Everything good comes short and sweet (Including this review) The rooms are surprisingly big for some reason The people are warm and friendly even though some of their English is broken. (Trying is what I admire about them) And the location is very convenient. Tons of tourist attractions around the place, just needa take the train to the location. And that closes my review for my first hotel in Japan, Osaka. Staff. If yall are reading this, I have a message for all of you . . . Keep it up. Thank you for serving us. キープ·イット·アップ。ご利用ありがとうございました。

We stayed here for 5 nights once landing in Osaka airport. This helped us get acclimated and get some nearby sights in. This hotel is very central to many activities and tourist destinations. We used the subway entrance and underground path for most of the trip. Location is excellent. Staff were fine. Nothing noteworthy. Our luggage transfer took the attendant about 30 minutes to organize. Breakfast buffet had many offerings both Japanese and Western - comfortable seating. Elevators were very slow and hot. Room had a very responsive thermostat. Bathroom was small and difficult to get around, especially the toilet. The rooms were very clean and always tidy.

Clean and comfortable room with a lovely bathtub. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. The hotel is conveniently located close to Osaka Station, with many great restaurants nearby. A very sweet touch was that the staff arranged our children’s stuffed animals nicely on the beds every day when cleaning the room. They also changed the bedding daily whenever it became a little dirty, which we really appreciated while traveling with children. The attention to detail and kindness from the staff made our stay extra special. We would happily come back.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka. The location was excellent, within walking distance of Osaka Station, restaurants, convenience stores, and shopping areas, making it very convenient for sightseeing and transportation. The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained. Although the room size was compact, which is common in Japan, it was thoughtfully designed and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet, allowing for a good night’s sleep. One of the highlights was the public bath facility, which was clean and relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient during both check-in and check-out.The breakfast offered a good selection of Japanese and Western dishes, and the quality was excellent.Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay in Osaka. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

We enjoyed our stay here and are glad that we chose to pay a bit more to have a larger room than most Japanese hotel. The bed was massive and my wife could jump on one side without me even moving. The housekeeping here was absolutely top notch and must be acknowledged. They did a superb job of cleaning our room and replenishing the amenities every day. The reception staff were welcoming. The buffet breakfast was delicious. A short walk from Osaka station, even with luggage was not a problem. Coin laundry here was a plus for us.

Loved staying here. Location is immaculate. It's 10min walk to umeda malls and the osaka station. Sure there are closer ones like hotel respire, but its twice as expensive. This hotel is clean spacious and friendly yet it was only 70 dollars per night. There is a lawson on the first floor and a hot tub on the 3rd floor along with laundry. Just immaculate. Loved it! Will return here! Osaka best city!!!!!! Im gonna retire here!!! 😍😍

It is new (as of 2026) so it is super clean. Carpet still fresh. Bathroom has no mold. Shower over bath only. So not elderly friendly. We booked 2 beds (double size) and still have enough space to lay open of 2 extra large suitcases. 2 Pillows come with each bed, one firm one soft, very thoughtful. Bed is medium firm. They have onsen and sauna too. Though the location is bit far from train station but worth the walk.

Response from the property

Thank you very much for staying with us and for sharing your wonderful review along with a perfect score. We are delighted to hear that you found our hotel clean and comfortable, and that you appreciated the fresh carpet and the condition of the bathroom. It is also our pleasure to know that you were satisfied with the room space, bedding, and thoughtful pillow options. Your kind comments truly encourage our team. At the same time, we appreciate your feedback regarding the shower-over-bath setup. We understand that it may not be the most convenient, especially for elderly guests, and we will take your valuable input into consideration for future improvements. We are also glad that you enjoyed our onsen and sauna facilities and that you felt the stay was worth the walk from the station. Thank you once again for your kind words. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Hotel Monterey Lefrereosaka Manager

We stayed 4 nights at Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka during our holidays trip and had a very pleasant experience. The three of us stayed in a triple room, which was comfortable, clean, and felt quite new. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get around. After walking the whole day visiting tourist spots, it was especially nice to come back and relax. The spa was also a great addition and helped us unwind. Overall, a very comfortable stay with good facilities and location
