Stayed at Wanda Realm Hotel Harbin during my winter trip and had a very comfortable experience. The hotel is modern, well maintained, and especially welcoming during Harbin’s cold weather. Rooms were spacious, clean, and warm, which made a big difference after long days outdoors. Staff were professional and helpful. The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping mall. A solid choice if you’re visiting Harbin and want comfort and reliability during winter.

Wanted to give my thanks to Joe for picking us up in the airport and helping us all around. He is naturally helpful and kind. Well the hotel is grand. It is old but they maintain it. We booked suite room and it is very spacious and comfortable. Bed is just fine and huge bathroom. They make sure to clean our room every day. Location wise is excellent . Close to many malls, travel time to sofia church and some other famous attractions is about 25mins. Just the food selection in this hotel is limited. The chinese restaurant seems close or fully booked all the time and the japanese restaurant is close the whole duration of our week. Hotel says because its off season. I didn't take pictures to share but We definitely gonna book this hotel when we come back to harbin.

We were overwhelmed by the hospitality provided at Wanda Realm even prior to our arrival. Ms Yuting from the front desk and Mr Tengfei from the concerige had been giving us so much advice and help even before our arrival. They are definitely a gem to the hotel and it certainly makes our stay a very special one at Harbin. We booked a one bedroom suite which we added two extra beds for our boys. Suite was still very spacious even with the extra beds added. Bathroom was huge and water pressure was strong. Only downside in winter, the air-conditioning cannot be on in all Harbin's hotels. However, not really an issue here as the window can be open slightly if ever u need some cold air in the room. This hotel is conveniently located about 10 mins away from the Harbin West train station and surroundings plenty of eateries and two malls just within walking distance. Definitely a recommended location to stay in.

Good 4-night stay at Wanda Realm Harbin during winter season around February. The room was clean, spacious, and very warm, which was nice during the cold weather. Staff were polite and helpful, but communication in English was a bit difficult at times. Overall still a comfortable and pleasant stay. Would stay again.

the hotel was great value for the price and has a few excellent points. Location is easy to get to the airport and ok for the winter attractions. Rooms are nice, though are showing their age. The facilities (gym/pool) we decided to avoid; they don't offer the resort or relaxation of other five star hotels. Food was consistently good and the club lounge is easily one of the best decors I've found. The service was consistently good from checkin especially. I would stay here again if Im in Harbin, but I would stress that I have allergies to try and get a real smoke-free room (our bathroom....)

Decor in the rooms is getting a bit dated and my room was a bit dusty. Noisy traffic on East side and noisy shop loud speaker on West side, which can be a mild annoyance. Air conditioning doesn't cool. But overall a good hotel with excellent breakfast and service.

The room was very comfortable. It comprised a smallish TV, coffee/tea/kettle, room safe, bottled water, desk, comfortable chair. There was also an ironing board and iron. In common with many Chinese hotel rooms, there was a glass panel between the bedroom and the bathroom – it could be obscured using a blind if privacy was required. The large bed was firm. For reasons unknown, one of the windows had been left open, though there was no smell of smoke. Storage space was on the sparse side. The air conditioning was quiet and worked efficiently. The bathroom had large containers for shampoo, body wash and conditioner. There was a small body lotion container and paper tissues. Toothbrush/paste were provided. Towels were soft and replaced daily. Water was always hot and plentiful. One feature I liked were the bright lights over the bat, making it easier to see when cutting my toe nails. The shower was separate from the WC. Another feature I liked was the shower had a short drying line which was great, allowing my washing to drip in the shower rather than on the bathroom floor. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner at various times. They were all buffet style and had a wide range of western and Chinese dishes. The buffet restaurant tended to fill up quickly soon after opening. It was fun to see white robots travelling around, up and down the lifts though it was not clear what they were doing. The room was very near a large shopping mall and several good restaurants The room was good but for the desk “collapsing” – one end of it had been precariously balanced on part of a narrow ledge. I left the desk lamp on the floor hoping it might alert the maid to a problem but my hopes were in vain. The desk lamp was left on the floor. As a result, I gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5.|

Very nice hotel in Harbin. Great upscale value for the price point - we got rooms for approx 800 rmb or $120 per night. Large spacious rooms and nice bathroom. Call out to the concierge Wesley who provided excellent service in recommending sites to see and organizing a car for us for 500rmb or approx $80 per day. Only con is the location isn’t most convenient - approx 30 min taxi or didi to get to the main pedestrian street in downtown

When is the best time to visit Harbin?

The best time to visit Harbin is from December to February, when the city is at its coldest and the famous Ice and Snow Festival is in full swing. These months offer the most iconic experience, with ice sculptures and winter activities. If you prefer milder weather, May to September is pleasant, though July and August are the rainiest months. The hottest stretch is July, with average highs around 28°C, but the summer is still comfortable for exploring the city's parks and Russian architecture.

Which area should I stay in in Harbin?

Stay in Daoli for Central Street and the flood control monument, ideal for first-timers and evening strolls. Nangang suits business travelers and those wanting easy metro access, with Sofitel Harbin nearby. Xiangfang offers a quieter, local feel and is close to the convention center, where Sheraton Harbin Xiangfang Hotel is located. Haxi works well for train travelers, with several hotels near the west railway station.

What are the must-see attractions in Harbin?

Saint Sophia Cathedral is a striking Russian Orthodox landmark with a distinctive green dome. Central Street is a pedestrian promenade lined with European-style architecture. The Harbin Ice and Snow World showcases massive illuminated ice sculptures in winter. Sun Island offers a scenic riverside park and the International Snow Sculpture Art Expo. What day trips can I take from Harbin?

The full-day tours from Harbin go to the Ice and Snow Festival, the city's Russian historical sites, and Volga Manor, a Russian-themed park. A private tour also visits Yingjie Hot Spring in Bin County. For a classic day trip, you could also head to the Siberian Tiger Park, a well-known reserve outside the city.

How many days do I need in Harbin?

Plan 3 to 4 days. In 3 days, see Saint Sophia Cathedral, Central Street, and the Ice and Snow World, plus the Siberian Tiger Park. Add a fourth day for the Sun Island Snow Sculpture Art Expo or a day trip to Volga Manor, which needs an extra day. Two days feels rushed for the main sights and a relaxed pace.
