Frequently asked questions about Perth

When is the best time to visit Perth?

The best time to visit Perth is from November to March, when days are warm and sunny with little rain. April and October are also pleasant, with mild temperatures and fewer crowds. The rainiest stretch is June through August, which is also the coolest, so plan around those months if you prefer dry weather.

Which area should I stay in in Perth?

Stay in Perth City Centre for easy access to the river, Kings Park, and most sights; it suits first-timers and those who like walking. East Perth, near the Swan River, is quieter and good for families, with the Hyatt Regency Perth there. West Perth offers a more relaxed, residential feel, close to the city, and is a good pick for a calmer stay. Burswood, across the river, is ideal for those wanting the Crown Towers and its entertainment complex.

What are the must-see attractions in Perth?

Kings Park and Botanic Garden offers sweeping city and river views with native bushland. Elizabeth Quay is a lively waterfront precinct with public art and ferry access. Fremantle Prison, a UNESCO-listed site, reveals convict-era history. The Bell Tower houses historic bells with Swan River views. The Perth Mint showcases Australia's gold heritage with live demonstrations.

The QT Perth is a fantastic hotel, perfectly located in the middle of the Perth CBD. Everything is within easy walking distance and it’s a great place to stay for events in the city. The rooms are excellent, with clever and quirky design that was very practical and elegant. The bed was super comfortable and the amenities were great - loved the big range of free movies. We had a package that included breakfast and it was excellent. Not the usual buffet madness, but instead an à la cart selection. We also had dinner one night in the restaurant and it was outstanding. The service at the front desk was great, with only one gap. On our second night, there was no hot water to our room that night. It was due to a mains fault, but we were not notified. We still had no hot water the next morning, with no apologies or notice. I appreciate that these things happen, but a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way.

We had a fantastic stay at QT Perth. The hotel has a stylish decor and attention to detail throughout. The rooms are modern, comfortable and have that unique QT feel that makes the stay feel a little special. The location was also great and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. One small suggestion for improvement would be to provide complimentary bottled water and slippers in the rooms, particularly as the rooms have beautiful wooden floors. Slippers would be a lovely added touch for comfort.

QT Perth ticks all the boxes! Fantastic central location, super comfortable beds and a gorgeous oversized bathtub big enough for two! But what really makes this hotel stand out is the exceptional service. From the front desk to housekeeping and food and beverage, the entire team was friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Great atmosphere, stylish rooms and outstanding hospitality. Easily one of the best places to stay in Perth, especially for a long stay like we had. Highly recommend!

Love staying at the QT when in Perth. It's in a great spot, just opposite the shopping area and just a short walk to Elizabeth Quay or to Yagan Square. The hotel is nice and modern, with nice quirky touches like the lifts or the very funky bathroom on level. Our room was on level 7 and had everything we needed. Loved that it came with a bathtub too. Everything was nice clean and modern. And I loved that their TV had a selection of free movies. Nice touch. Breakfast was included in our rate - you get a choice of a coffee or tea, one juice and one main menu item. We particularly loved the mushrooms with haloumi on sourdough. Yumm. Such a lovely stay and we'd definitely stay again.

Can’t say enough good stuff about this hotel. Have stayed in a lot of hotels in Perth and this was the first time staying here but will definitely be going back. Great location right in the heart of the city with easy walking distance to everything. The front of house staff were so helpful, when we arrived early for our check in he came out and took our car for valet parking (sorry did not get his name) then still checked us in early when we came back, and remembered my name (such attention to detail!). The lady in charge of security is such an asset too, so helpful, friendly and informative. The room was lovely and bed was extremely comfy (would love to know what brand of bed that is!) Dyson accessories and bathroom all top spec. The rooftop bar was exceptional, lovely staff there too and wonderful view of the city, with great atmosphere and good music. Breakfast and staff in Santini Restaurant were excellent too. Highly recommend this hotel!

We had a great night out at the rooftop bar - perfect for a catch up. Drinks were delicious and we also wanted to thank Roxanne for her amazing service. The type of hospitality that is rare to find nowadays. Many thanks.

My experience sums up this venue as Opulent - Service on point. Thank you Maria for the easy seamless stress free check at customer care service desk . Maria professional proficient and memorable. The rooms on Point clean ( we were great full for 2 beautiful rooms with bath tubs) meticulous accessible and home away from home. We had drinks at the QT Roof top. Service by staff both by QR or front facing impeccable. Love the arvo vibes drinks after work the sun beaming into the atrium cocktails vibing as the sun went down and became a mirage. The soft music vibes of the DJ colourful cocktails mirrors delish finger food. Lets go to the room. It was you inviting me into your home. I wasnt just a guest I was the most important person In the world and the rooms are a reflection of who you are as a collective delivery high end quality and service. To those small touches... the dyson... the designer room spray candles and bath bomb ( I bought the room spray) as a reminder of interior decadence. The room itself and bathroom functional and well designed the well equipped bar featuring Australian made and coffee machine to the Bose speaker. Room the bed/pillow throws super comfy and spotless. I felt so guilty and made my bed cleaned as I went - truly home away from home. Thank you.
