Lovely little Dar located a short walk from Bab Souk with a lovely hostess. It was nice to have the option to pay in cash rather than use my credit card. My kids enjoyed the bunk bed in our room, although they were disappointed that the T.V. didn't work (I was fine with that after a long day hiking up and down the town!). Breakfast was hot and ready for us at our scheduled time. Would gladly stay again on a future trip to Chefchaouen!

I cannot say enough about this hotel. It was very well located, clean rooms, beautiful views, awesome breakfast. But what sets them apart is the amazing service. Ahmed and Amina were more than hosts, they literally treated us like family. So candid and generous. Thank you so much for the most welcome stay we are forever grateful. Your family from Ecuador. Immaculate. Warm and friendly hosts. Small but lovely rooms. Carefully curated decor. Fast WiFi. The view from the terrace is superb, and breakfast was very good. We truly appreciated our hosts. They helped us find our way, arranged taxis, and suggested restaurants. Even offered to walk us to several hard-to-find places. (Google maps sufficed in most instances.) You are close to most of what you’ll want to see, and privileged to stay off of the most photogenic stair in the medina ( we heard several guides say this, so it must be true).

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at this charming place in Chefchaouen and couldn’t be happier. Amina and her husband were exceptional hosts, always attentive and kind. The accommodation is located in a picturesque alley, close to a street full of artisan shops, which adds a special touch to the experience. The views from the terrace are stunning, and Amina prepared a spectacular breakfast for us for the morning. The rooms are spacious and decorated with authentic style that truly captures the essence of the region. We felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. We highly recommend this place without hesitation!

You stay here because the owners, Ahmed and Amina are fantastic. Very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They are a little small. Great location for Chefchaouen. There are some steep steps but that is normal for Morocco. The Moroccan Breakfast is very good, fresh homemade bread homemade jams fresh eggs. Great terrace views.

We loved our stay. Fabulous location in the Medina, and the loveliest room we’ve ever stayed in - it was small but beautifully decorated, with a tiny complete bathroom, and next to a terrace overlooking the town. The host Amina was helpful & generous, cooking lovely breakfasts, and providing a bag of breakfast foods on our last evening as we were leaving very early the next day. This is one of those places that you feel lucky to have stayed in.

We had three double rooms in Dar Aldea for our group of 6. The Dar has a beautiful location near the top of the hill (you need to carry luggage through alleyways from the road, but this is normal in Chefchaouen). The hosts were lovely and helpful, including helping us find our way out to our van when leaving (harder than it sounds!). The breakfast provided was simple but definitely adequate. The rooms are extremely small and not very light-proof (eye patches and ear plugs came in handy). One room (off the dining room) was wuite dark and smelt slightly stale, but overall the place was homely and comfortable with a spectacular view from the terrace and some rooms.

My Family & I stayed at Dar Aldea in Chefchaouen, Morocco for 4 nights recently. The city is so beautiful, so many unique shops & restaurants, live music everyday in the main square & so many kind & friendly people. The landscape, mountains, hiking, historic landmarks & view down to the city (especially at sunset) is breathtaking! Staying at Dar Aldea was like staying with family. The host caretakers, Amina & her family live in the house & are there for you whatever you need. They also give you privacy, if that is what you want. Amina made us a homemade fabulous breakfast everyday, she even washed our clothes for us & hung to dry while we were out. Their children are sweet & her husband gave us info on where to go & see. He hiked with us up the mountain to see the sunset too. This is a great place to stay with your family. The bedrooms look like fairy tale rooms, so decorative & very cozy, with comfortable beds. The whole house is visually stunning, very clean, colorful, magical with Moroccan style of fantastic tile work & beautiful intricate painting designs. The roof top patio is like a dream. Comfortable, beautiful sofas & tables. Lots of places to lay down or sit in the sun or shade area too & look at the amazing view down on to the city. You can even hear the live music down in the plaza square from up on the patio rooftop. There is a washing machine up there & lines to hang to dry in the warm sun. Everything is within walking distance from Dar Aldea & the people of Chefchaoun are so helpful & friendly. Many people speak Spanish & English, as well as Darija, Arabic, French, Berber & more. The food, local sweets, breads & amazing fresh fruit juices are wonderful! The beautiful blue stairs going up to Dar Aldea are famous & the most 'Instagramed' in the world. It's fun seeing people all day waiting to take their photos on these stairs. The only thing I would say that would be difficult for some people is there are alot of stairs going up to this house.. but I got more in shape on this trip from all the walking, so it got easier everyday. I really recommend Dar Aldea & Chefchaouen! It was my dream to visit there & it was even more than I dreamed!
