I had a very pleasant stay at the Howard Johnson. The hotel occasionally provided complimentary fruit or small snacks, which was a thoughtful touch and made the stay feel more welcoming. The duty manager was especially attentive, warm and helpful, and really made an effort to ensure everything went smoothly. Overall, the service was excellent and the hospitality stood out. A very comfortable stay and a hotel I would happily return to.

I particularly like the tasteful architectural décor, as well as the food. If you are looking for a place close to the Kunming city government, various banks and shops, then this location is ideal. It can be too far from the city for tourists. The personal attention from the staff was really outstanding. There is a chic bar with pastries, it would have been nice to have an outdoor terrace to chill out in the evening, as plenty of space is given. We definitely want to come back for a 3rd time.

We made the decision to stay here because of its outstanding reviews, which are regarded as the top hotel in Kunming south. They were not wrong, we could not be happier. It is indeed a 5 star international rating. Our recommendation is to stop searching if you're staying in the area.

I stayed at Howard Johnson for a business trip. Comfortable room, nice breakfast, and friendly and helpful staff. We arrived a bit early so that our rooms were not available yet. However, the manager upgraded us to the suites to make sure we could get rooms and have our rest. Throughout our stay, the manager was also very approachable, which helped us in having a comfortable and convenient stay! Very close to this hotel, there is a park (Luolong park) with jogging track surrounding a small lake. Beautiful experience!

Our family group of 5 stayed 4 nights at this very comfortable & well appointed hotel. I endorse what others have said about food, service & friendliness. A particular kudo to Hero Liu - always friendly & helpful, & always with gifts for the 2 grandchildren in our party! I regret that the grandchildren have become addicted to a degree of luxury! Well done, Hero!

Always a pleasure to stay in this Hotel. Great situation, as 4 minutes walking from subway and commercial street, malls. Best value in south Kunming. Most of staff at reception speak English. I highly recommend it !

Really nice hotel, variety of food in lunch or dinner, located 10 minutes walk from the Exhibition Center. Large and convenient bed. However, the rooms which face the front of the hotel get extremely hot since they face south and extremely absorb the sun and heat. This would have been lovely if there was air conditioning, which is no existent. Only the fan is working. So, clearly avoid staying there during the day or during any day which is slightly pleasant outside or warmer.

I really enjoyed their food and services, people are really friendly in Howard Johnson Kunming, Front desk speak English very well, they made a snap check-in. Btw Kunming weather is so nice, there is lot parks all around hotel. I love running in those Parks in the morning, I feel refreshed!!!
