We chose the Share Hotel in Kanazawa because of its minimalistic, clean, beautiful architectural design and the good location to start exploring Kanazawa. It’s very quiet and we felt very comfortable. Anything you need for the night is provided: Yukata or Kimono, tooth brush etc. We had a room called „Moderate with Japanese style“. That is a twin Japanese-Western style room with 2 single floor beds and a low table set on raised tatami-floored area. Intentionally we went out for breakfast, lunch and dinner to try different things, but had some Matcha at the hotel. The service at the reception did great when we wanted to make a reservation at a restaurant nearby. We would definitely go there again.

The hotel makes a great first impression. The lobby is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and creates an atmosphere that promises much more than what our room actually deliver. Unfortunately, our room fall short. It was very small, dark, and have no windows, which makes them quite uncomfortable, especially for more than a one-night stay. On top of that, the air conditioning was not working properly, making the room even more uncomfortable. Another downside is the TV, which is very limited: no access to Netflix or any streaming platforms, just a few Japanese channels. On the positive side, the location is good, making it easy to get around Kanazawa. Overall, it’s a hotel with a beautiful lobby and solid location, but rooms that don’t live up to the expectations set by the common areas.

Nothing to complain about, decent size room and amenities. Good location.

Stayed 4 nights in April 2026. Excellent location, at walking distance from all major attractions of Kanazawa (the Castle, the Old City, the Old Market, the Samurai neighbourhood, the Art Museum. Also, there are many restaurants nearby. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive, and the rooms are large and well appointed. The only area where there is significant room for improvement is the breakfast where the food quality is pretty basic and the options alternatives are extremely limited. Actually we had only one time breakfast at the hotel, preferring to eat at other places in the city.

If you ever feel the need to sleep in an airplane with howling AC that's parked next to a highway look no further. The rooms are nice but don't expect quality sleep with the ambient noise.

Generally, we enjoyed our stay at The Share Hotels KUMU. The location is great, the design very modern and the staff friendly and helpful. There were however a few minor things that make this a 4/5 experience: there was very little space for luggage in our room, which was unfortunate. The WiFi was surprisingly slow. And we would have wished for more hooks for both towels and jackets.

My stay at KUMU Kanazawa was excellent. The service was outstanding from start to finish, with attentive and friendly staff who made everything easy and welcoming. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable, with beautifully designed spaces and a calm atmosphere that made it a perfect place to rest after exploring the city. Everything was well thought out, clean, and high quality. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kanazawa.

Beautifully designed hotel. Staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms were very comfortable. Clothes washing facilities. Tasty breakfast. Great gin and tonic at the bar with a groovy dj on sat night. Easy to walk to the art museum and samurai district and the fish market. Perfect place to stay in Kanazawa.
