My fiancée and I stayed here for a few nights leading up to our wedding, and our experience was absolutely fantastic. The customer service was among the best we have ever experienced, and every member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was truly perfect. Our room was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The location is perfect being across from the park but also next to shopping, dining, and pubs. The attention to detail, welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service made our stay especially memorable during such an important time for us. We will absolutely be staying here again on future visits to Dublin. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special!

We stayed for two nights at the Shelbourne to attend a family wedding. A much more expensive and extravagant stay than we would usually go for, but worth every penny. The staff were helpful and accommodating, and given that the wedding was at the hotel the entire weekend was made much more convenient for us by staying here.

My family and I stayed here and was wonderful! Roma were comfortable, staff excellent and knowledgeable, location central to all. Breakfast in the Saddle Room was very good. Service in the “24” lounge was great. While expensive you definitely get what you pay for!

The Shelbourne in a word was SPECIAL. It is a fabulous location with beautiful rooms and restaurants a fabulous home away from home. The staff are so kind and informative and helpful. The rooms were clean and beautifully appointed. We ate or had drinks in 3 of the eateries, and enjoyed each one for it's decor and friendly staff. We will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Dublin!!

Everything was absolutely perfect. Breakfast was a definite high point. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and well appointed. Every staff interaction, from the doorman to the desk clerk to the waiters to the cleaners, was impeccable. We could not ask for better. We will always have fond memories of Dublin because of our stay at The Shelbourne

Stayed here 4 nights on my first trip to Ireland in 2022. Landed at Dublin Airport early in the morning and went directly to the hotel - the staff was wonderful, welcomed us and let us have our room early (6:30 or 7:00 AM on check in day, when we weren't supposed to get our room until 3:00 or 4:00 PM, I think). Perfect location for visiting Dublin, between walking and hop on/off bus you can get to everything you'd want to visit. Beautiful hotel with wonderful bars and restaurants. The breakfast was outstanding, and I loved both the parlor bar and the library bar. The Irish national rugby team stayed here at the same time as us, so I knew it must be good! Couldn't recommend this more highly.

The service was impeccable. From the time we pulled in and were met with friendly greetings and assistance with our bags. Check in was quick and easy. The room was amazing and the turn down service was a wonderful touch. I could not have asked for more in my stay or the service provided. I had spent 3 nights in another hotel prior to my stay at The Shelbourne and the experience at The Shelbourne was elevated and the experience was truly the best.

Marvelous stay. Beautiful hotel with a unique history. Cian at the front desk was unbelievably kind and accommodating. Room was small, but enough space for my wife and I. Bathroom was updated and clean. Location is great for walking and exploring Dublin. If I come back to Dublin, I can’t imagine myself staying anywhere else. Definitely worth the splurge.

Response from the property

Dear Zachary, Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful and thoughtful review. We are truly delighted to hear that you had a marvellous stay and that you enjoyed the unique history and character of The Shelbourne. It is especially rewarding to know that Cian at the front desk made such a positive impression with his kindness and accommodating approach, your praise will most certainly be shared with him, and I know he will be genuinely touched by your words. We are pleased that your room, while cosy, suited you and your wife comfortably, and that the updated bathroom, cleanliness, and overall comfort met your expectations. It’s also lovely to hear that our central location enhanced your ability to explore and enjoy Dublin on foot. To be described as “definitely worth the splurge” and as your first choice should you return to Dublin is truly the highest compliment we could receive. Thank you for choosing The Shelbourne and for taking the time to share your experience. We very much look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Warm regards, Andrew J.
