked truck upon arrival until we left after our tour the next day. The hotel is retro, but most critical to me is that it was very clean. The staff was very accomodating. Thanks.

The Bow View Lodge is an older but a well kept hotel that faces the Bow River for great views. The rooms had all the basic amenities and the beds are very comfortable. There is no AC but at night the window open was perfect (50 f outside). The front desk staff was exceptional, friendly and always open to questions about the surrounding area. We were there early July, peak tourist season, so the room rates were astronomical but similar to other Inns in town. All of Banff is very expensive.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Very disappointing stay at Bow View Lodge. The hotel is old and outdated, and the room was not very clean. There was no air conditioning, which made the stay uncomfortable. The balcony view overlooked parked cars and what appeared to be a dumpyard, which was far from the scenic experience we expected in Canmore. Overall, the hotel did not meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness, comfort, or value. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

It is a pleasant hotel with regular amenities. The beds are comfortable and the view out the windows is spectacular towards the Bow River. Unfortunately there was a shouting match between a couple from 1am-3:40am the second night as the walls do not muffle the sound as well as we would have liked. So very tired the next day or so, but the front desk said they have security on 24 hours and we should have called. Some of the items in the rooms are quaint and that's ok - they are small rooms, but we spent most of our time out in Banff or skiing, Overall they worked out.
