From the outside this hotel is beautiful in a basically dumpy city. Inside, the lobby is quite nice, as are the walkways within the complex. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is excellent. And the breakfast, which is included, is fair. The people who work there are very helpful, very friendly and there is more than enough security. They allow dogs everywhere in Colombia. There is an area on the hotel grounds where you can walk your dog. The rooms are the disappointing part of the place. We were in the apartment section of the complex which had 2 small bedrooms, each with a bath, and a small kitchen and sitting room placed in the center of the apartment. The rooms are so in need of renovations, especially the plumbing (Colombian plumbing has issues). There is nothing fancy or luxurious about the rooms. Safety is the main asset of this hotel and it’s the only hotel that has the apartment option. So we stay here whenever we come to Bogota.

Great hotel, excellent service and great variety of room options. We stayed in a 3 bedroom with kitchen and separate living room for 2 months and a 2 bedroom for a month. Great neighborhood and safe complex with great security. Playground for the kids and plenty of room to walk throughout. Across the street from Unicentro was a bonus.

Hotel Estelar La Fontana is the perfect hotel for a business traveller. All the required facilities are available: restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, café... My room was very spacious. I would say at least 30m2. The bathroom is (more than) large enough and although the installations are not very modern, due to the excellent maintenance I felt extremely comfortable during the 2 weeks of my visit. As is very common in Colombia, all areas were very clean. The people are extremely friendly and helpful with any request or service. Eventhough English is not their native language (neither mine), they really make an effort to make non-Spanish speaking guests feel welcome. On Thursday and Friday night, there is a DJ performing in the bar area. It's not a party environment, just a nice chill-out vibe to finish the week with a cocktail. Great ambiance, nice music... Overall, the value for money is excellent. I will definitely return!

It's a place full of kind people who help you at any time. Most of the crew if not all speak English or are willing to look for the way to serve you. great choice.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Fontana Estelar. This hotel holds a special place in my heart because my aunts used to stay here when I was a child, and I have many happy memories of visiting and spending time here with my family.|Now that I live outside of Colombia, returning to Bogotá always feels a little more special when I stay at La Fontana Estelar. It has become my hotel of choice whenever I visit. The staff is welcoming, the facilities are comfortable, and the atmosphere feels both elegant and familiar.|I appreciate how well the hotel maintains its quality and hospitality over the years. Staying here brings back wonderful memories while also providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience every time I return.|Thank you for continuing to make guests feel at home. This is my 5th stay in La Fontana and it has always been a good experience. The convenience of the location and having available cars to take me places is great. |The people are professional and friendly and will try their best to accommodate your needs.

The bed and room were perfect, with great sheets, a good temperature, and cleanliness. There was also a table for ironing shirts, and the TV was amazing with good internet. Additionally, the hotel's architecture is impressive. The bar and the restaurants are amazing; the cocktail bar is great. Great spots for pictures and great drinks

The location is in a quieter area, directly across the road from a shopping mall, but few shops on the street. It is far removed from the center, and with the horrible traffic in Bogota, any cab or uber trip takes at least 30 to 45 minutes. It can take even longer during high traffic times. |The atmosphere is subdued and quiet, with a very 1970's feel. |The rooms were very nice, with a comfortable bed, but the hallways need some painting in some spots (particularly near the elevators) and the overhead lights have a build up of insects. Otherwise, I found the hotel very clean. |Service was excellent, and the staff was VERY helpful and attentive. |As for Amenities, there was a cafe on the premises, with a very nice staff, and the hotel restaurant was excellent. The bar downstairs wasn't open very late, unfortunately. And there was a gift shop that never seemed to be open.
