Great hotel, clean, tidy, quiet. Nice self serve breakfast in tranquil gardens. Staff very helpful, early flight so they arranged a take away breakfast. Taxi to airport €115 which took the stress out of walking back to train station.

Perfect Paradise in middle of Luca but very peaceful and quiet.|Serena and her Mother Antonella were such perfect hosts . So helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble for them. |This is our 3 rd visit , we are already planning our 4th. |Easily the best accommodation in Lucca.

We had a very great time 3 nights in May. This bed and breakfast is more like a small boutique hotel. It is run by around five woman who are doing a great job. They assist you in any kind of way whatever you need. The breakfast is brilliant. We were sitting in a small garden in the sun and having a fresh orange juice or a delicious prepared scrambled eggs with whatever we like inside. The rooms are very modern. They have brand new windows which cut out totally all noise. We had never been slept so quiet in a place directly downtown. Also the bathrooms are equipped all kind of needed material. We had a small kitchen and a mini bar With some drinks inside. The area is directly downtown. But once you are in, it is totally quiet. And you have a fantastic small garden. It is hard to find any places in Lucca which are not so old. Over here everything is new and very clean. And you can feel that there is a lot of love from older women who run this very nice bed-and-breakfast.

Lovely hotel in great central location which is quite close to amenities. Unfortunately there was building work going on next door which forced us to move rooms. |Rooms are clean and comfortable but with basic furnishings; no rugs or pictures anywhere which would hint that you were in Tuscany sadly.|Staff are fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Particular praise and thanks to Serena who really helped us with the relocation. |Lovely breakfast sadly spoilt by noisy building work from next door close to our breakfast area in the garden. |Quick tip - check with hotel that building work is finished and if not, avoid staying in Room 5 and 6, as they are adjacent to the refurbishment going on next door. Couldn’t relax in the lovely gardens due to the noise.

Luca is a typical Tuscan walled town with narrow streets and old buildings which if they are hotels, have obviously been converted to that use. Then you can't expect 4 or 5 stars to mean the same as it does in a modern hotel. Having said that Lucus offered clean bright rooms with no complaints and was run by a small staff of helpful ladies. Breakfast was in a pretty courtyard or garden Don't miss the nightly Opera night at the Church of Saint Giovanni.

The place itself is around a 20 minute walk from the station and around 8 minutes to the centre which is perfect and very do able. The check in was very smooth and quick and the lady at reception was lovely. She showed us to our room. Once we got there there’s amenities like towels and a kettle etc which is a nice touch alongside coffee and tea. The tv didn’t work and the room was a little dark , however the rooms itself was very modern and clean. If I could pick at a couple of things it would be there is air con however it’s not very powerful leaving the room quite warm and the fact there is absolutely nobody on reception before 3 or after 7 pm making things just a little difficult as you aren’t able to drop bags if you arrive early. However it’s a lovely friendly hotel in a gorgeous and would definitely stay again.

We took over the entirety of the hotel for five days for family and friends on the occasion of a wedding in Lucca. What a great formula! The rooms were impeccable, and the charming garden was a perfect meeting spot for us before heading out for sightseeing and wedding festivities. It truly felt like our private house in Lucca! Serena and Alexia made us feel absolutely at home; they knew every member of our party and they spared no effort to make our time there a success. I highly recommend this lovely hotel!

We booked a what we believed to be a better quality hotel....as the weekend was a bit special as we had tickets Ed Shearan, who was great by the way |The prices were massively hiked because of the 2 nights Shearan was performing so we paid approximately double the normal rate. Over 620 euro for two nights.....|We were allocated room 1, very nicely presented, clean and well maintained, a round room in a previously square room, rather clever and could have worked really well, but for some form over function mistakes.....|What we expected but didn't get for our money, were the following.... |No drawers or shelves to unpack, about 10 hangers, that's your lot, the rest of the 'wardrobe' is useless except for holding extra pillows and a safe. So our suitcases remained open and on show...very poor|No complimentary bottles of water..each small bottle cost 1.5 euro |No decent coffee, at this price we expected a pod machine, not instant coffee sachets!!! |Decent towels, yes they were big, but they were not soft or fluffy and very thin|Only one easy chair....but weirdly two bar stools at our instant coffee station...which hid the otherwise inaccessible mini bar|Annoyingly, not all main room lights are controlled from the bedside |The shower control is not thermostatic, so the temperature varied and needed adjustment during a shower|Anyone arriving at the hotel has to ring the door bell, the noisy bit of the bell is just that, very noisy, sounds like it's just by the door of room 1 and if you fancy a nap be prepared to be disturbed Lastly, don't be fooled by the title, Luxury bed and breakfast, breakfast is extra too!!!
