The hotel is in 1 min from the main square on foot. It is reachable for all the excursions pickup. Our 2 windows were faced to the street and it still was quite at nights. The bed was big and comfy. We had a portable heater in the room, it was enough to warm the room. The shower was excellent with high pressure and warm water 24/7, which is rare in the south of Peru. The breakfast was okey with self service scrambled eggs without restrictions. I've seen reviews that it was a problem 1 year ago, it seems that they've changed it and now you can have self service eggs. Overall, I would recommend staying here, as we got everything we wanted from a high altitude hotel in a small town.

Right in the heart of the city! The staff is polite and helpful, even if your Spanish isn't very good. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the water is hot! Included breakfast selection was diverse and delicious.

This hotel is fine, it's a good location for Lake Titicaca etc. I stayed for 2 nights as part of an Exoticca tour. I had no hot water on either night and had to chase reception each time. It was resolved but it's seriously annoying when you're stripped off ready to shower. My room was cold, no heater or mechanism to turn the AC on/up. I only got a small hand towel and bath towel, I'm sure I could have asked for more. The TV volume wouldn't turn up, I only wanted to watch the news in English. When housekeeping came they left the window wide open! Breakfast is simple but ok, and pretty standard for Peru.

We stayed at the Casona Plaza Hotel in Puno and, unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the city on foot. However, that’s where the positives end. The hotel is old and poorly maintained. The sound insulation is practically nonexistent: you can hear street noise as if you were outside, even with the windows closed, and hallway noise makes it feel like people are constantly entering your room. From the bathroom, you can clearly hear everything happening in the neighboring room, toilet noises, shower, conversations… And if your neighbor decides to sing in the shower for an hour, you’ll enjoy the full performance whether you want to or not. Breakfast also lacked consideration for guests. The only water available in the breakfast area is warm. If you want cold water, you have to take it from the fridge and you will be charged 4 soles per bottle, even though breakfast is already included. In summary, you pay mainly for the location. For everything else, be prepared to overlook quite a lot.

Excellent hotel well located for central Puno. Not much parking around and about, streets are very tight. Great staff and good food

We have stayed in several hotels across Peru and rate the beds at this one as the best! So comfy and even a memory foam pillow on the bed. Room was huge with extra bedding, heater, fan, sofa and hairdryer in the bathroom.|Service at the bar was slow but breakfast was great and there is a coffee machine and cold drinks available at reception.|For the price, highly recommend.

I cannot recommend the hotel at all, even though some of the staff try their best.|At arrival we were given a room with heavy sewer smell and mould in the bathroom sinks and bath everywhere. Not just a tiny bit. The dirty carpet topped the offering.|We requested another room, arguing with my (true) allergy for dust mite. We were given a slightly better room, but also from the bathroom, sewer smell that I managed to reduce by putting cloths in the sinks when not used.|The rear elevator, closest to our room had not been cleaned in ages it seems.|At breakfast, limited offering, too crowded.|Coffee from the big tank had swimming parts of the typical sticking of coffee in a can long not cleaned.|Worst hotel in Peru and worst we stayed in since years.

Huge comfy bed and best shower I’ve had in hostels/hotels in South America! Room had good WiFi signal and hotel is located central to all the amenities. Only complaint is breakfast hours very restrictive 6-8:30, and the offering is limited to cereal, dry bread, and cold meats and cheeses.
