THIS HOTEL IS SOO BRILLIANT!!!! i stayed in a twin bed room with my brother and it was perfect temperature and cozy. good very clean toilets. i loved the soap SO MUCH. the breakfast was GENUINELY THE BEST BREAKFAST OF MY LIFE!! PANCAKES AND CINNAMON ROLLS. the bed was also very comfortable and the room was cozy, quaint and clean. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE

The old rooms are not so great - but they are refurbishing them and my last stay in a refurbished room was awesome. The service at the front desk was friendly and helpful. They were extremely busy but calm and never short tempered. I watched them deal with all nationalities of people. The breakfast is ok. The staff in the restaurant were also very professional and nice. As a solo, I felt secure and will stay there again.

Great location, room is small but functional as expected. The sink is so tiny water will splash out from simply washing your face or brushing your teeth.What unexpected is that there is no hot water boiler in the room. You can only get hot water in the lobby where the staff has to be present to fill the tiny 2 cup hot water boiler people wait to use. The staff are nice, however, there is only one staff that works the bar and the checkin desk.

Room didn't have cold water in the shower, which was fine full hot shower was the right temp for me. Room was clean and the price wasn't horrible. Good hotel for a single night stay. Everything was as described. If you read the description you know what you are getting it's a fine hotel with fine amenities. There is a parking lot that was completely full when we parked.

Nice place to stay. Parking was easy even tough there was construction going on behind the hotel. Still good amount of space for off season parking. N1 in front of the hotel. Very good breakfast and lot of tables in breakfast area. This place is literally a good 35 to 40 minute walk from downtown reykjavík. I stayed here due to the tour company picking this location which makes sense because it's so easy for tour buses to pick up people. I think there's one food court Borg 29, a bonus nearby, and like a N1 gas station across the street. It can be noisy to some people because there's like several lanes of traffic outside. I stayed on 5th floor. 3 stars for what you're getting: cramped bedroom but clean with no water kettle or blow dryer, good water pressure, bare bones breakfast but good black coffee, and the front desk man with grayish long hair who is absolute sweetheart. The breakfast is cold cuts, bread, yogurt and good orange slices, pepper and tomatoes. I was having issues with my trip accommodations and he let me use their phone and offered some ideas. 5 stars for that guy. But onto the bad: I think they're charging 690 krona for bag storage (don't say I didn't warn you). Also the shades take forever to roll down - bring sleeping mask cause it's super bright. The view of the water is unbelievable in that on a clear sunny day the midnight sun phenomenon is insane.

Basic and decent. Room was clean but small. Small but tiny private bathroom. Shower made for tiny wee people. I had a great view of the sea. Decent free breakfast every morning - a few restaurants within walking distance. Downtown tourist corridor 1 mile walk west. Plenty of room for tour bus pickup. If you need a Taxi from this hotel download the HreyFill App which provides excellent door to door service. Front staff were all helpful especially the older long haired dude.

We stayed a total of three nights and didn’t have any major concerns. Rooms are clean and quiet and despite what other reviews said I have stayed at hotels with much smaller rooms. Location is great. 30 minute walk along water front to downtown. Food mart near by. Several good coffee cafés close by. Lots of restaurants to discover. The only slight down side was the breakfast was pretty standard. Oh and the front desk people were great and can help you with anything.
