Such an incredible hotel! The staff was more than welcoming and so sweet. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was big as well. Views from the private balcony also were a nice touch. I highly recommend this hotel and the netted off beach was perfect for swimming without any worries. I checked out other various beaches on the island and can say this one is by far the best. Will be back!!

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in a long time. Had a beautiful Mediterranean feel to it, the service was unbelievable. The breakfast buffet was just amazing and beautifully situated by the ocean.The room was so well appointed. I will definitely be back

3 star facilities at best. Nothing luxurious at all. Disappointed for a Japanese hotel to be so poor. Wish we had paid more to stay elsewhere. Appears to be no investment in the hotel for many years/decades. Some things that really let it down:|- extremely hard beds |-1970’s bathroom|- no porter service for luggage - you take a trolley yourself|-no bar open after 6pm|- breakfast queues so bad you ‘take a ticket’|- dirty stained carpets Positively the staff are very friendly & do their best, and some speak English, but mainly cater to Japanese tourists. The beach is gorgeous but low tide = no swimming (rocks) and jellyfish nets. There’s also real penny pinching mantra here:|- supermarket style shampoo etc|- toilet roll not replaced unless completely used (with a sign to say that). One bath towel each|- pay extra for mango or passion fruit at breakfast|- pillows have plastic beads in them (really weird and uncomfortable)|- they offer you ¥1000 to skip housekeeping|- aircon seems to go off overnight |The breakfast buffet is not great choice wise, but the Teppnayaki was excellent (expensive). We left early as we were so disappointed with the quality of the hotel and particularly the hard beds. |Hotel owners need to invest and remove the cost cutting policies - your staff will only carry you so far. |At best a 3 star hotel by Western standards.

this hotel does not meet the European or international five-star standard you may expect. Unfortunately, the high Booking.com rating did not reflect our experience. We paid around CHF 1,100 for five nights and were surprised by how dated the hotel felt. The rooms and hallways need renovation, the carpets were stained, and our bathroom had a strong moldy smell. The shutters also did not block the early morning light properly. The dining options were limited, with the Teppanyaki restaurant closed during our stay. Breakfast was acceptable but limited, and despite booking it in advance, we had to wait 10–20 minutes for a table every morning. There was also no proper hotel bar, and the poolside outlet accepted cash only. Since there was no nearby ATM, we could not order anything there. On the positive side, the sea and pool area were beautiful and well maintained. Renting e-bikes and playing tennis were enjoyable, and the lunch buffet was good and reasonably priced. Overall, we enjoyed some aspects of our stay, but the hotel did not meet the five-star standard we expected based on its price and rating.

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of May in this lovely hotel and highly recommend it! Our room was huge (if a bit dated) and our ocean view was one of the best we have ever had. All the staff we interacted with spoke English very well and were a pleasure to deal with. We didn't rent a car so booked the breakfast and it was excellent with lots of Japanese and Western options to choose from. We loved the Japanese restaurant dinner experience at the hotel but also walked and took taxis to other restaurants in the area. (Walking can be harder than expected at 38 degrees celcius with high humidity!) We used the limousine bus service from and to the airport and it was great. The beach area with its umbrellas and lounge chairs, jellyfish netting and excellent sand was the star of the show for us. Great place to unwind and relax that I would love to re-visit in the future. Thanks to all the staff who made our visit so memorable!

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. It is difficult for me to understand how this hotel can be considered a 5-star property. The hotel feels very dated, with old carpets, noticeable smells in some hallways, and visible wear and dark staining on parts of the exterior. The ocean view was beautiful, but the room cleaning was below expectations. The bed was made and the trash was removed, but otherwise the room was not cleaned very thoroughly. The shutters also did not block out the light properly, so the room became bright very early in the morning. Breakfast was also poorly organized, with a ticket system and waiting times for a table. I would genuinely be interested to know who awarded this hotel five stars, because based on our experience, the standard was far from what we would expect from a 5-star property Overall, the hotel has a nice location and view, but for the price, the condition and service were disappointing and did not match our expectations of a 5-star hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Nikko Alivila. The staff were incredibly kind, caring, and accommodating during a difficult moment of our trip, and their hospitality truly made a difference for us. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and in an amazing location by the beach. We really appreciated the warm atmosphere and thoughtful service throughout our stay. Thank you again — we would gladly come back.

We stayed at Hotel Nikko Alivila Okinawa and had a mixed experience. Although we booked a premium ocean view room, we were initially assigned a room in an older, unrenovated wing. The room had a noticeable musty smell, visible stains on the carpet, dust, and clear signs of mold in the bathroom. This not only fell below expectations for the price range, but also raises hygiene and potential health concerns. In our view, a room in this condition should not be assigned to guests, and we recommend checking the room carefully upon arrival. After one night, we requested a room change. While cleaning was first offered, the staff ultimately provided us with a different room that matched the standard we had booked, which we appreciated. The beach is beautiful and well maintained, but parts of the hotel feel dated and in need of renovation. Food quality was average and relatively expensive compared to other options on the island. The hotel is clearly geared toward families, and less suited for couples or friends seeking a more modern atmosphere. Overall, the stay did not fully meet our expectations, and we would likely choose a different hotel next time.
