Ken's Backpackers Hotel

The best time to visit Da Lat is from November to March, during the dry season. December through February are the most pleasant months, with cool temperatures and crisp, clear days. You can expect heavy rain from May to October, though showers often pass quickly. The famous Dalat Flower Festival, if it falls during your visit, adds to the charm of the cool, blooming season.

Stay near Dalat City Center if you want to be close to restaurants, markets, and Lam Vien Square. It suits first-timers and those who like walking to main sights. Around Tuyen Lam Lake, you get a quieter, lakeside setting, ideal for relaxation, with resorts like Dalat Wonder Resort or Swiss-Belresort Tuyen Lam. Near the Old Train Station, La Sapinette Hotel offers a charming, local feel and easy access to that landmark and gardens.

Must-sees include Datanla Falls for its dramatic cascades and adventure activities, the quirky and artistic Crazy House with its surreal architecture, Valley of Love for its romantic gardens and lake views, Cu Lan Village for its tranquil pine forest and cultural touches, and Dalat Cable Car for sweeping views over the city and pine hills.

Full-day tours head to Datanla Falls for canyoning and Lang Biang Mountain, with its pine forests and views. The Da Lat Loop tours cover the countryside and surrounding villages. Self-guided trips to the Valley of Love and Cu Lan Village are also popular.

Plan 3 full days to see the main sights: the Crazy House, Datanla waterfall, Valley of Love, and the cable car. A day trip to Lang Biang or the Cu Lan Village fits in a fourth day. Add one more if you want to join a canyoning or loop tour. Four to five days lets you cover the highlights at a relaxed pace.
