My stay here felt like a dream. The place is incredibly comfortable, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Anika, who was incredibly helpful and attentive to every detail. She even surprised me by decorating my room for my birthday, which made me even happier and made my stay truly special. She also arranged all of my shuttle bus times whenever I needed to go out, and I am truly grateful to her for her care and thoughtfulness. As for dinner, it was another experience on its own. The food was absolutely delicious, very clean, and of excellent quality. You can genuinely taste the high quality of the ingredients used in its preparation. The only thing that I feel could be improved was the breakfast, which unfortunately did not match the standard of the place. It was quite simple, not particularly tasty, and lacked the feeling of freshly prepared food. I hope this can be improved to bring breakfast up to the same excellent standard as the rest of the experience.

Amazing resort with free shuttle bus to Santa Claus village, city centre and airport transfer. Its spa ammenities are also very good - with a traditional Finnish sauna, cold plunge, thermal pools and salt bath! We even got treated to a nice sunset as we capped off the day ;) highly recommended!

I came to Aito Igloo & Spa Resort for my birthday weekend to escape the heat in California. Summer is Aito’s slow season but I’m now dying to come back in winter. |This secluded resort is so peaceful with a ton of relaxing activities such as biking, hiking, picking blueberries, boating, and the spa. The decor is so posh even in their standard room. |However, what made my trip was the incredible customer service. The employees made sure that I had the best experience. |Sonali - booked my transfer, suggested the spa, called to make my lunch and dinner reservations. Made suggestions on activities. |Aneequa was so warm and welcoming. She assured me that even the slightest problem to contact her immediately. |And breakfast was fantastic. It’s not an open buffet, everything is made to order. The chef Gihan from Sri Lanka was incredible. His food was amazing and could be customized to the individual. He talked about how pretty the resort will be in winter and how you can see the northern lights and walk on the lake. |Seeing their welcoming and smiling faces everyday helped start my Finland adventure for the day.

With this review I want to give warning for all future guests thinking of visiting the resort. Unfortunately I got very bad experience with my wife. Even it is low season they weren’t able to arrange treatment I had booked and paid many weeks beforehand as a birthday surprise for my wife. The person at the front desk is absolutely an opposite of well serving clerk. The manager I wasn’t able to contact at all because they refused to share contact information for the manager or resort owner. The situation was that they just simply forgot my booking for a treatment in the spa and we drove all the way to the destination (which is very far from the city of Rovaniemi) just to hear that the treatment is not available because of lack of personnel. They offered us to stand and wait for an hour to get the person there but that wasn’t possible because we had already more plans for the birthday evening with bigger crew. Obviously they were then trying to use this as an excuse because we wasn’t able to wait there. This place advertise to be luxury resort but problem handling and claim management is less than 1 star. Perhaps if all is fine someone might think this to be luxury, but as soon as something doesn’t match the booking they cannot handle. They offer overpriced treatments in the spa in the middle of nowhere but as a matter of fact I was willing to drive there and pay the money for my wife’s birthday. There was no other guests and it’s low season and only 1 reservation for the day and they manage to screw it up and cause disappointment. Same treatment they ask 170€ is available in all big cities in Finland for 1/3 of the price. And best of all they offered us 10% discount = 17€ for driving there for nothing and supposed to drive again to get the treatment in another time. This ridiculous compensation don’t even cover the fuel cost. It was 100% their mistake by forgetting my reservation which I booked 5 weeks before and paid fully. I cannot suggest anyone going here because as soon as something doesn’t match the expectations (which in full honesty we could expect from luxury resort) they are unable to make customers happy and compensate their own mistakes. I can only imagine what this place is when it’s high season..

We had the most amazing 4 day stay in an Aurora Treehouse - it was warm, extremely comfortable and very well equipped - the view of the frozen lake out of the huge window was stunning! The reindeers running around in the moonlight with the Northern Lights in the sky above was an unbelievable sight! The whole resort was beautifully presented, clean and quiet with friendly and helpful staff - very easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. With the thick snow it was a very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The food was good in both of the restaurants although the menus weren't particularly extensive. The Spa was a lovely experience - we found that the 2 hour pass per day was plenty of time. The free shuttles into Rovaniemi, Santa Claus Village and to and from the airport were very welcome - the resort itself is very remote but that is a major part of its charm. We did the 1 hr Snowmobile experience from The Safari House which was excellent - all the gear was provided and the guide was wonderful. All in all it was a fantastic trip!
