Google· 2 months agoWonderful place to stay! The location is perfect. Right next to Wadazuka station and even walkable to Kamakura station. I stayed in a family room which had their own toilet. Showers are public. It has a nice Japanese local house style bath, and all the amenities are provided, including facial cleanser and hair conditioners. There is a lobby where we can eat our own food, with microwaves and hot-kettles. The interior decoration here is really beautiful and cozy. Rooms are quite roomy too. Bed and sheets are kept really clean and comfy. Short walk to the beach too. The most important part: the landlord, masa-san is really cool and caring man. Really liked him and I’m revisiting here 100 percent whenever I come to Kamakura.

Tripadvisor· 10 years agoWe liked the quiet neighborhood of this family style pension; the reception desk persons / owners were very friendly and they advised us on some place to visit in Kamakura. We stayed in the room 206 which was a twin bed type (so we had to bring them back together to have a larger bed). The rooms are freshly repainted with new air-conditioned system and most of them have a little balcony. There is no real breakfast as such but still you can get free coffee/tea in the morning with some fruits, so it's ok. The "plus" of this place is the location : it's not too fare from Kamakura station, you can walk or take the Enoshima Electric Railway Line and get of at Wadazuka Station. It's close from the beach front and the great Buddha (Kotokuin) too .... last but not least it's a really quiet neighborhood. Watch out : no Credit Card payment so bring some cash !

Google· 3 months agoIt is a very cute and small hotel. I really enjoyed my stay. The staff are kind and the hotel is very clean and quiet. It is very close to the beach and walkable to the train station. There are many stairs so I wouldn’t come with lots of luggage. You take off your shoes and put them in a shoe closet. When I return to Kamakura I will be using this hotel again.

Google· 6 months agoBooked via Trip.com, but the room we got looked very different from the listing photos. It was quite a shock as the room had only a tiny window, and there was even a side door (looked like a storage room) that wasn’t locked and had random items inside, which felt uncomfortable. The part-time receptionist was patient and explained that the photos may differ, and that we’d need to top up ¥8000 (~SGD65) to get the room shown online. We decided not to proceed, contacted Trip.com for a refund, and booked another hotel instead. For just about SGD50 more, we got a much better stay with both sea and Mt. Fuji views (see my 3rd photo). Also worth noting, the staircase is very steep, so getting luggage up to the 3rd floor was quite a struggle.

Google· 2 months agoThe retro atmosphere, the friendly service from the two staff members—everything was great. They were really trying hard to learn Japanese:) The room rates were reasonable, and I’d definitely like to stay there again the next time I visit Kamakura.

Google· a year agoWe stayed here 3 nights and loved it. This place is ideal walking distance to the train station and the beach. The accommodation is a good budget option and our host was super friendly and helpful. We would stay here again for sure!

Tripadvisor· 15 years agoThis pension is very conveniently located to Yuigahama beach, and that really was the best thing about it. My (Japanese) girlfriend and I were not informed of the check-out time when we checked in, and thus were slightly late leaving (about 15 mins), the owner turned off the hot water at 10am, mid-way through my shower, and refused to turn it back on when requested. He was stern, unfriendly, and condescending in every encounter we had with him, both on the telephone and in person. Clearly he is oblivious to 1) the fact that he works in the service industry, and 2) the vast array of competition in the area. We were very disappointed by the 'service' we received, and, next time we visit Kamakura, we'll be sure to check out one of his competitors instead.
