I have stayed here a few times before , but this time was extremely disappointed. I got to the hotel after 1pm and was told my room was not ready and that I would get a phone call when it was ready. 4:30 pm comes and still no phone call. I go back to the hotel, explained that I was waiting for a phone call and the reception has just looked at me blankly. I get up to the room.The room was spacious enough , but mould in the shower and the teaspoon in the coffee cup was dirty. There was also non stop train noise as my room faced opposite the tracks which made it difficult to sleep. After a while in the room, the room felt cold.I checked at the thermostat and it didn't seem to be heating so I called reception and a maintenance person was sent up. They checked over the heater and said yes, it's working fine. 6 hours later, the room was still freezing, and the temperature had not moved. I had to request blankets. There was no apology, there was no offer to move rooms and there was no offer of any financial compensation. I will not be staying here again.

I recognise I was paying premium as the NFL was in town, but after paying more than $500 a night for a twin share room I was very surprised how tiny the room was. It was difficult to walk around the beds. When sitting on the toilet your knees are in the shower. |We ordered a bottle of bubbly from room service which came without glasses. The internal phone did not work so we rang reception via our own phones to ask for glasses. |10 minutes later I went to reception to ask for them to be told they were on their way up. |To top it all off the breakfast was average this morning. However, the breakfast staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly.

Still a pleasant stay!We are not sure whether Rendezvous values its repeat guests, as the reception staff never recognised or greeted us on any of our return visits. We tried not to let it bother us, but it is still difficult to get used to, especially as we work in the hotel industry and understand the importance of recognising returning guests.This was somewhat disappointing, particularly considering that Rendezvous is a long-established and well-known brand.We were assigned a room with a different layout this time, on the opposite side of the lift. Breakfast was still decent as usual.See you again on our next visit.

Location on Flinders St. is superb and within easy walking distance to museums, restaurants and other Melbourne attractions. The public area of the hotel are lovely. It seems they cater to groups. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. My room on the 7rh floor had la ovely river view. The bathroom was exceptionally small. As in many hotels, your room key has to go into a slot to get power in the room, and that's okay. Most annoying however, is that even with the key in the slot, when the lights in the room are turned off for the night, the phone charger also goes off. In other words, you either sleep with the lights on or you can't charge your phone overnight. In this day and age, that is just unbelievable.

Staff are very friendly and Tony was very helpful. Room was adequate however the chairs were covered in stains. They were down an elevator so at times that was a problem. Breakfast had many choices and a good start to the day. So would I stay here

Centrally located hotel on main road near train station and easy walk to main shopping and sightseeing areas. Beautiful heritage building with gorgeous windows in the Miss Ava bar area. Rooms modern and clean. Was quiet also. Only two lifts so can be a little wait time on those at peak times.

I've stayed here twice now and both times have been just what I need. The single room can be a little squishy but when it's only 1 or 2 people staying there, it does the job. I booked via booking.com and ensured to have the breakfast included with my stay as they offer a buffet breakfast for guests which always has a great selection of hot and cold food options, pastries, and even juice. Their buffet breakfast coffee machine I don't think makes a great coffee, but everything else is wonderful. It's in a great location on Flinders Street in the Melbourne CBD, with easy to get to public transport options in close walking distance, making this an excellent option for visitors to Melbourne.

My daughter and I have just had a staycation at the Rendezvous hotel and we found it very much to our liking! The building itself is impressive. The staff lovely and welcoming. The room was great, beds comfortable and room clean. Definitely recommend A++++++
