From start to finish, my experience with the Four Seasons Budapest was absolutely amazing and flawless. Peter helped make the booking process very easy and noted down the special trip and birthday notes I mentioned. Checking in was seamless and our room was perfectly quiet. We were celebrating a birthday and even received a small cake and wine during our stay which was extremely thoughtful and generous. Carolien at the concierge was also so knowledgeable, pleasant, and went above and beyond to call and coordinate an amazing wine tasting in Tokaj when we went to visit. We visited Victoria at the hotel bar every night because she was so nice to chat with and her cocktails were so delicious that we had to try them all. The GM and rest of the bar and hotel staff were all very pleasant and attentive and made sure that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend staying at the Four Seasons Budapest as they made our stay incredible and absolutely memorable. We will only stay here when we come back to Budapest.

The best week in Budapest was thanks to all the staff members in four seasons - very good attention to detail, always cordial and made sure to resolve any problem asap and was very patient throughout for any requests and accommodations. There was not a thing that was not resolved and they made sure we were happy throughout the six nights we stayed here. Buffet here is excellent, lunch and dinner and drinks were all top notch for people watching and the atmosphere. I think we mostly stayed in the hotel after seeing all the wonderful sights Budapest had to offer. The location is also the best you can ask for. The rooms are also very cozy and clean - everything is orderly and very much up to any four seasons standards and more. would definitely stay here when we come back.

If you can afford it, there can't possibly be a finer hotel in Budapest. Admittedly we had top class of rooms, which were palatial. High ceilings, amazing bed and linens, view of bridge/river and palace, cordial of chocolates and flowers awaiting us on arrival. The location is directly facing the principal tourist attractions and is in walking distance of all. There is pedestrian walk to the Basilica lined with restaurants, chimney cake and gelato/ice cream to enjoy. The best Italian this side of Napoli is at Thomas Henry/TG Osteria (reviewed separately). Famous floral gelato is steps away from Basilica (to the left and past first café as you exit Basilica). Unique flavors and presentation. Get there at 11am to beat the lines.

In Budapest, beauty seemed to bloom at every corner. A charming flower shop, Astoria Rózsái, welcomed passersby with a living palette of colors, where blossoms spilled onto the street like a painter's dream. Every pot, wreath, and petal felt like a small celebration of life. Later, inside the magnificent Four Seasons Gresham Palace, the floral artistry continued. Elegant arrangements rose beneath the historic glass arches, filling the grand interior with warmth and light. What captured my eye most was a magical detail: the water in the tall vases had been tinted to exactly match the flowers. Vibrant orange blooms floated above vibrant orange water, as if nature and design had agreed to speak the same language. In that moment, flowers were not merely decoration. They became part of the architecture, part of the light, part of the story of Budapest itself. A city where elegance blossoms effortlessly, and where even the water remembers the color of the flowers. 🌷✨ Budapest teaches that true beauty lies in details small enough to be missed, yet unforgettable once seen.

The premier luxury hotel in Budapest, located right across the Danube, Four Seasons once again demonstrates why it’s still the best luxurious hotel brand. Opened in 2004, less than 200 rooms and only 12 suites. Built in 1905, it was never a palace but a grand building built by an insurance company. What makes the FS as always, is its people. Management always around, concierge always ready to assist. From the door men to the spa to the restaurants, staff is well trained to deliver the highest aspects of hospitality. Our suite on the fourth floor overlooked the Danube river and the Buda part of Budapest. Nice balconies to enjoy the view. Room features their signature bed and powerful rain shower. My favorite area is the spa open at 7am. Best part is that the locker rooms are open 24/7 and the shower is worth the cost of your room. Pool and relaxation area on the fifth floor very nice and full range of amenities included. Gym is decent but needs a Peloton bike. Breakfast at KOLLAZS is divine with a world-class buffet and and all a-la-carte items included. I enjoyed one of the best shakshuka dishes rivaling Israel. Buffet includes traditional Hungarian offerings. Interiors beautiful and has outdoor seating. Dinner menu mix of American and Hungarian options. The other restaurant on premises is MUZSA, features pricey craft cocktails and Asian inspired menu. Overall, the perfect sanctuary when visiting Budapest and you want luxury and service at its best.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest and it was honestly one of the most unforgettable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Budapest city centre, directly beside the famous Széchenyi Chain Bridge and overlooking the beautiful Danube River. From the moment you step outside the hotel, you are surrounded by the city’s most iconic landmarks, charming streets, cafés, and historical sites. Everything feels within walking distance, making it the ideal place to experience the true beauty of Budapest. What makes this hotel even more special is the incredible history and architecture of the building itself. The hotel is housed inside the legendary Gresham Palace, a stunning Art Nouveau monument that feels like stepping back into Europe’s golden age. Every detail of the building is breathtaking — from the grand chandeliers and stained glass to the elegant mosaics and ironwork. You can truly feel the history and character the moment you walk through the doors. It is amazing how the hotel preserves the old-world charm of this historic monument while still feeling modern, luxurious, and welcoming. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is elegant yet peaceful. Sitting in the lobby and looking at the architectural details almost feels like being inside a museum or palace. The views of the Danube, Buda Castle, and the Chain Bridge are especially magical at night when the city lights reflect on the river. It is one of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen for a hotel. The staff were professional, kind, and attentive throughout the stay, and the service truly matched the luxury reputation of Four Seasons. Budapest itself is already an incredible city, but staying at this historic palace made the experience even more memorable. If anyone is visiting Budapest and wants a luxury hotel with both a perfect city-centre location and a rich historical atmosphere, this place is absolutely worth it. Staying here feels like living inside a piece of Budapest’s history.

We recently enjoyed four wonderful nights at the Four Seasons Gresham Palace with my family. I regularly recommend this hotel to visitors — and our stay largely confirmed why. The location is unbeatable, the Danube views are breathtaking, and waking up to the Chain Bridge every morning felt truly special. The hotel is beautiful and full of character, and breakfast was lovely in an elegant atmosphere. One thing worth noting: the à la carte items were actually included in the buffet breakfast (separate costs, room rate doesnt include it), but nobody mentioned this to us at the start of our stay. It’s a shame we only found out on our third morning — we missed out on two days of extras we had already paid for. A simple heads-up from the host on the first morning would make a real difference. Bedrooms are on the smaller side but comfortable, clean, and well maintained. However, housekeeping could be more attentive to the details — our makeup remover wipes ran out and were not replenished for two days, despite the empty packaging being clearly visible by the sink. For a hotel at this level, those small touches matter. Overall, a stunning property in the heart of Budapest. With a little more attention to the finer details, it could be truly flawless.
