Decent enough location but much of everything else was lacking. It's very small and more of a hotel room layout than an apartment. We had an issue with booking and had contacted the staff via email to resolve it before our arrival since payment had been taken, but no one ever got in contact with us. Reception closes at 8 pm, and we checked in just before that, so when we realized that the room had no working air conditioning, there was no one to contact. Upon our mentioning it in the morning, we were informed it had to be manually turned on. This information meant precious little to us as we had already experienced a sweltering night with little sleep (and that too with young children). Breakfast was limited, items weren't clearly labeled, and the staff member covering the area was very short and rude. Beds in the room were very small, narrow, and short, making it difficult to get comfortable. No iron or ironing board was available. Most concerning was the evangelical religious tract left for us in the room. Given that it was placed in an open location, there is no reason to think that the previous resident left it unless the room was not cleaned before our arrival. There is parking, they mention you can charge your car if you have an electric one, but the process to register and obtain access is convoluted and requires unnecessary payments.

I have stayed at this hotel three times, and each time I’ve had a very positive experience. The service has consistently been excellent. During my third visit, I arrived late due to work commitments, but Mr. Luc still greeted me warmly, which I truly appreciated. The receptionist who checked me in was also very friendly and helpful—she clearly explained how to find my room and how to use the key card. Overall, the staff’s professionalism and kindness made my stays very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms are pleasant, well kept, neat. The service staff is kind and friendly. After a few visits one is recognized... There is a good elevator. Breakfast is good, unlimited tasty coffee, sweet breads, granola etc. The location is excellent, a short walk to Dampoort station and the flixbus stop. Several buslines have stops right nearby. A short walk away there is there are other restaurants and a wonderful place for beer afficionados (trappistenhuis). The Sing Anna church nearby is very beautiful, and actually the kasteellaan that the hotel is on itself is a jewel of architecture. The price is very reasonable as well.

An excellent hotel, slightly away from the centre of Ghent which meant it was in a queter location, but not too far to walk. Room very clean with excellent walk in shower and great to have a seperate living room. Range of food for breakfast was excellent and their adjoing restaurant was superb. Surprised it wasn't busier. My wife is gluten free and was provided with biggest selection of tasty gluten free treats at breakfast we have ever had. All staff were very helpful with a particularly helpful waitress in the restaurant and the receptionst very helpfully advised us on a better way to transfer to Bruges saving us a few Euros. All in all a good experience

Apartment-style rooms were very roomy with separate master bedroom and kitchenette that include a stove top and mini fridge. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was an issue with our a/c, but they were able to fix it that day. The breakfast was great with lots of options. The walk to the city center was a little longer than I liked, about 20 minutes. It was about a 10 minute walk to the train station. The price was reasonable compared to other places we looked at.

My husband and I just returned from three nights at the Aparthotel Castelnou. Great place! Clean, quiet, and a great staff. Onsite parking was well worth the cost. The Apartment we had was well appointed, the mattress comfy and the shower was great. The area is quiet and easy to walk. The buffet is lovely, nothing outrageous, fresh bakery, yogurt, juices, eggs, bacon, granola among others.

We had a great stay here with our one year old and three year old! We appreciated the cot and rollaway bed set up upon our arrival, and the walk to city center was about 15 min so not too bad. Breakfast was good as well. Special thank you to Sandra and Famke who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful!
