We stayed at Lysebu for nine days and felt very comfortable there. Those expecting a classic, luxurious five star hotel might have different expectations. In our opinion, the Lysebu is less about luxury and more about its special atmosphere, its peaceful location in nature, and the hotel's personal touch. A big thank you to the entire Lysebu team.

A incredible hotel set in a truly magnificent surrounding. Reception staff were courteous from start to finish. They helped over and above from a pleasant welcome to answering queries by email. Nothing was too much trouble in helping me plan an amazing trip. The room was spectacular with all amenities included. The view is breathtaking, allowing you to see for miles. The pool and sauna were an added bonus. Highly recommend!

Great stay! Such a nice location to get to cross country skiing, holmenkallen world cup, and train into oslo to enjoy the city! Food was delicious. Breakfast and dinner. Igor at the front desk was awesome! Such a nice guy and helped us out if we needed anything! Hopefully we’ll be able to come back!

Let me add to the glowing reviews here. We had a fantastic stay at Lysebu. We took advantage of the indoor pool and sauna and had a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The rooms were very clean and the bath with its rainfall shower was splendid. The staff were lovely and the setting of the hotel was quiet and beautiful. It made for the perfect weekend!

If you ever go to Oslo, do yourself a favour and stay in this hotel. It's probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was super nice, cosy and clean and the surroundings were quiet and beautiful. The staff was also super friendly and very welcoming and gave us a tour and told the history of the place. The hotel has a nice pool with a sauna and several nooks and places where you can hang out and relax. Me and my family felt extremely comfortable. My only regret is that we only stayed one night. The breakfast was great and had everything I could want. Safe to say this wasn't my last stay at this gem of a hotel.

We stayed here for only one night but wished we stayed longer. We were warmly welcomed by Kit who proved to be an amazing host for our whole stay. He showed us around the "stabbur" and also the garden and bee boxes. The hotel is lined with fantastic art and our room even had an "Inger Setter". Breakfast was great and the whole experience was fantastic. Sauna and pool were a great plus! Highly recommended.

Hygge atmosphere in a truly beautiful place. The staff were very kind and polite. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had, with great selection. However, the room was not heated properly. The pool/gym/sauna close at 10:30pm.
