Start with the hotel's own spots: the food court has Bonanno's New York Pizzeria, Nathan's Famous Hotdogs, Tacos N 'Ritas, Johnny Rockets, and Auntie Anne's. For a fuller meal, the resort's restaurants include Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, Craftsteak, and Emeril's New Orleans Fish House. If you'd rather step out, the walk to The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, about 2.1 km away, offers dining options. Closer by, Greenberg's Deli is just a short walk from the hotel. Around the Strip, you'll find many casual and sit-down choices, from Steak 'n Shake to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., so you're set for any meal.
MGM Grand sits right on the Las Vegas Strip, with the Fountains of Bellagio a 15-minute walk and the High Roller 19 minutes away. The Strip itself is a 17-minute walk, and you can reach the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay in 23 minutes. The hotel is the southern terminus of the Las Vegas Monorail, with a station right here for easy trips up the Strip. Across the Tropicana bridges you'll find New York-New York and Excalibur, and The Park leading to T-Mobile Arena is just across the boulevard. For a quick bite, the hotel has several cafes, bars, and a food court on-site, and 7 Eleven is nearby for basics.
Harry Reid International Airport is right next door. Taxis and ride-hailing pick up at the main entrance porte cochere, and the trip takes about 10 to 15 minutes. You can also walk or take a short ride to the airport's monorail link, but the direct monorail stop is right on the property: MGM Grand Monorail Station, the southern terminus of the Las Vegas Monorail, sits inside the hotel near the casino. From the station, follow signs to the lobby or the District. If you are coming from downtown, the monorail runs from Sahara Las Vegas station down to MGM Grand. The hotel is at 3799 S Las Vegas Blvd on the corner of Tropicana, so any driver will know it.
Evenings around MGM Grand are lively. From the hotel you can walk to the Fountains of Bellagio in 15 minutes and the High Roller in 19. The hotel itself has KÀ by Cirque du Soleil and Jabbawockeez shows, plus a Lobby bar and snack bar for a relaxed pause. The Las Vegas Strip is a 17-minute walk and stays busy after dark, with its lights and street energy. Gondola Rides are 2.1 km away if you want to explore further. For a shorter outing, the Bellagio Conservatory is a 15-minute walk.
MGM Grand works well as a base, especially for the south Strip. Many key sights are within a short walk: Fountains of Bellagio and Bellagio Conservatory are 15 minutes away, the Strip itself 17 minutes, and High Roller 19 minutes. Shark Reef Aquarium is a 23-minute stroll. For farther places like Gondola Rides (2.1 km) or the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign (2.4 km), the Las Vegas Monorail at the hotel or a quick taxi or ride-hailing trip gets you there. AREA15, 3.4 km out, is an easy ride too. The monorail at MGM Grand opens up the rest of the Strip, and you can walk across the bridges to neighboring resorts in about 5–10 minutes.
