Our experience at White Sands Cebu was disappointing, especially considering the expectations created by the pictures on their website. First, the beach and water conditions did not match what we expected from the website's photos. The water appeared clean and open in the pictures, particularly in the jet ski advertisements. However, when we arrived, there were plenty of seaweeds in the water, and the jet ski's propeller even got caught in them. There were also numerous fishing boats in the area, which made the actual surroundings look quite different from what was presented online. The jet ski experience itself was uncomfortable because the life jackets provided were irritating to wear. Regarding the accommodations, some rooms had no Wi-Fi, while others had an unpleasant smell upon entering. These issues affected our overall comfort during our stay. Another major concern was housekeeping. Trash was not properly collected or disposed of, which was disappointing for a hotel that guests expect to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Most concerning of all, some of our belongings went missing during our stay. We searched for them but could not find them, and they were not recovered at the airport either. Although we cannot confirm what happened to these items, the experience raised serious concerns about the handling and security of guests' belongings. Overall, our experience fell short of our expectations in terms of cleanliness, room conditions, amenities, and guest security. The difference between the promotional pictures and the actual surroundings was particularly disappointing. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously, improves its housekeeping and room maintenance, and ensures better transparency in its advertising and better security for guests' belongings.

This is a bit of a late review from our visit back in 2018 at Cebu White Sands Resort and Spa, but it’s definitely worth sharing. We availed their day pass at the time and really enjoyed the experience, especially the food since it was served buffet-style—great variety and satisfying overall. After eating, we took some time to explore the place. One of the highlights was their pond filled with koi fish, along with some birds—and surprisingly, even a peacock! Definitely not something you’d expect to see. We also got to enjoy the pool and played a bit of volleyball, which made the stay even more fun. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to enjoy the sea since it was low tide, and we had to be extra careful because of sea urchins. We haven’t been back since, but it’s a place I’d consider revisiting—maybe next time, we’ll book a room and stay overnight to fully enjoy everything.

This is a fantastic resort . The location is perfectly positioned on the beach , with access to diving and island hopping though we spent all our time at the resort itself. The restaurant served fresh food especially their seafood. Breakfast was part of the room rate. The rooftop bar has excellent beer on tap 👌. And oh so reasonable. Bottled beers were one for one during Happy Hours. The who atmosphere is topped of with the smiles and obliging staff presence. Really a must visit venue. Excellent 👍 👍 👍 👌👌👌😊

We absolutely loved our stay here! We were a family of two seniors, two adults, and two kids, and from the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and helpful. They were always patient and happy to answer our questions. We were especially excited to get two adjoining rooms, which the kids loved. The pool was great, and the temperature was perfect. We ended up swimming twice a day! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Location is good - walkable to restaurants a lot of them are Korean-owned which reflects higher prices except for Filipino-themed cuisine. Hotel rates are higher so I expected a higher level of service however, I was deeply shocked that when I asked for a bucket of ice, they said they charge P100. I am a traveler from the US and my job exposes me to travel usually 3 to 5 star hotels this hotel pretends to be a four-star hotel but the shocking charge of 100 pesos which is less than two dollars. It’s just so ridiculous. It leaves a bad memory of this hotel for me. I think they are monetizing every little thing and that does not make them classy. We were in a group of four, and we also went to the dinner at patio Gavino rooftop and took the Buffet for 1000 pesos per person, but the selection was limited. It was just a good place to experience being on the rooftop however I have been eating out literally every day in my five weeks trip to the Philippines so I can compare prices the 1000 pesos was not justified maybe more appropriate for 600 pesos per person because there was nothing great about the food selection. I also went in the pool and it was a great four hours of swimming, but considering that they catered to a lot of tourist they should extend their full hours to at least until 10 PM because it is super hot in the Philippines. I can’t understand why they have short pool hours when that is really the main attraction of the hotel. What is great though is there bathroom which is air-conditioned and pretty clean to take showers the breakfast is also pretty good and we had complementary breakfast for two days. The staff were great, but I cannot forget the 100 peso charge for ice this hotel should install ice machines in each floor since that is a big necessity considering how hot it is so for the owners I wish you would reconsider your business way of doing things and trying not to charge every little thing. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I do not want or believe I need to go back to your hotel.

