Tripadvisor· a month agoMy wife and I recently returned from a trip to New Orleans staying at the Waldorf thru VIP tours. It was wonderful. The location is ideal and the hotel is beautiful. I was a little skeptical as we have never booked thru VIP and the incentives were great ($50daily bar/food credit, one room upgrade and half price on parking). The staff at the hotel was very helpful, courteous and professional. The location is great - close to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter as well as the WW2 museum. The Monday night fried chicken was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely use VIP again. Thank you

Google· 3 weeks agoI LOVE this place! Jasmine and Travis MADE our anniversary trip to NOLA this year! This is such a great, clean hotel with friendly staff in a great location. Jasmine emailed ahead of time to get details and make sure our stay was amazing. She knew it was our anniversary trip so she had a bottle of bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room the first night. Travis got us an upgrade to a king suite (Hilton Gold members and booked a few of the nights with our Amex platinum card) and it was awesome!! We used credits to have breakfast in-room every morning - wheeled in on a white linen cart by friendly staff. Doormen were great too. The Sazerac Bar in the lobby had such a great vibe. And being on Canal Street, the streetcar was so close. Right on the corner of the French Quarter so it was a convenient location, very walkable, and Ubers to the other districts were not expensive. It was hot when we went to the rooftop pool and bar came in clutch. You just show up and the super nice guy sets up a chair for you with a towel and the bar staff come to see what you want to drink. The only complaint I have was the bed and bedding were so comfortable that we had no choice but to sleep in and miss a little tourist time. ;-) Seriously, I cannot thank Jasmine and Travis enough for knocking this trip out of the park for us. I want to go back to New Orleans every year and this hotel will always be my first choice.

Google· 2 weeks agoMy husband and I were visiting from Arkansas this past week and had such a great stay at The Roosevelt! When we checked in, Beth B. at the front desk was so sweet and took the time to tell us about the hotel’s history and show us around the lobby and the famous clock. It was such a nice touch, and you don’t come across that kind of hospitality very often anymore! We also loved the Fountain Lounge and rooftop pool, and the beignets were outstanding. We had a wonderful experience overall and would definitely recommend The Roosevelt to anyone visiting New Orleans. 10/10!

Google· 2 weeks agoThe hotel was top-notch! We have stayed at other beautiful hotels in Nola but this was perfect! My main review is about the Waldorf-Astoria Spa! I had the best experience here this morning. The staff was very welcoming and educated on their services. Patty serviced me with a deep-tissue massage and scalp treatment. I have to say it was the best massage I have ever had!! She was awesome!! Give her a 10+++ for her talent.

Google· 2 months agoThe Waldorf Astoria Roosevelt hotel is just magical. Once you enter the lobby, its beauty reveals itself in the architecture and decor reminiscent of a glorious heyday and the multiple glowing chandeliers that line up the length of the lobby dazzle as you approach the reception desk. The staff and customer service is out of this world. Sheila assisted us with such a warm welcome. She was helpful and lovely. We stayed for 4 days in a king suite that was exceptionally well kept and clean. Not long after we settled into our suite, room service appeared which we had not ordered. It turned out the staff had heard there was someone celebrating a birthday (me) and they generously brought us a tray of birthday desserts, a basket of snacks, and large bottles of sparkling and still water. Such a great surprise! It was a thoughtful and welcomed touch. Our room was turned down in the evening with the expected chocolates on the nightstand, but also comfy slippers set on each side of the bed, fluffy robes set out, more water bottles left on the table and they even filled up our ice bucket. These small touches made our stay that more special. I can't say enough about the staff or the hotel itself and it will be my only destination on my next trip to NOLA. Shout out to Taylor at the pool bar for her assistance on where to eat near the swamp tour we booked and John who happily assists every guest at the front entrance door. Your staff is outstanding. Kudos to you, Roosevelt hotel. You outdid yourself and we are here for it!! Thanks again for making our stay the best ever!

Google· 2 weeks agoSpent 4 glorious nights at the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. This iconic gem is situated 1 block from the uptown street car and a 15 minute walk to the river. The French Quarter is just across Canal Street from the hotel. The service and amenities were top notch! Sleep quality was 10+ - comfy beds and pillows. The pool was a perfect place to relax in the afternoon. If you have packages sent to the hotel, be prepared to pay a hefty handling fee.

This is a gorgeous property with a sense of grandeur and old-world elegance that makes it stand out from your typical hotel stay. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. There’s something special about staying somewhere with such a rich history, especially when the property itself becomes part of the travel experience. My only real observation was the room size. The room was quite small, but I suppose you get what you pay for, particularly when choosing a historic luxury property in a prime location. Verdict The Roosevelt is worth considering if you appreciate historic hotels, elegant surroundings, and a property with character. While the room size wasn’t ideal, the hotel’s beauty, history, and welcoming staff made the stay worthwhile.
