This is possibly the best B&B in South Island New Zealand. The room and ensuite was spacious. The room was spotlessly clean and the garden and surroundings were immaculate. Breakfast was very good Julie was our host. She was friendly and gave loads of advice regarding the surrounding area. We wish we had stayed longer than just one night. Very highly recommended.

Bendamere House Bed and Breakfast is an absolutely wonderful place to stay in Kaikoura. It's a very sweet and charming B&B with beautiful, cozy rooms that immediately make you feel at home. The owner is a truly lovely and kind lady who made us feel very welcome. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and prepared with so much care. The view is absolutely stunning, and the location is perfect - very central and convenient for exploring Kaikoura. Honestly, we can't think of a single thing to complain about. It was a very cozy, familiar, and heartwarming stay, and we would highly recommend this lovely Bed & Breakfast to anyone.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our road trip around New Zealand. The rooms are so homely and comfortable with great views too, breakfast in a communal area was lovely too. Julie the owner is so welcoming and makes the stay even better, she even makes you fresh shortbread. It’s a short walk into town with plenty of restaurants and a short drive to the seal colony where you see so many seals! We were sad to leave. I would highly recommend this accommodation as you really do get the personal touch. Thanks Julie!

Excellent B&B, stunning views from the gardens and the room. Amazing shortbread biscuits Ted Lasso would be proud of them. BTW, none of the photos do the views justice.

This is a great B&B boutique hotel. The hotel is set in lovely green surroundings with fantastic views of the ocean. The rooms are purpose built and have excellent facilities. The bedrooms were very comfortable and luxurious. There was sufficient parking for all the guests. It is a short walk from kiakoura town and the activity’s such as whale watching and the dolphins. There is also easy walk to the local restaurants. The breakfast was delicious.

We had a wonderful stay at Bendamere House - everything was spotless and well kept, the property was beautiful, the views onto the sea were gorgeous and Julie and Kerry were fantastic hosts. The homemade shortbread in our room was a lovely thoughtful detail and breakfast was a treat. I would highly recommend booking a stay here.

Absolutely stunning! As we were walking toward our room and I saw the view, my jaw dropped. Words cannot describe how beautiful it is. The hosts are so welcoming and lovely. Breakfast was wonderful. The only downside is we only planned for 1 night. Had I known how amazing it was, I would have stayed longer! If you don’t have a car, it is a bit of a walk up a hill. Not too strenuous or anything, but if you have mobility issues you may want to take a taxi.
