Google· 2 months agoWe arrived late Saturday night after having a horrible check-in experience at the Hilton, and honestly, we thought our entire trip was ruined. Thankfully, Wyndham Grand took us in last minute, and from the moment we arrived, the experience completely changed. We were greeted by Bebe at the front desk, who was incredibly kind and welcoming, and Caesar, the bartender, who went above and beyond by making sure we had something to eat even though the bar was getting ready to close. That first night really made a difference after the experience we had just come from. Since then, we decided to upgrade our room, and we’ve continued to be met with kindness and helpfulness from most of the staff. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and make the resort a great place to relax. There was some construction and renovation happening during our stay, which was a little disappointing, but we didn’t let it take away from our vacation. We also tried the seafood restaurant after waiting a few days since it’s closed Sunday through Tuesday. Our waitress, Jill, was very nice, although unfortunately the food came out lukewarm and the hostess took quite a while to seat us. On the other hand, we really enjoyed the sushi bar, and the gentleman working there was fantastic — unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name. Overall, my wife and I are very happy with our stay. After such a rough start to our trip, Wyndham Grand really turned things around for us. The staff, beautiful property, and overall experience made us feel welcomed, and we would definitely come back again!

Google· a month agoA resort is measured by how it responds when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, Bonnet Creek failed that test. I came to Bonnet Creek for a convention and, before the incident, was enjoying my stay. Around 9:00 p.m., while I was taking a bath in my ninth-floor room, the fire alarms sounded and guests were instructed to evacuate. I immediately got dressed, grabbed my purse and keys, and walked down nine flights of stairs. We gathered in the lobby and waited for information. For approximately two hours, we received very little reliable information, and what we were told was inconsistent. What was especially disturbing was watching families become frightened and uncertain about what was happening. Some children were so scared that they no longer felt safe returning to their rooms, and some families ultimately left the resort that night. When I was finally able to check on my room, I discovered that it had been affected by flooding. There was water covering the carpet outside my door, and my feet were immediately soaked. My laptop bag and duffel bag were also soaked, including my work laptop and other personal belongings. I documented the damage and completed an incident report as instructed by security. But the emergency itself was not the worst part. The response was. I was repeatedly given conflicting instructions about where I would sleep. I waited in line for a room, was pulled out of line to retrieve my belongings, was told there were no rooms available, and then watched other guests around me receive rooms. Eventually, around 1:30 a.m., I was handed a piece of paper and told to go to the Swan Resort. I drove to the Swan in the middle of the night, only to be told that the paperwork Bonnet Creek had given me would not be honored and that I needed to go to the Dolphin. I drove to the Dolphin, waited another 30 minutes, and finally reached my room at 2:18 a.m. After showering and trying to settle my nerves, I finally got into bed around 3:09 a.m. I returned to Bonnet Creek at approximately 8:30 a.m. and was eventually given another room around 10:00 a.m. By then, I was exhausted and physically affected by the stress of the night. I had traveled to this resort for a convention, yet I lost most of the following day because of what had happened. What I will remember most is not the resort's beautiful grounds or amenities. I will remember standing in a lobby in the middle of the night with other guests who didn't know what was happening, watching frightened families decide they no longer felt safe, trying to protect my work equipment from water damage, being sent from one resort to another, and receiving conflicting information from the people who were supposed to be helping us. Emergencies happen. That is not my complaint. My complaint is that when the emergency happened, I did not feel informed, supported, or cared for. If you are considering staying here, I encourage you to look beyond the pools, grounds, and amenities and consider something just as important: How confident would you feel that the resort could take care of you and your family if something went seriously wrong? After this experience, that is the question I am left asking myself.

Tripadvisor· 3 weeks agoThe Pros: neat & clean. THE most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Beautiful pools.|The Cons: HUGE resort. Lots of walking, resort fee & parking fee, gap in employee communication. Very nice employee at one of the pools spoke very little English. Was unable to communicate with us. Breakfast buffet is pricey at $27. LONG lines for Starbucks and they don’t take Starbucks cards. |Overall we were happy with our stay as a good nights sleep and relaxing in the pool was a priority.

Google· a month agoThe room was comfortable and clean just a little outdated. The hotel itself is great, many things to do arcade,gym, pool, etc.. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Our waiter was a little underwhelmed and didn’t seem like he really wanted to be there but other than that breakfast was excellent. All other staff at the hotel were outstanding, very friendly and welcoming. Every staff member that I walked past gave me a greeting, which was nice. Location is nice for many of the parks in the area. I just wish there was more in the immediate area such as grocery store, drugstore, etc.. The parking garage was also very nice, very convenient and it kept my vehicle out of the hot sun.

Google· 4 months agoI had an amazing stay! The hotel was beautiful, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The pools were absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our trip. The food was also delicious, with plenty of great options to choose from. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience from start to finish. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation.

Google· a week agoMy wife and I have stayed at Wyndham Bonnet Creek more than a dozen times, and I wanted to recognize four wonderful ladies who made this visit especially memorable. Jen, Brittney, Jennifer P., and Rika all deserve a big thank you! My wife is a Wyndham Platinum member, and Jen and Brittney made sure she received the room upgrade she deserved. It’s always nice when a hotel recognizes its loyal guests and makes them feel appreciated. We were also in town for a concert and hoping to enjoy an early dinner beforehand. They were able to get us checked in by 3:30, which made our evening so much easier. Jen, the manager, was absolutely fantastic. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in her work. Brittney was equally wonderful—friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to deal with. Both made us feel truly valued. I also want to recognize Jennifer P. and Rika, who are currently in training. Both were welcoming, friendly, and eager to help. If they follow Jen and Brittney’s lead, they’re going to be absolute rockstars! After more than a dozen stays, it’s people like these four ladies who keep us coming back. I sincerely hope Wyndham recognizes them for the excellent job they’re doing. Thank you all for taking such great care of us. We truly appreciated it!

Google· 3 months agoVery disappointing experience with Wyndham Resorts. Our stay was filled with problems that should never happen at a resort. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, the bed sheets were stained, and we had no hot water during our stay. Instead of the relaxing vacation we expected, we spent our time dealing with these issues. We also attended their timeshare presentation after being promised a gift for participating. I completed the presentation and initially signed an agreement, but after reconsidering, I exercised my legal right to cancel the contract within the allowed rescission period. After canceling, Wyndham refused to honor the gift they had promised for attending the presentation and they also never gave us the free week as another gift that they themselves decided to promise us to make up for the bad experience we had suffered due to the terrible conditions of the room. I believe this is unfair and misleading because the gift was presented as an incentive for attending, not for remaining locked into a timeshare purchase. It feels like the offer came with undisclosed conditions that were never clearly explained. I feel that we were punished for cancelling our agreement and in turn they decided not to give us either gift. I would encourage anyone considering attending one of these presentations to get every promise in writing and ask whether canceling within the legal rescission period affects any promotional incentives. My experience left me feeling misled and disappointed. I have called numerous numbers inquiring about what we were promised but no one seems to know about it or the phone calls are never answered. I have written corporate offices as well and have not heard back. I will never again stay at a Wyndham Resort.
