Excellent hotel with amazing rooftop pool overlooking the sea. I want to give a special mention to Pablo on reception who noticed when scanning my passport that I was celebrating a special birthday and organising to have a bottle of champagne delivered to the room. |We paid extra for sea view room but I don't think it's necessary as you spend all the time at the rooftop pool or beach right in front of hotel. The only downside was some of the staff in the beach restaurant not very efficient, don't be in a rush if getting something to eat. A great trip, highly recommend

Great 4 star hotel, not in the middle of things in Nerja but actually that's why it worked, a little quieter at from the full on Costa buzz. Our room had a sea view balcony which is worth paying a little extra for. Really well presented. Rooftop bar and infinity pool in building 2 was great, easy to access and very relaxing. Restaurant with sea view does a great tuna sandwich and cheesecake, service overall excellent. Will certainly look to visit again

We’d happily return to the Perla Marina. Overall, it’s a lovely, spotlessly clean hotel in a great location, with just one part that really lets it down. Location The hotel is around a 10-minute stroll from the Balcón de Europa, and there are plenty of places to eat and drink close by. There are also two supermarkets nearby, which is handy. The hotel The Perla Marina is made up of two buildings on opposite sides of the road. The rooftop pool and breakfast restaurant are in one building, while the reception and what we’d call the main hotel are in the other, overlooking the sea. Everywhere was spotlessly clean – our room, the communal areas and both pool areas. We’d definitely recommend booking a sea-view room if you can. The view is well worth it. Rooms Our room had a fridge, with some complimentary water waiting for us when we arrived. Toiletries are very basic – essentially one bottle of general body/hair wash – so we’d suggest taking your own shampoo, conditioner etc. That said, with two supermarkets nearby, it’s easy enough to pick up anything you’ve forgotten. Pools The rooftop pool is lovely – modern, clean and really nicely done. It does get busy, though, and the pool itself is insanely cold! The pool in the main building overlooks the sea and was noticeably quieter. We never struggled to get a sun lounger here at all, so this ended up being our preferred pool. Breakfast Breakfast was fine – nothing particularly special, but perfectly adequate with what we needed to start the day. Restaurant Rocomar Unfortunately, Restaurant Rocomar completely lets the hotel down. The staff were rude and grumpy, service was poor, and the drinks were overpriced – and that’s if you could actually manage to get someone’s attention to order one! We’d suggest giving it a swerve. There is so much choice for food and drinks within a short stroll of the hotel that there really is no need to use it. Overall We’d happily stay at the Perla Marina again. It’s clean, well located, has lovely pool areas and we really enjoyed the sea-view room. We’d definitely return – we’d just avoid Restaurant Rocomar next time.I can also make it slightly punchier and more TripAdvisor-style if that’s where you’re planning to post it.

We stayed for a week at Hotel Perla Marina and it was absolutely amazing. The views and hotel location is unbeatable, but the best about this hotel was the staff. Every single staff member was phenomenal. The front desk staff, restaurant staff, and cleaning staff were amazing. We needed help finding sworn translators with very urgent matters, a foot injury needing minor medical care, and help booking a taxi. They handled everything for us. Everything was exceptionally clean as well. Rooms were well insulated and couldn’t hear any of our neighbors at all. I will absolutely be coming back, this was the best stay we have ever had in Nerja. Amazing all around. 10/10 recommend

Quite nice hotel.. sea facing with wonderful views and peaceful.. breakfast was so good! there is a sunset view point nearby which is also great for sunrise! Also you can see the point where river Chillar meet the ocean and a very long walking path along the way which has gardens side by! Nerja itself is so beautiful ❤️

A very nice beachfront hotel with two buildings, offering underground parking and a ground-level restaurant. Breakfasts are good, service good as well. In the room we had fridge, safe, kettle. Huge bathroom which does make sense for beach hotel. It also has 2 pools - one per each building. For the beach I'd recommend a beach shoes because of a stones nearby and in the water. Walking distance to the city center. Plenty of other restaurants and bars around.

This review is for the annex hotel Perla Marina with the rooftop pool. The hotel is spilt into two buildings across the road from one another, plus there are apartments too. I believe this part of the hotel has been renovated. The hotel is beachfront. There is free road parking all around the hotel if you can get it! Alternatively there's an underground carpark directly under the hotel at €15 a day. Our room was located to the side of the hotel overlooking the neighbouring hotels pool and was quiet no road noise. We had a double room which has two beds pushed together, a sofabed, two bedside tables, fitted wardrobe with drawers and a dressing table come tea, coffee making area but no mirror over the dresser! There is a full length mirror though. The bathroom has a mirror above the sink with a makeup mirror. The bathroom is a good size with a shower big enough for two. Breakfast is good with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, beans, hash browns, pastries,cake, hams, cheese and a selection of breads. Coffee, water and juices. There are two pools, one is on the roof with pool bar which was our favourite, the views are beautiful! Nerja on the whole is quiet I wouldn't recommend it for young families needing constant entertainment. It's a layed back and relaxing experience.

My partner & I just returned from nerja where we stayed at the Hotel Perla Marina. The positives were the location,very good just outside of the main town centre but no more than a 5 min walk and beach is right next to where we were staying. Room was a good size with balcony,have to mention the power shower-amazing!|It was clean and had all we needed in there. Our cleaner was great, anything we asked her she was happy to do. We were B& B and breakfast was good not great. However when we first arrived tired, hot and thirsty I went into the reception greeted with no smiles and told my name wasn't on their system,I showed them my paperwork I had as proof and told me to go to the Apartments next door which I did only to be told that I was in the wrong place and need to go back to hotel reception which was where i came from which I did.Same woman then found my details, no apology was given for her mistake.So good value for money overall but the Reception let's the hotel down in my opinion. |Dan & Lesley
