Stayed for 5D4N. We booked 2 Superior Rooms - 2 Single Beds and availed breakfast buffet. We booked Mandarin Plaza Hotels since it is near Ayala Center Cebu/Cebu Business Park (we have some agenda to do in that area and we want to avoid the heavy traffic of Cebu City!). The rooms are clean and well maintained (though we were surprised that the toilet has no bidet :D). The breakfast is decent and we enjoyed it. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. We didn’t get the chance to check the other hotel amenities (e.g., pool, gym, etc.). We noticed that the hotel is frequently booked for wedding or birthday receptions. We will definitely book again.

We had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Plaza Hotel. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Ayala Center Cebu, making shopping, dining, and transportation very convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing great value for money.The hotel staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with any requests. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of options, and the facilities, including the swimming pool and fitness center, were well maintained.W also appreciated the flexibility with late check-out. We requested a 3-hour extension, and the hotel kindly allowed us to stay for 6 hours for an additional fee of 1,475 pesos, which was reasonable and very helpful for our travel schedule.What impressed me most was the combination of comfort, convenience, and affordability. Whether traveling for business or leisure, Mandarin Plaza Hotel is a great choice in Cebu City. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cebu.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times and it was very good.|Over the years it changed a lot.|Positive :|Checking in was amazing. The reception was very helpful. My room was updated to a bigger room with 3 single beds.|Showvy, Micah, and Kate were very helpful. The room is very spacious. Negative:|Towel needs to be updated. It looks dirty white.|WiFi never worked the whole 3 days we were there.|It was very annoying. I told the reception but she insisted that it works. So I did not argue no more. By the way it was a different receptionist.

We ordered a room with a large bed. During checkin they tried to give us a room with 2 single beds. When it came time to shower we noticed that there were only 2 towels even though we are 3. I called the reception and their answer was due to the age of the child you get only 2. Any extra towel is a surcharge. Asked for the manager = out. Asked for a supervisor = N/A... told them to get back to me = Nada....

The hotel is quite old and could use some renovations. The bathroom sink was clogged, the bathtub drained very slowly, and the towels were old and in need of replacement. While these issues were inconvenient, I didn't complain because I understand that older hotels can have maintenance challenges. What frustrated me the most was what happened during check-out. I was charged ₱150 for a supposedly missing towel, even though I did not take any towels from the room. I would have gladly gone back upstairs to help look for it myself because I know I didn't take it, but I was rushing to catch my flight to the airport. Instead, I was simply charged for it. It was disappointing to end my stay this way. I hope the hotel improves not only its facilities but also its process for verifying missing items before charging guests.

Scammy vibe from the start. They start by charging us for 2 extra breakfasts. Our reservation was 2 adults and 4 kids. 2 rooms. I guess they mark 2 kids as free stay so they don’t get the breakfast? But they don’t tell you that until you’re there so….488/kid per day so about an extra 3000 for three days. 2000 deposit for each room. If you use a credit card it’s another 10% fee that they keep. So bring cash. They have many many fines for infractions. Don’t do this don’t do that signs and fines. Moving the beds together is 2000 yet the beds have wheels. Went to the pool. The enemy of fun pool police works there. Check in sign in get a towel. Lots of less than friendly looks from him. Then a rough play warning for the kids. The place is a bummer. Gym by the pool is ok. Don’t wear white as it’s all pretty dirty. The shower head is so plugged it blew the seal and just kinda spills out the side. The water did get hot though so nice there. Breakfast was all cold by 8am. All three days. For all the fancy outfits and tables the foods not good. Some of the staff is nice. Toilet hardly worked from the start then was plugged second day. Lara was very nice on our checkout.

Location is excellent. Ayala Mall is 5 minutes walk. SM City mall is 30 minutes walk.There are cafe and restaurants just across the street, McDonald's and 7 eleven just behind Nice Big room, excellent bed and mattress, excellent pillows so nice very comfortable. The room bed mattress & pillows are much better than the 2 other neighboring hotels which are more expensive, I've stayed there too. Breakfast was excellent, buffet and there was bacon yummy.What i didn't like about this hotel are...1)! They still insist on a deposit during check in 2) the overhead shower and the hand shower handle was broken and needed fixing.I like this hotel MORE than the other two neighbour hotels just next door and will choose this again next time

stayed at Mandarin Plaza Hotel recently, and unfortunately my experience at the reception was very disappointing. The female reception staff were quite unfriendly. Whenever guests asked questions, they kept chatting and laughing among themselves instead of paying attention. It felt very unprofessional and made me quite uncomfortable. I hope the hotel management improves the staff’s attitude and customer service in the future.
