I would stay again, but I do hope they fix a few things before then. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, but not everyone is on the same page. For instance, one staff member might do one thing when checking out beach equipment while someone else will do something completely different. The same thing with check-in. These are not deal breakers, but the experience for one family is going to be totally different from another family because something wasn't explained thoroughly or offered during check-in because there are not on the same page. The rooms are decent. They are clean and spacious, but there is only one mirror, which is in the RR, there should also be one in the common area to expedite grooming. They bring fresh towels and replenish toiletries daily, but it would be nice if they also vacuumed daily, due to sand from the beach. They also offered free daily activities, but we were unaware because there were no visible signs or communication about it. They do have pools, sauna, gym, dining area (open for breakfast) and a convenience store attached, which was all lovely. I think with all staff aligned and a few changes in the rooms, this place could be suuuuuper amazing.

Great location, Room had an excellent view, was clean but needs an upgrade, showing its age. The best thing for us was VINCE from Reception. He was amazing going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We really enjoyed the Historic Walking Tour with Vince. He was so knowledgeable and great fun to be around his love of Hawaii and its people was infectious. We would not hesitate to return just to spend more time with him. Vince you are a gem and an amazing human. Thank you for making our stay so great. Bruce and Barbara from Sydney Australia.

On check-in in unfortunately had an accessibility issue with one room I booked for my mother and grandmother, nor was impressed with the penthouse I had. However, the staff worked tirelessly to help me reshuffle the rooms to make it work. Staff took me around to look at 5-6 available rooms to check their layouts and accessibility. Vince (and other staff) was an incredible help with this whole issue and was continually working for a fix - I can wholeheartedly say that if Vince wasn't there, we would not have enjoyed out stay. I ended up having joined kitchenettes with my family, which was actually fantastic, with tons of space and great views. The staff at reception were very friendly the whole time, even with the difficult staff - big shout out to Ralph as well who could not do enough to help with anything we needed. The hotel is very well placed, only a 10 minute walk to both shops and 10-15 to beach. 5 minute walk to some AMAZING food trucks as well, which was our dinner for multiple nights!! Vallet parking is a bit pricey at $50 a night, but the cost is in line with nearby hotels so can't really complain. The buffet breakfast is reasonable, although the seating is extremely limited so plan your arrival time carefully! I will definitely strongly consider staying here again when I next come to Waikiki. Thank you Vince and the rest of the hotel team for your amazing work!!

What a great hotel. I didn't know what to expect but I was so happy to pick this hotel. The staff was nothing but the best. The location was great close to everything. There were some previous comments about noise happening outside. If you can remember that it's downtown and that there will always be noise outside then there's not an issue. I slept great and had absolutely no complaints. I had no issues with safety as everything is locked down unless you have a key card. Also I'm in Hawaii so all I wanted to do was be on the beach. Having a smaller pool did not bother me because that wasn't my preference. The sauna room was fantastic. The best thing about this hotel was that within walking distance were great restaurants and shops.

The location of the hotel is really close to waikiki beach 10 min walk , grab your coffee on the way and go to the beach , the hotel staffs are amazing, very helpful, supportive, friendly, every single one of them , this is really important as a solo traveller I had so many questions and inquiries and they helped me to solve everything in an instance. They even have weights to weigh my luggage before the flight. The room had a stunning balcony, everything so clean, no smell no mold, everything was working , the AC , the mini fridge, they even gave me a kettle because i said I loved having coffee in the morning. They have tours as well , activities like hula dancing , Lei making, there is an ABC store for your water , fruits , snacks , sunscreen . Very convenient . I Highly recommend this hotel.

Sadly, the typical case: it looks much nicer in the photos. The hotel room unfortunately smelled bad because of the air conditioning, and the bathtub was quite dirty. A lot of things need renovating. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel is really overdue for a renovation. It seems to me they’re trying to put it off for as long as possible (it’s been at least 10 years). The gym is just one adjustable bench, a few dumbbells and 4-5 cardio machines, so I wouldn’t call it a gym the way it’s advertised.

Despite being in the heart of Waikīkī, the hotel offers a remarkably peaceful night’s sleep, something that’s increasingly rare in such a vibrant destination. I booked Hotel La Croix as a last-minute extension to my stay, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip. Every detail felt intentional, from the comfortable accommodations to the complimentary morning coffee, which was an excellent touch and the perfect way to start each day. Location is where this hotel truly shines. You’re just moments from the beach, surrounded by outstanding restaurants, shopping, and everything Waikīkī has to offer, yet the property still manages to feel like a relaxing retreat from the crowds. Hotel La Croix delivers exactly what great hospitality should: exceptional service, comfort, value, and a location that’s difficult to beat. It’s a hotel I’d happily return to and confidently recommend to anyone visiting Honolulu.

There are much better places to stay than this hotel. The hotel room was very old and had a musty smell as soon as we walked in. The bathtub plug was broken, there was hair on the shower curtain left behind by previous guests, and the bedsheets had a noticeable stain. Overall, we were dissatisfied with the cleanliness and condition of the room. Based on the numerous positive reviews, I wonder if there are different room tiers, with some rooms renovated and others not. This is just speculation, but I find it hard to understand the number of positive room reviews given the condition of ours. We did have a positive experience with the pool bartender. He was AWESOME, and this hotel is lucky to have him. Unfortunately, even the pool area had cleanliness issues. There was a Band-Aid stuck to the wall, and something gross touched my foot when I was in the pool... We were also disappointed that we couldn't order food to the pool as advertised. For location, the hotel was alright. The beach wasn’t too far away, but there are definitely other hotels that are much closer to both the beach and shopping. Toward the end of our trip, we stayed at Queen Kapiolani Hotel, and the difference was noticeable. It was much more conveniently located, with the beach and shopping within a shorter walking distance. We had a much better experience there.
