Hotel President Wilson, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Geneva· 9 years agoFrom the moment I arrived, I was acknowledged and made to feel welcome, wanted, and special. As a Platinum guest you never quite know (beyond the perfunctory "thanks for being platinum" and request about your chosen amenity) what the hotel will be like. Well, this hotel had truly outstanding people. Gary, whom I believe is a manager, went out of his way to make sure everything was great for me. My room had beautiful views over the water and the weather made it perfect to open the windows. I found the bed super hard and did not sleep as well as normal, but everything else was very comfortable and well kept in my room. The concierge staff are terrific and so are the front desk, and the maids do impeccable work. My room was spotless. Unfortunately, my room service one night was poor and forgetful (3 times to remember all the stuff that came with an over-cooked burger). But that was minor. I think this property lives up to its LUXURY reputation in no small part due to Gary and the excellent staff. The location is great for me and, as I run every morning, I completely enjoyed the easy access to everything. I'll be back next year!

Google· Edited 3 months agoBeautiful hotel! The swimming pool area is the best part! I chose it for that reason. I also saw the star chef of the restaurant which I will try next time. The service there was lovely! However location is a bit scary as a woman avoid walking to the train station following GPS you will go straight to the red light district. Take the lake way. Also checking out of the hotel I left two large suitcases and went to get coffee from the restaurant which is actually beautiful. Lake view… when I went to ask for it the man brought it and basically rolled it out and just left it there. Ok how about asking if I need help getting my luggage to the car? Not his job? ok but maybe get someone? I had to drag my 2 luggage myself not a 5 star service. But thankfully a very nice porter helped me and my friend who was picking me up load it to the car. Please do better.

Tripadvisor· a month agoPros: Good location, right on the lakefront. Very friendly hotel staff - absolutely zero service complaints. Cons: I feel... scammed, I guess. I booked a partial lake view room in a 5 star LHW collection hotel as a Bonvoy Gold member. What I got was the tiniest little sliver of a lake if I stood as far to the side of my window as I possibly could and craned my neck so far that it hurt. The room itself felt like a relic from the late 80s. It was clean, but clearly outdated and in desperate need of a renovation. Good luck finding an outlet anywhere. It was a nice enough stay, but absolutely not worth the price I paid. I would have enjoyed a random chain hotel in just about any location in the city just as much for a third of the price. I'd have walked away from this experience happy as a clam if I paid a third of what I did. Unfortunately... Ultimately, while I have no major complaints, the value for money just isn't here with this hotel. Next time I will either splurge for one of the nicer 5 star hotels on the lake or just book something simplistic for a fraction of the price.

Google· 2 months agoThe rooms feel very outdated, with old televisions, no USB charging outlets, and décor that seems stuck in the 1990s. Even the remote control is enormous and heavy, like a brick. Despite booking a high-end room, only a tiny bottle of water was provided—which feels particularly stingy in Switzerland, a country with an abundance of excellent water. On the positive side, the service was excellent, and the hotel was extremely clean and welcoming. Stay here if you don’t intend to spend much time in your room, although the dated facilities are difficult to justify given the high prices.

Tripadvisor· 2 months agoAs a business owner, I commend the owner of this hotel. Seriously outstanding job, sir. The only hiccup I had was I filled out the online form for airport pick up, but somehow it didn’t get through. However, the concierge was on it and apologetic. I was choosing between the Four Seasons, St. Regis and this hotel. This will be my go to Geneva, Hotel. I mean the level of service is perfection I did not encounter anybody that was not exceptional. However, these people I interacted with daily and they were outstanding. Sebastian concierge|Max valet|Pierto concierge Anais and Virginia Hotel front desk|Justine waitress|Alix busboy ?|Paul concierge|Simone pool ( he even remembered my name and where I had sat by the pool the previous day)|Lionel at breakfast |Pros: staff, location, the Rive Droite Bouef Swiss dinner, the housekeeping staff unbelievably amazing! Seriously, the best housekeeping staff I have ever encountered. They went above and beyond. They arranged my items and folded my clothes. The room was always spotless. Absolutely stay here and get a room with a Lakeview! If you want to be treated like royalty, this is the hotel!

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the elegant atmosphere, excellent service, and attention to detail. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. My room was beautifully designed, comfortable, spotless, and offered everything I needed for a relaxing experience. The location is also excellent, making it very convenient to explore Geneva. What stood out most was the exceptional hospitality and the high level of service. Every detail made me feel truly welcomed and well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel President Wilson to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Geneva. Google· 4 months agoThe rooms need a complete refurbishment. They are extremely outdated.. this is a presumably five star hotel at rates around $700+ apernight. The bathroom was very small with a cheap showerhead and a very low ceiling in the shower. I can’t spend this money on a hotel and not expect a decent shower. On the bright side the common areas of the hotel are very lovely and there are plenty of helpful staff around at all times and the pool area is very nice. so no complaints there. The Internet speed is very slow . And lastly, breakfast was a disppointment. Despite the price tag they cannot deliver a decent cappuccino and . a nothing special buffet which would be fine in a chepaer hotel but not in a 5 star.. I’ve had so much better breakfast at other luxury hotels in Switzerland and visited lausanne palace the next day and wow- amazing coffee and breakfast.I think no attention to detail at the hotel as get by on their history and owners dodt want to spend ion improvements

Tripadvisor· 3 months agoThis is a very nice hotel on the lake. Every staff member that I interacted with was truly great. I do, however, need to give a shout out to a member of the bar staff: Daniel. Not only is he one of those people that anticipates your needs (as in almost psychic), but we’d mention an issue at the hotel in passing and he would immediately get it resolved. I doubt that Barman/Concierge is an official position at the hotel, but that seemed to be his role throughout our stay. I really cannot praise him enough. He really made our stay a memorable one.
