Frequently asked questions about Dubai

When is the best time to visit Dubai?

November to March is the best time to visit Dubai, with mild, sunny days and comfortable evenings. April and May are still pleasant but noticeably hotter, while June through September is the hottest stretch with high humidity. Ramadan, a major cultural festival, alters daytime rhythms and is a distinct time to experience the city.

Which area should I stay in in Dubai?

For a first visit, Downtown Dubai suits sightseers, with easy access to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. The Palm Jumeirah offers a resort feel with beach hotels like the Waldorf Astoria and Five Palm. Business Bay, with the JW Marriott Marquis, works for business travelers. Jumeirah Beach is ideal for families seeking a relaxed, beachside base.

What are the must-see attractions in Dubai?

Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest building with panoramic views. The Dubai Fountain offers choreographed water shows. Dubai Miracle Garden dazzles with floral displays. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo showcases marine life. Dubai Frame frames the city's old and new vistas.

What day trips can I take from Dubai?

You can take a full-day tour to Abu Dhabi, which includes a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Desert safaris are also popular day trips, offering dune bashing, camel rides, and a barbecue dinner in the desert. These tours typically depart from Dubai and return in the evening.

How many days do I need in Dubai?

Four to five days lets you see Burj Khalifa, Dubai Fountain, and Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo in Downtown, plus Dubai Frame and a trip to Dubai Miracle Garden. Six days would let you add The View Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina Walk. If you take a full-day desert or Abu Dhabi tour, add an extra day.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had in the UAE. The customer service was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. I found some members of staff particularly rude and unhelpful, and the overall attitude towards guests was very poor. The housekeeping was also extremely bad. Basic items such as toothpaste and toothbrushes were not provided, and even when we asked for tissues or water, staff appeared reluctant to provide them. The rooms are old, poorly maintained and in need of serious refurbishment. We experienced toilet leakage, and there were no proper blinds or blackout curtains, which made it extremely difficult for our young children to sleep during both the day and night. The biggest issue, however, was what happened with the security deposit and the remote control. We paid a AED 200 deposit. During our stay, my son accidentally dropped the remote control, causing it to open. Housekeeping took a picture and apparently sent it to management. When we returned to the room, I personally fixed the remote. It was working properly. When we checked out, the hotel suddenly demanded AED 395 for the remote. I explained that I had already fixed it and took the manager to the room myself to demonstrate that it was working. We tested it with the TV and it worked. At that point, instead of accepting that the remote was functioning, they changed the explanation and claimed that there had supposedly been four remotes in the room when we checked in. I asked them to provide evidence of this — such as a room inventory, check-in checklist, photographs, or any document showing that four remotes were present when we arrived. They were unable to show me any such evidence. I repeatedly asked them to deal with the matter quickly because I was already at risk of missing my flight. Instead, they continued going through the room and started raising additional claims, saying things such as a towel and bedsheet were missing. What was particularly disappointing was the change in attitude. At reception they were speaking politely, but once I took the manager to the room to demonstrate the remote and discuss the alleged damage, their attitude became increasingly rude and confrontational. I have stayed in many hotels in the UAE, and this was by far one of the most frustrating experiences I have had. The combination of poor housekeeping, badly maintained rooms, inadequate basic amenities, poor customer service and the way the deposit issue was handled was completely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend that management seriously review the condition of the rooms, housekeeping standards, staff behaviour and, most importantly, the way guests are treated when there is a dispute over deposits or alleged missing/damaged items. I have fully recording but there is no option to post it here

Good location, can walk to the Dubai Tower in 20 minutes, also 20 minutes drive to the airport ~ good service, clean, and also a surprise for a very check in guest. Thanks Dubai for healing me from the last round horrible apartment experience at Montenegro~ ❤️

The location is ideal—situated close enough to [mention nearby dubai mall, train station, or beach] for an easy walk, yet tucked away enough to provide a calm and peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to [City/Destination]. If you are debating whether to book here, do not hesitate—it is easily one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had and thank you to Arab for his help for the taxi all the times

I came from Saudi Arabia and stayed at DAMAC Maison during my visit to Dubai. My stay was very comfortable, the room was clean and spacious, and the location was excellent and close to major attractions. The overall service was outstanding. I would especially like to thank the Pakistani receptionist, whose name I believe was Ammar or Umair. He was extremely helpful, professional, and welcoming, always willing to assist with a positive attitude. His excellent service made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Dubai.
