We had a great stay at this hotel, which combines the traditional and the modern. It's in a good location - not far from the train station and the city centre. The room was very comfortable and the staff were welcoming. The breakfast was excellent - loads of choice and great quality. Drinks are available from the machine too. The onsen was lovely - indoor and outdoor hot bath, indoor cold bath and the hottest sauna I've ever experienced. Free ice cream is a nice treat after finishing. No shoes inside, and traditional lounge clothes are supplied. This hotel was a perfect choice for us - great location, facilities and food

Excellent location, spotlessly clean, and great free perks! This hotel is just a short walk from Matsumoto Station. The entire hotel is carpeted with traditional Japanese tatami mats, and it is exceptionally clean. Upon check-in, all guests are asked to take off their shoes and keep them in the hotel lockers. The rooms are clean and a decent size. They provide Pola amenities (except body lotion) and free bottled mineral water daily. There is also a complimentary water dispenser right in front of the elevator. In the evening, they offer free ramen and hot tea, which is a wonderful touch. Overall, an amazing stay—convenient, clean, and highly comfortable!

Great facilities, nice room and good services from front desk staff. Restaurant serves excellent breakfast buffet, provides noodle from 9:30 pm to 11 pm. Hot spring bath facilities are great. Provide 4 types of ice cream/popsicle at level 10. It is very popular with the local tourist during weekends so room rates are high during weekends. Avoid weekends booking if you can.

We have stayed at a number of hotels across Japan and this has been one of our favourites. From the moment we first stepped in, there was a sense of calm and tranquility. We enjoyed the hotel onsen, the Japanese breakfast buffet, and complimentary soba noodles late evening. The hotel is well appointed and the staff take great pride and care in making guests comfortable. Located within walking distance from the train station, with also parking available (for a daily fee). Overall, highly recommend!

I unfortunately did not take many pictures of this marvellous place. But i loved the ryokan styled rooms, onsen and full amenities post-shower. A few special features are - free soba supper from 9pm-11pm daily - full soap/ shampoo/ conditioner/ vanity set up at onsen area - free yakult/ icecream post-onsen (depending on what time you go) The con is (if i rlllllly have to nic pick), while it is quiet and i really like the serenity, it’s a little out of the way from the main area. Otherwise, this is a really good place to stop pre/post hike around the area, such as kamikochi or the nakasendo trail.

This hotel is part of the Dormy Inn but higher more luxurious category . The hotel is spotlessly clean - guests leave their shoes in the lockers by the door and issued room slippers . All the usual amenities we are used to at Dormy Inns are here - from the communal onsens (male and female separated), the free ramen and welcome drink . Parking is available on site . It was raining heavily over our one day stay and quite cold so the ramen and Onsen were exactly what we need .

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Japan! The room wasn’t too small, there was enough space to open my suitcase comfortably. It’s only about a 500-meter walk from Matsumoto Station. The hotel is beautifully designed, with excellent service. There’s a free drink bar and even free soba served at certain times. The onsen area is well-organized with separate sections for men and women, and there’s also an outdoor bath — soaking there in cool weather was absolutely amazing! After the bath, they even provide free ice cream and Yakult drinks. There’s also a free laundry room which is super convenient for travelers. Everything about this hotel made my stay so enjoyable . I’ll definitely come back if I get the chance. Absolutely loved it! 💖

We were told from friends who previously traveled to Matsumoto that the breakfast buffet at the Onyado Nono was outstanding! So when we decided to visit Matsumoto, we decided to book our stay here along with the added breakfast. In terms of lodging, this was one of the nicest places we stayed at during our trip. The hotel is shoe free, so upon entering, shoes are removed and stored in lockers. They were gracious enough to hold our luggage upon arrival since we got there prior to check-in. They also held our luggage after checking out. The room was clean and quaint. The floors were tatami mats and robes and slippers were provided. Our only hiccup was we had used a third party booking site and was told a double room could accommodate 3 people, it could not, and the hotel was booked. Just keep this in mind when using 3 party sites and verify bed space for the number of guests before reserving. There are laundry machines in 2 separate locations (washing machines were free, dryers were a nominal cost). One is reserved for women only (located in the women’s locker room). Guests can monitor the status of their laundry as well as the occupancy from the comforts of their room via the TV. You can also check to see if the restaurant and onsen are crowded or not crowded (doesn’t give you a count). The breakfast buffet was incredible. We had 3 breakfast meals there and we loved the last one as much as we did the first. The variety of foods, mostly Japanese, but had some western options. It was just a great way energize us for the day. Separately, at 9pm, there is service of soy sauce ramen in the restaurant area for those who want evening nosh (delicious!).
