Our stay at Palazzo Alexander was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They didn’t just provide great service—they truly cared about us and wanted to make sure every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and impeccably clean. We especially appreciated the extra living area, which was perfect since our one-year-old grandson stayed with us for a few days. Having that additional space made our stay so much more comfortable. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. It felt so personal, with wonderful homemade touches and attentive service that made us look forward to starting each day there. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, elegant, and full of charm. Every member of the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and to make us feel at home. If you’re visiting Lucca, we wholeheartedly recommend Palazzo Alexander. It’s a special place with exceptional people, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. I wish I had taken more pictures but here is a picture of our balcony.

Palazzo Alexander Lucca. We are here right now- this hotel is just lovely. Within the medieval walls and in walking distance of everything Lucca has to offer. Our room is spacious and airy with air conditioning that works brilliantly. The bed is comfy as are the pillows with fresh sheets and pillowcases every day. Breakfast is great with a wide enough choice for everyone. Mario and his staff are so helpful with providing tips for good restaurants away from the tourist traps. It’s an absolute gem of a hotel and we’d really like to keep it as our secret but that wouldn’t be fair. We will definitely stay again x

Palazzo Alexander was, without question, my absolute favorite hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such genuine kindness and warmth. Out of every hotel, tour, and activity we experienced during our trip to Italy, the staff at Palazzo Alexander were the only ones who truly acknowledged our honeymoon and made us feel celebrated. They took the time to congratulate us, chat with us, and genuinely seemed interested in getting to know us. It never felt forced—it came from the heart. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. They were the friendliest people we encountered during our entire trip. They were incredibly helpful with recommendations and anything we needed, but more importantly, they made us feel like welcomed guests instead of just another reservation. When we checked out, they told us to come back and visit anytime—even if we weren't staying at the hotel. They said to stop by just to say hello, and that small gesture perfectly reflected the kind of people they are. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It has so much character, charm, and authentic Italian style. Our room was gorgeous, with unique details and décor that made it feel special and unlike any other place we stayed. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start each morning. If you're looking for a hotel that feels authentic, welcoming, and unforgettable, Palazzo Alexander is it. The incredible staff turned a wonderful hotel into one of the most memorable parts of our honeymoon, and we can't wait to return one day.

We have only positive things to say about this charming hotel on a quiet street close to everything we wanted to see and do in Lucca. The service was wonderful and everyone was so kind. Our check-in included a visit to the room with the receptionist to explain everything. Breakfast was delicious. Bed was firm and comfortable. Best shower in Europe we have experienced yet. Price was very fair for everything we experienced. Grazie mille Hotel Palazzo Alexander! We hope we can return one day.

A lovely location. One of the most welcoming hotels we have experienced. Such caring and helpful staff. Our lovely breakfast server, Roberto. What a wonderful sense of humour but also so helpful. A very fresh breakfast, terrific service and care. A beautiful and spacious room decorated in the style of the palazzo. Good WiFi. A comfortable bed. Will definitely be back. Nothing negative to say.

I stayed here with my girlfriend between the 26th Feb and the 1st of March and we had quite frankly an exceptional experience with this hotel. It is perfectly situated in the Walled City and everything is right at your doorstep, as well as being close enough to the city gates that it was very quick coming in and out of the town. The staff are extremely friendly, polite and helpful at all times of the day, and the room itself was incredibly comfortable with all the amenities one could need. We will certainly be revisiting this hotel and are very much looking forward to it!