We booked on the 8th but arrived on the 9th June and we were told we were upgraded to a better room yet when we got to the room which was near the closed rectangle pool, it seemed more like a run down mouldy room. The next day we informed them and they said they would upgrade us to a newer building. We were meant to have another check in on the 9th but we arrived on the 9th at 3am and requested since we were arriving much later if we could get an earlier check in of the other booking but they said they would have to charge us for one more night and obviously we refused. First day towels smelled off with a musky and damp, noisy and the curtains fif not even do it's job well as the sun still beams right into your face, with loud sounds of their birds that are kept in cages. Honestly I do not advocate such things as keeping beautiful wildlife in cages such as the Palawan eagle, macaw and other species. When we got to the newer building, there was no hot water to shower with a maintaince attendant came at night to turn on the hot water from the central water heating. Hot water for showering runs out quick despite the building has less than 40℅ occupancy. Room service wanted to charge us 25% extra but after we voiced out our concerns, they waived it off. It is stated that no outside food are allowed or you have to pay an extra fee for cleanup, again, we voiced up and they agreed we could have food delivered but we have to pick up from the guardhouse. We received a call for one of our room which had an earlier check out enquiring if we were holding towels and extra glasses. Be careful as they may charge you extra as many reviews has already warned. Flooring tiles are poorly done, feels like you may break or crack them at any moment and afraid they would charge you more the damages. They refuse to top up extra water more than how many guest are staying the room per day and wanting to charge you for it. Never seen or heard ant hotel that has zones such prior. Felt more like we were in a school camp rather than a resort. It is no where close to a four star. It is more of a 2.5 to a 3 star resort. The beach was clustered with many boats and you would have no intention to swim not even wanting to take a dip. It did not feel like it was a private beach. Breakfast food in the bain-marie was left open such as rice and meat, attracting flies. As a trained certified chef, sommelier, and bartender, this goes against all odds of food safety. Though the staff were obliging as a whole, it seems that they were scrutinised by senior management and just following orders. Here is not just a review yet also a feedback to the board committee and senior management to work on the resort. We can clearly compare to blue water maribago, Radisson Blu Hotel, and even Nustar. By far the worst standard of resort that we have been too and for the price that you pay, honestly is not worth. Roof dining on the other hand, food was good and service as well especially to Dexter who made us feel welcome. Housekeeping were also polite as well as the one particular bell hop by the name of Archie who was kind and polite. Having good and well trained staff but terrible maintenance and senior management will still result to a poor review overall.

We recently stayed at Cebu White Sands Resort & Spa and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We booked two separate rooms, but there was ongoing construction directly between them. The constant construction noise made it difficult to relax, and even worse, there was a very strong paint smell that seeped into both rooms. The odor was so overwhelming that one member of our group became sick. The Wi-Fi was also extremely unreliable, making it difficult to stay connected throughout our stay. Another issue was the bathroom. The shower head was old and sprayed water everywhere, causing the bathroom floor to flood every time we showered. We had to clean up the water after each use, which was very inconvenient. The staff were courteous, but we wish the hotel had informed guests about the construction before our arrival or avoided assigning rooms right beside it. With better maintenance and communication, the experience could have been much better.

Stayed for a week! I love the sauna and the gym!! Sure the room is a bit small but with the pool and the beach, one needn‘t stay in. 💢 the food & cocktails are mediocre. The breakfast buffet definitely offers the best experience but the food the rest of the day does decline in quality imo. The pizza, which was really hyped up, is so-so. the cocktails (bogo) are borderline unpleasant and would have preferred better quality at a higher price point. Overall a charming place though, great for families especially or couples dying of baby fever lmao
