Overall, this was a decent stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but both the rooms and amenities felt quite basic compared to similarly priced hotels. One thing I found surprising was that body lotion was not provided. If your room is not in the main building facing the bridge, be aware that the reception is located in a separate building about a one-minute walk away. It wasn’t a major issue, but it was slightly inconvenient. The staff were okay and did their job, but nothing particularly stood out. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its prime location, which makes it very convenient for exploring the area. If I visit again, I would probably spend a little more and choose a hotel with better amenities and facilities. That said, I still had a good stay overall. With some improvements to the amenities and guest experience, this hotel could be much better.

Absolutely — I’ve kept your points and frustration, but made it clear, professional, and strong enough for a hotel review or formal complaint. Firstly, I’m very glad that we decided not to stay at this hotel and instead booked an Airbnb right next door. We were told by our Airbnb contact that we could briefly park outside the hotel to unload our luggage when we arrived. We were also told that, when leaving the apartment, we could stop there again for around 10 minutes to collect all our bags. I followed those instructions. We were fully aware that this was hotel parking and had absolutely no intention of leaving our car there or using it as a parking space. When we were leaving, I went into the apartment to collect our luggage while my wife, who is pregnant, and our 14-month-old son waited in the car. The car was left running, as we were only going to be there for a very short time and would have left immediately once I had collected our bags. When I returned to the car, my wife told me that a man from the hotel had spoken to her in a very rude and aggressive manner. Naturally, I went to speak to him. Unfortunately, his behaviour towards me was also extremely aggressive. I explained to him that, regardless of the parking situation, there was no reason to speak to my wife in that manner, particularly when she is pregnant and our 14-month-old son was sitting in the car. Instead of simply asking us to move the car, which we would have done immediately, he continued speaking to me in an extremely aggressive and disrespectful tone. He said things such as, “After this, you will teach your son how to park the car next time,” and, “I don’t care if your wife is pregnant. I don’t care about your son.” He also threatened to call the police. When I got back into the car, he stood directly in front of the vehicle and told me to “f** off.” I asked him for his name, but he refused to give it to me. I find this behaviour completely unacceptable. It is very easy to be aggressive towards a pregnant woman when you are in a position of authority, but basic courtesy and professionalism should apply regardless of the situation. If there was an issue with where we had stopped, all he needed to say was, “Excuse me, could you please move the car?” We would have done so without any argument. Unfortunately, he chose to approach the situation with aggression and disrespect instead. As I was not given his name, I can only describe him as a tall man wearing a white T-shirt and dark trousers, with a dark beard. I would expect the hotel management to be able to identify the member of staff from this description and the time of the incident. My son is only 14 months old, yet the level of respect and manners expected from him as he grows up will clearly be higher than what was demonstrated by this member of staff. I would strongly recommend that the hotel management look into this incident and consider whether this is the standard of customer service they want their staff to provide. A simple request could have resolved the situation within seconds, but instead it became an unnecessarily aggressive and unpleasant experience for my family. After this experience, I certainly would not consider staying at this hotel in the future. Having read some of the other reviews mentioning poor service from certain members of staff, unfortunately, my experience has only reinforced those concerns.

It is a basic hotel, but the view worth it. I recommend the rooms facing the gorge especially room 204, 205, 206 and 207. These room are at better height than first and third floor. The location is perfact at the center of all attractions. There is no water kettle provided you need to get hot water from the hotel restaurant.

Very nice well placed with hotel parking almost next door. Breakfast very expensive considering it’s basic quality. Don’t imagine fruit salads or scrambled eggs or sausage etc. Our shower had no hot water and the toilet cistern ran all night.

Very disappointing for a four-star hotel. The reception staff were arrogant and rude—they even tossed the room key card at us. The room was dated and very basic, with no trash bin, fridge, body lotion, hand wash, or bar soap. Even the shower gel and shampoo came in cheap little plastic bottles that were inconvenient to use. These are not the standards you would expect from a four-star hotel. The view was the only reason we booked this hotel. Without it, we would never have chosen to stay here. I would definitely not recommend it.

We booked 2 twin rooms for a stop over on our motorcycle tour of Spain 6 months in advance. Despite offering to pay in advance the hotel refused to allocate the rooms until we arrived and would not guarantee we had twin rooms. We also booked 2 parking spaces for our 4 motorcycles but upon arrival they had been given to someone else… The room was ok (fabulous view of the bridge and stunning location) but the hotel was a little run down - if the customer service had been a little better I’d recommend but as it was we all agreed not to spend another penny in the hotel and ate and drank elsewhere

One of the worst hotels we’ve stayed in. The customer service was appalling. Reported the TV not working, nothing done about it. The balcony furniture was dirty, broken and dangerous. Asked for two chairs, twice, nothing done about it. |Tried to book a taxi the evening before we left, we were told to do that in the morning. The morning receptionist tried, but it was not possible. |My advice, use the excellent restaurant, stay somewhere else.

Gorgeous view, literally! of Rondas spectacular gorge. The restaurant is a must do thing here, the food served up is authentic local cuisine even offering local wines. We stayed over one night in the basic or should I say locally rustic room. We Loved it !
