A 2-night experience that exceeded expectations! Location: Unbeatable, with a tram and metro station right outside the hotel. Staff: Very friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and breakfast service. The receptionist even asked which view I preferred before checking in. Amenities: The hotel gym was closed, but we could use the gym at the nearby Scandic hotel. Breakfast offered a good variety and was fresh and clean. Room: Clean overall, but I found some hair from the previous guest in the bathroom. There was no minibar, kettle, or coffee/tea setup in the room. Overall, I'm happy with my stay and give it a 4.5-star rating.

A very pleasant stay, though be aware of significant traffic noise if the room faces the public transport hub. Great location, with easy access to public transport and a short distance to the city center. Friendly staff, especially the chatty lady in the breakfast room. Staff like that make the world a better place and make you want to come back. Recommended!

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy.I had a room on the 4th floor. Large window and good view facing the square. I suppose higher-floor rooms will be even better.Towel replacement is kind of upon request for environmental reason. If no request, replacement is done after 4 nights. Room size is satisfactory. The corridor between the bed and wallmounted television is slightly narrow though. I like the large desk area the most.Bathroom ceiling occasionally had a little noise... hope that was not related to the scary room-at-end-of-corridor thing🤔...

Location next to the metro. Luggage storage after checkout. For a 4-star hotel, it'd be nice to at least have kettles in the room, although I understand this is a policy to encourage buying hot drinks and breakfast at the hotel. Due to roadworks in front of the hotel it was noisy - not hotel's fault, but information in advance would have been welcome.

This big hotel situated not far from central station and with tram in front of the door and Hakaniemi metrostation underneath. So very convenient to explore the city. At check I was asked whether I wanted a room at the front or the back. I chose the back which was very quiet. When I had a problem with the airco the lady at the reception came to my room on the 6th floor herself to help! Two fast elevators get you to your floorlevel quickly. One minor thing: the mattresses are very hard. But I have encountered that at many hotels lately...

The staff were very friendly, and the location was excellent—right next to the metro station, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The only downside was that some amenities didn’t match the photos. The room was shown with a kettle and complimentary tea/coffee, but these were not provided. The gym was also disappointing; the pictures showed basic equipment including dumbbells, but in reality there was very little equipment available. Overall, a good stay thanks to the great location and friendly staff.

I have stayed at Scandic a few times, when I have visited Finland to see family. This time my experience wasn’t as good. In previous visits breakfast was included, but on my recent visit, to have breakfast would cost €20 a day and no discount for my youngest at 14. The gym has got worst, as there is hardly any equipment remaining. Also, rewards points is a joke. I had over 10,000 points and I receive emails saying I can book an extra night, but when I try, they have a get out clause that don’t allow this. I was allowed to use my points for 1x breakfast at €20, however a room is €100, so this seems unfair. Staff are very helpful and polite, it’s the overall charges, facilities and points incentive that I am marking down my Scandic experience.

Expensive for an average product. The check is at 4pm...Be aware of this. If you arrive early you incur a cost or you lose a day running back as it's not that close to the sites. The foyer is run down. It's depressing. The rooms are clean. The facilities are aged. No mini fridge. The breakfast is of the worst quality. I'm sure there are better places.
