It was perfect. Patrick and his wife are very lovely people. There was a fire on the road north from Kaikōura and the road was closed, so we were kinda stuck (no alternative route was available). They helped us so much, called to the local enforcement get some information etc. It was really nice and helpful for us. The place is lovely, spacious and very clean (with perfect shower!). It has a private parking. The location is perfect, only short walk to the town centre. Also the view is unbeatable. The breakfast was very good. We will happily book this place again when back.

If you are anywhere near Kaikōura you must stop here. Stunning location and close to everything. Patrick and his wife are the perfect hosts and prepare a lovely morning breakfast accompanied by Patrick’s homemade bread and marmalade. If you need any information about the local area or ideas on what to do Patrick will be able to give you lots of helpful information. Beautiful room and en suite with a lovely deck to sit out on if you just want to chill for a few hours and watch the world go by.

I can’t say enough good about staying here. The garden is beautiful. The room is clean, they have an amazing system where you get complete privacy and have your own entry/exit and parking on site. The view is stunning from the room. Breakfast was amazing and the hosts are even better. We stayed one night but wish we’d stayed at least 2.
