A weekend with friends at Koura bay we had pretty much the whole wing to ourselves. Rooms are plush and clean, bathrooms are great with a bath as well as a shower, Dinner was lovely and appologies if we were loud and raucous, golf was fun, certainly not pro! And the views were spectacular !! Thanks for hosting!

What an excellent find - whether or not you are a golfer this is a wonderful place to stay, expansive sea views, lush green golf course right outside your door. Wonderfully appointed rooms, we stayed in the deluxe suite and it really was deluxe. We stayed 2 nights and felt very lucky to be in such a special place. Everything is exactly as described on their website.

My husband and I came here as we purchased a grab one deal for 2 nights away which included breakfast and unlimited green fees. After speaking with Jen when I booked and mentioned we were coming there for our first wedding anniversary, she graciously upgraded our room for us. Both Jen and Warren and The Koura Bay team were extremely welcoming and super lovely. We had such an incredible time and really appreciated them going the extra mile to make our first anniversary something very special. We will definitely be back again sometime soon and can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you!

A lovely quiet place to stay out of town. Stayed here for a few days as we toured New Zealand. The host was really welcoming.... Clean and tidy rooms with some wonderfull views down to the coast. Well worth a stop off. PCB 👍🏻

After 7 months living in New Zealand, I can honestly say that I have not met kinder, more genuine people than Jen and Warren. From the very first moment, they treated us incredibly well always friendly, respectful, and willing to help with anything. They truly make you feel welcome. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Everything was in great condition, which made the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. The resort is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, surrounded by nature, with amazing views of the ocean and the mountains. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings. Although I didn’t play, the golf course looked very well maintained and the facilities were in excellent condition. A place I would highly recommend, not only because of the location, but especially because of the people who run it.

A Rare Gem in Kaikōura – Exceptional in Every Way Every now and then you come across one of those rare gems you always read about and hope you’ll get to experience yourself. This hotel, golf course and restaurant just outside Kaikōura is exactly that. In an industry where nothing sells better than genuine service, Jen and the team truly excel. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail set the tone from the moment you arrive. The golf course is an absolute delight — fun, well-maintained, and designed in a way that lets you use every club in your bag. Whether you’re a casual player or more serious about the game, it’s thoroughly enjoyable. The accommodations were impressively comfortable and updated, offering the perfect blend of relaxation and modern convenience. And then there’s the restaurant — a stunning surprise. The quality of the food easily rivals anything in the town centre, both in flavour and presentation. Only about a nine-minute drive from town, this property sits in a peaceful, beautiful part of Kaikōura that feels worlds away in the best possible sense. The short journey is absolutely worth it. Thank you to everyone for making this an exceptional visit for us.
