Hotel El Tajo & Spa

Late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) are the most pleasant months, with mild temperatures and less rain. July and August are the hottest and driest, ideal for clear views of the Tajo gorge. November through February are the rainiest stretch. The famous Feria de Pedro Romero in early September adds to the appeal of autumn visits.

Stay in the city center (El Mercadillo), near the Puente Nuevo and the bullring, for easy access to shops, restaurants, and the main viewpoints. It suits first-timers who want everything within walking distance, with hotels like Catalonia Reina Victoria and Parador de Ronda. For a quieter, more historic feel, choose the old town (La Ciudad) across the bridge, where narrow streets and monuments like Mondragon Palace set the tone. It works well for travelers drawn to atmosphere and early mornings. Both areas keep you close to the Tajo gorge and its miradors.

Start at the Baños Árabes to see the best-preserved Moorish baths in Spain. Walk the Alameda del Tajo for its clifftop park views over the gorge. Cross El Tajo de Ronda to take in the dramatic chasm and the Puente Nuevo from the Mirador Puente Nuevo de Ronda. Visit the Bullring of the Royal Cavalry of Ronda, a key site for modern bullfighting history, then finish at Mondragon Palace, a Mudejar mansion with gardens and city views.

Full-day tours from Ronda go to Seville and Granada, showcasing their grand cathedrals and Alhambra. The white villages of the Serranía de Ronda, like Setenil de las Bodegas and Zahara, are also popular day trips. A tour to the Caminito del Rey offers dramatic cliff-side walks.

Two days are enough to see Ronda's core: the El Tajo de Ronda gorge, the Puente Nuevo viewpoints, the Baños Árabes, and the Bullring. On the second day, add the Alameda del Tajo, Museo Lara, and Mondragon Palace. If you plan a day trip elsewhere, add a third day.
