Loved my stay here. Place was clean and tidy. Easy to find. Location is central to everything. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was simple and delicious. You can buy a lock and rent a towel there. Recommend staying here

Restrictive daytime lockout policies. Shortened my stay. Pros: The breakfast staff is pleasant. The property features an elevator and functional air conditioning. Cons: The operational policies at this property contradict the official booking text. The booking confirmation states only that guests must vacate rooms for daily housekeeping. In practice, management enforces a mandatory afternoon building lockout. Management states guests may use the common areas during these hours. However, the owner stated at check-in that there were approximately 50 guests on site, while the indoor common space consists of one couch and a dining room seating 15 people. This capacity mismatch leaves inadequate space for the guest volume during the lockout hours. While management suggested taking day trips or sitting in the dining room, the capacity constraints made remaining inside physically unrealistic. This policy effectively forces guests into prolonged sun exposure during dangerous summer heatwaves, presenting a distinct health and safety risk. Furthermore, a physical notice on the room lockers enforces a different hourly timeframe for the lockout than what is listed online. Because of this forced daytime lockout, guests must navigate the surrounding Piazza Garibaldi area during these hours. I experienced alot of persisitent unwanted attention and catcalling on multiple occasions in this specific area, including once directly in front of and in plain view of public officials. While staff reportedly reassure concerned travelers about the neighborhood, the mandatory lockout policy forces guests outside into the area without a functional indoor alternative on-site. The enforcement of house rules inside is rigid. After extending my stay at management's proposal, a staff member questioned my daily itinerary, explicitly stating management had notified them of my stay details. Later, while I was cooking in the kitchen, a management member entered from another room without greeting, called me by name to state she was closing the door, and shut it. Immediately after, a second staff member turned off the stove's ventilation fan while the kitchen still required active ventilation after cooking. Additionally, there is early morning pressure regarding room vacancy. Cleaning staff are routinely staging in the hallways by 10:00 AM, which prompted another guest to ask me if we were required to leave the premises at that time. On my first morning, management entered the room at 10:00 AM to collect trash. When I asked to clarify the room rules previously provided by the owner, they redirected the conversation to question my daily schedule. This environment creates an unspoken expectation to vacate early, enforcing house rules through subtle pressure rather than transparent policies. Refrigerator storage is also limited to one beverage per person, and bunk beds lack privacy curtains. Ultimately, management manually altered the reservation status after checkout, preventing standard feedback channels. Prospective travelers should carefully evaluate these neighborhood safety conditions, operational practices, and house rules before booking.

Without a doubt, Mancini Hostel is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. It is incredibly clean, spacious, modern, and beautifully renovated. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious and much better than you would expect from a hostel. What truly makes this place special, though, is the people. Hostel Mancini is a family-run hostel, and every single member of the team is an absolute gem. They are always willing to help with anything, answer your questions about the city, and give you the best recommendations on what to see, do, and experience in Naples. "Thank you" doesn't feel like enough for these wonderful people. They made me feel like I was part of their family. It may sound like an exaggeration, but one of the main reasons I'm already thinking about coming back to Naples is this hostel. If you're looking for a place that feels like home while exploring Naples, I honestly recommend Hostel Mancini.

Has to be the most strict hostel I’ve ever stayed in, to the point of being quite annoyed. They close completely from 10:30-14:30 for their “cleaning hours” which is ridiculous. How are you going to tell paying customers that they can’t be in their own room for four hours of the day? They also watch you like hawks here, I felt like everything I did was being scrutinized and commented on. Just annoying and invasive. The neighborhood is also sketchy and dirty. The one plus is the clean room and convenient location in relation to the train station. From the moment we got here we knew something was off, and every guest we talked to here was a bit annoyed at the staff’s very strict rules and regulations. For some people it’s probably perfect, but if you’re a backpacker who is used to hostels with lax rules, I would recommend staying anywhere else.

Had a very pleasant time here.|The staff is so friendly and helpfull.|Did not know that breakfast was included in booking price so got very happy about that. Alfredo from the staff was so kind.|Deffo going back here when i visit Neaples again.

I had a great stay at this hostel. The place is very clean and well-maintained, which made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. I also felt safe at all times thanks to the secure environment. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available when needed. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a pleasant and reliable place to stay.

Very disappointing experience — I would not recommend this hostel I strongly recommend thinking twice before booking this hostel, especially if you are a woman travelling alone. The room itself was probably the only positive part of my stay. It was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. However, there was no wardrobe, only a locker without a key, which was very inconvenient for keeping personal belongings. The breakfast was extremely basic and, despite being included, was nothing special. The staff experience was particularly disappointing. One older gentleman working at reception in the morning was slow but polite and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, another male staff member was extremely rude. After arriving exhausted from a long journey, I wanted to sit on a sofa in the common area for just two hours before check-in. Instead, I was rudely told to leave and wait outside. I found this completely unacceptable. I have stayed in hostels in many different countries, and I have never been treated this way. The location was the biggest problem. I personally did not feel safe in the surrounding area, especially as a woman travelling alone. There were many homeless people around, and on several occasions I felt that men were following me or attempting to enter the courtyard behind me. Because of this, I felt uncomfortable returning to the hostel alone in the evening and tried to be back around 7–8 PM. The building itself also felt very uncomfortable. Reception is located on an upper floor, while other people live in the same building, and access to some floors is restricted. The overall atmosphere felt more like a highly controlled facility than a welcoming hostel. Unfortunately, the negative aspects of this stay completely outweighed the positive ones. I would not recommend this hostel and would not stay here again. If you are a solo female traveller, I strongly suggest considering the location and reading recent reviews very carefully before booking.

As a solo female traveler, I was honestly a little scared when I checked in at night, but the staff immediately made me feel comfortable and safe. Everyone was so sweet, welcoming, and helpful. The room was clean, I loved the balcony, and the location is perfect — very close to the train station, the center, and the old town. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hostel!
