The hotel itself has some of the best dining nearby. Flame Tree Restaurant & Bar serves a mix of international and Pan-African dishes, from buffet breakfasts to à la carte lunches and dinners. The Deck Pool Bar & Lounge is a relaxed open-air spot by the pool for snacks, cocktails, and light meals. A snack bar is also on site for a quick bite between outings.
The hotel sits at the junction of Valley Road and Kenyatta Avenue, in the leafy Milimani area, right on the edge of Nairobi's Central Business District. You're surrounded by everyday conveniences like Haltons Pharmacy, The Village Market, and Masari Road Council Kiosks, plus an ATM. The peaceful hotel gardens give a calm feel, and the neighborhood is walkable: the Nairobi Arboretum is a 21-minute walk, the National Museum of Kenya is 23 minutes away, and Museum Hill is 24 minutes. Farther out, Riverside Park is 2.4 km, with Karura Forest-Sigiria at 5.8 km. For getting around, taxis and ride-hailing are easy to find in this area.
From Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the hotel is about 18 km away; take a taxi or pre-booked transfer. Wilson Airport is only 5.7 km from the hotel, so it is quicker if you fly into that one. Nairobi Railway Station is about 3 km from the hotel, and Makadara Railway Station is also nearby; a taxi or ride-hailing service covers the short ride. The hotel is at the junction of Valley Road and Kenyatta Avenue.
For the evening, the hotel's own Flame Tree Restaurant & Bar and The Deck Pool Bar & Lounge offer drinks and light bites in a relaxed garden setting. The Nairobi Arboretum is a 21-minute walk away, and the National Museum of Kenya is a 23-minute walk, both good for an evening stroll. The city centre is about 0.5 km from the hotel, so further dining and nightlife options are a short taxi or ride-hailing trip away. A taxi from the hotel can take you anywhere you'd like to go.
Sarova Panafric is well placed for exploring Nairobi. You can walk to the Nairobi Arboretum in 21 minutes, the National Museum of Kenya in 23 minutes, and Museum Hill in 24 minutes, all within an easy stroll. For wider city exploration, Riverside Park is 2.4 km away, and Karura Forest's Sigiria entrance is 5.8 km, so a taxi or ride-hailing service makes those a quick trip.
