Like so many other resorts these days, all apartments etc at PL are privately owned, a concept that can work well, assuming room owners are prepared to keep their individual property / properties up to scratch. Our room was exactly as indicted in the photos on PL's website, suffice to say, the images are probably at least 10 years old. The general aesthetic was great with almost all of the facilities you could ask for. Unfortunately, it appears that (I can only assume) the owners of this apartment are not prepared to have it updated. We own rooming houses and rental properties ourselves and understand implicitly that keeping a property fresh and with everything in working order ensures great reviews, maximum occupancy rates and a great reputation. At a guess, a low spend of around $2000 to $2500 would bring the apartment up to scratch which would have resulted in a 5 star review. The resort itself is lovely with all the amenities one could ask for, including clean grounds, wonderful BBQ areas, great pools. But most of all, amazing managers!

Place was dirty and the upstairs bathroom smelled of mold. Microwave didn't work and we got locked out of the electronic gate at 1am and was told by oh yeah it's a dodgy gate. Kitchen was falling apart and the decor was not up to expected standard. The pools were really nice. No issues outside of the villa other than the gate. We asked to leave 2 days early as the mold was affecting a pregnant traveller to which they refused. Disappointed.

This place has a lot going for it - great location, amazing pools and spacious accommodation. Unfortunately, there were a bunch of minor issues that dampened our experience, such as smell and cleanliness in kitchen and patio areas, another car in our assigned garage as well as some electronic devices that weren’t connected or worked properly. Would definitely score higher if we hadn't had to deal with these.

An expensive place to stay, especially around school holidays. Our room was ok.. but for $760 a night! Should have been amazing.. think we stayed in villa 7.. was dated, tired looking in need of some paint and make over, TV remote didn't work, noisy from roads, needed instructions how to work the ceiling fan, felt cold and nothing special really. Wouldn't stay again. Grounds and facilities by the resort are pretty good but same, need some money spent on them in my opinion for how much you pay to stay here.

We had 7days in a 2 bedroom apartment. With all the amenities. The pool area is beautiful and the grounds so well maintained. Really good value for money. Staff so friendly. Definitely stay here again

Myself and my family stayed for 4 nights at Paradise Links and we had a wonderful stay, The complex it self is lovely and well maintained in the public areas. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was spacious and well kitted out with everything we needed for our stay. We arrived very early from our flight from Cairns and the resort were fantastic in getting out apartment ready much earlier than normal check in time and sent us a message to let us know when it was ready. The staff on reception were very helpful and recommended places to eat in the town. A really great place to stay in Port Douglas! We will be back!

The hotel was fine, it did the job for what we paid. The carpet was filthy and worn out. We stayed for for four nights and the room wasn’t cleaned once, we had to keep going to reception to ask for more. The website also states there’s complimentary parking but there was often not enough space for all the cars so we had to park on off site spaces which wasn’t ideal. Not the worst hotel ever but wouldn’t rush back.
