This hotel is located in a lovely position by the river/canal in the port area of town. The rooms are clean and well maintained and have sufficient air con for the hot temperatures. The swimming pool is private and well looked after and a lovely place to relax to in the afternoon. The area is lovely a quiet in the evening with no passing traffic and it also has it's own private car park which is a real bonus in Dinan. It doesn't have a restaurant as such but breakfast is varied and very tasty - the loss of the sausages is sad. The biggest plus however are the staff (all of them in my experience). They smile. They are polite, they engage, even when very busy. They are all very good at what they do. A special mention for the ladies looking after then rooms. They work so hard and are a great credit to the company. We loved it here and will return.

We stayed overnight as part of a weekend cycling. The hotel is in a lovely location alongside the river, with plenty of restaurants located nearby. As soon as we arrived staff were so friendly and helpful. They had a small bike rack area toward the rear of the hotel to lock our bikes up safely. Our room had everything we needed. Clean and with a comfortable bed. The shutters kept the light out so we had a good night’s sleep. We use the small heated pool and jacuzzi which was a lovely way to relax in the sunshine after a long cycle ride. We had breakfast which offered a huge variety of continental options, eggs, crepes, fruit, cereal and juices. It was all delicious. Check out was quick and efficient, and the staff filled up our water bottles for our return cycle home. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again the next time we are in Dinan.

Please be careful as Google maps takes you to the wrong side of the river. But other than that, perfect! What makes a hotel isn't just the lovely location, rooms, surroundings (which this has) but it's the people and the hosting. The young lady on reception was superb (and deserves a pay rise). So so welcoming, helpful and makes a guest feel special. I couldn't recommend more!

TOURISTS: DO NOT BOOK THE "PRIVILEGE" ROOM. IT'S A SCAM. We stayed at this hotel for two nights. We had two bookings: one standard room with a balcony and one "Privilege" room that cost €80 more. The standard room with a balcony facing the pool was on the 1st floor. It was exactly the same size as the so-called "Privilege" room. The Privilege room wasn't any bigger, it smelled awful, it only had a small armchair, and it had rural views... of a sheep pen. It was on the ground floor. We asked more than 2 months before arrival to have both rooms on an upper floor. When they didn't do that, we politely asked to be moved to a 1st-floor room in our category. At first they said no. Then, after we complained again because it smelled bad regardless of the view, the receptionist checked if she could give us an upper-floor Privilege room. According to her, the housekeeper had "blocked" it and she couldn't assign it. We asked to be moved the next day and the same staff member said no because it was "booked" - by someone who wasn't even at the hotel yet. Totally unbelievable. When they told us there were no more Privilege rooms, we checked the website ourselves to see if we could book another one... and yes, they had more Privilege rooms available. That's when we figured out the hotel's shady, though not illegal, policy. The hallway where the ground-floor Privilege room with sheep-pen views is located has rooms with the exact same specs as the standard rooms, but they call them "Privilege" because they give you a bathrobe, slippers, a coffee machine, and a minibar with non-alcoholic drinks. There are only two Privilege rooms worth booking on the 1st floor that, according to the floor plan, are actually bigger than the standard ones. It's so frustrating to pay more for a worse room that smells bad and has terrible views. To top it off, as proof of how improvised this "Privilege" room thing is, they haven't even bothered to put the sign on the door like they do for all the others.

What a wonderful hotel! Superb location on the quayside, and free secure parking. Very pleasant staff. Room was excellent value, immaculately clean, and a very spacious and well appointed bathroom. Windows had electric blackout shutters which were superb. They have a bar and a heated pool. Great view of the old city walls. Didn't have breakfast. No restaurant, but just down the street is a good brewery that has excellent food (if you can eventually get served and don't mind a surly barman). Highest recommendation.

If you rely on Google Maps for driving there you will be stunned as G/Maps produces weird results lately. In this case it takes you to the opposite river bank suggesting to take a swim across or use other unspecified means. Yet to reach the hotel by car you have to drive Rue de la Madelleine all the way down to the river, make a right and slowly proceed to the hotel. The hotel is very good. The location on the river bank is convenient, some 300 meters to the town entrance though the steep walk to the center may take an effort. The front desk are very noce and helpful. The room was good size, clean, very quiet. They have a swimming pool and jacuzzi and a fitness room.

First time staying here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, but, definitely won’t be the last. Fantastic hotel, kind, helpful, smiley staff. Lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi, towels provided. Great bar and outside terrace and a very good breakfast.

A great hotel to use as a base for exploring Dinan and the surrounding area, especially if you are driving and need to park your car securely. We stayed here for 3 nights in a room with a small private terrace, close to the pool. The hotel staff are so friendly and we received a warm welcome. Everything we needed to know was clearly explained. Tea/Coffee making facilities are in the room and water fountains are in the corridor. You can fill your own bottles. We were extremely comfortable and our room was a good size. As the weather was so beautiful, we did spend a bit of time at the pool. Additional towels can be collected from the changing area. We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis. The buffet breakfast is really good ( except the coffee, which was surprisingly awful for France) with plenty of choice. Staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful, but I'd have appreciated them offering to clear used plates/bowls from our table to give us a bit more space. This didn't happen on any morning we were there. The bars and restaurants at the port were fabulous. We ate at three different places and enjoyed every single one. It's a steep walk up the cobbled hill to Dinan but there is a local shuttle bus ( Dinamo) which appears to be free of charge and runs regularly during the days - Monday to Saturday. This will be the hotel we use when we return to Dinan. We think it's great. ( Be mindful that Sat Nav may not bring you directly to the hotel. We did have a few initial problems coming in on D12 but found coming in, down hill on Rue de la Madeleine was the easiest)
