Casa d’Óbidos Turismo de Habitação is a beautiful antique-style country house, perfect if you want to stay away from the noise of the city and enjoy a peaceful, authentic atmosphere. You wake up to birds singing, the rooms are nice and full of character, and the whole property truly feels like a historic house from the 1800s. Do not expect a modern resort-style hotel — this is part of its charm. It is cozy, traditional, and full of history. The breakfast was delicious, and the overall experience was very relaxing and memorable. A wonderful place to enjoy the countryside and the charm of Óbidos.

We had a short but lovely stay at Casa d’Obidos, the decoration was quaint and accurately reminiscent of the intended time period and style of a lordship manor. Our bedroom was pitch black and completely silent during the whole night, which was perfect for a restful sleep. Amazing breakfast prepared by Marta. Did not use the pool because it is winter but plan on coming back when it’s suitable to do so.

It’s really fun being in this pretty old house, relaxing in the billiards room. Like traveling in Europe years ago. So very peaceful and quiet, nothing but bird song. Drive or get a taxi/Uber up to enchanting walled city but it’s close. A great bargain.

Beautiful house with lots of charm and character, nicely renovated/maintained. The room we stayed in was quite spacious and came with a bathtub in the WC, which was welcome after a long drive. The only thing is, it’s an old house so noise will travel from room to room, or from the hallway. But, again, to be expected! |The pool was great, too; the perfect size for some lazy laps to cool off in the summer heat. |For breakfast, you’ll have to share the dining table with the other guests but I personally enjoyed the experience. The spread was pretty impressive and everything tasty. Coffee and orange juice were both excellent :) The lady who was helping in the kitchen and the breakfast service was such a kind soul. |Overall, great value for cost. Hope to return one day.

Loved staying at the Casa. It is very quiet, relaxing and beautiful property. The gardens and the pool are excellent. Yet, you are close to the center within 15 minutes of walk. the breakfast was really good and a nice way to interact with other guests. I wish there was a kettle in the room. And the bathroom had a musty smell. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

A unique experience of staying in a 19th-century manor house. The rooms are very spacious and the kitchen is fully equipped. There is parking and a lovely view of Obidos Castle, which is just a 5-minute drive away.

What a fabulous place! We felt like we were staying in a Downton Abbey summer manor! Everything here is beautiful, the breakfast was elegant and delicious, the nighttime’s silent, just the wind whispering in the trees. I wish we could have stayed longer. When looking to book a place to stay at Obidos I originally thought we’d want to stay in the town itself, but I’m so glad we decided to stay here. It’s super easy parking right at the front, and so much room for relaxing, wandering and swimming in the pool, it feels like you’re at a spa…and then you can drive or walk (5 min) to the beautiful village of Óbidos. Just perfect, especially if you have a car. Highly recommend!
