This hotel exceeded our expectations! It's beautiful, centrally located and staffed with the friendliest of staff. Our room was well equipped, with a massive, comfortable bed, and luxury linens. The bathroom was well lit with double sinks which we really appreciated. The hotel staff was exceptional, always ready to assist with our needs and greeting us with a friendly smile each day. The breakfast was amazing and the night we dined at the hotel was wonderful with an excellent wine list and delicious food. The hotel is perfectly located next to the Mirabell gardens. It is an easy 10 minute walk to Old Town. The only drawback was that our room, 101. The first night it sounded like a bowling team was throwing bowling balls in the room above us. We spoke to the front desk and that's when we discovered that the fitness was directly above us. The front desk expressed their apologies and ensured that they would make sure the center was closed at night. Overall we recommend this hotel.

Meets every expectation as a 5 star hotel in the heart of Salzburg. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast every morning was excellent with plenty of options. The hotel bar and restaurant is also very good & both made delicious cocktails and had a solid menu that was tasty. The service staff at the front desk and in the restaurant was always friendly and helpful as well. The gym was also well equipped and allowed to get some exercise in while traveling. The location is also truly excellent as it is directly adjacent to Mirabell Garden and one block from the riverfront. We used the hotel as a base to explore the entire city and region for five days and it was perfect for that. The entire old city is very walkable from the Sheraton and there are two major bus stops directly outside that allow you to take advantage of the Salzburg guest pass which makes all public transit free while staying at the Sheraton. The train station is also about a 5 minute walk and can be used to go even farther out if you so desire (and many of these trips are also free with the guest pass too!) Overall a great hotel, zero complaints. Would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who plans to explore Salzburg.

Exceptional stay. Far beyond expectations. One of the best Bonvoy properties we have stayed at. Will certainly be coming back. The hospitality was exceptional.. so warm, attentive, kind, caring and generous. The personal attention and attention to detail was to the level not commonly experienced with travel, even in 5 star properties. The hotel staff constantly went far above and beyond. The hotel location is perfect, near the main sites and right next to the park. The hotel is so well appointed and beautifully renovated, with lovely common space. The rooms were excellent.. spacious, very comfortable, newly renovated with high quality standard. The view over the park was so peaceful.

The hotel is very near the train station; a short bus ride drops off at the stop that is a 2 minute distance from the hotel. Also very convenient to get to the town square and main shopping areas.We were welcomed with a huge smile and greeting by one of the male reception staff, name starts with M although I cannot recollect his full name. He checked us in and even gave a complimentary upgrade since it was my birthday. They also advised us on how we could get to Hallstatt and it was the best way to get there. Rooms were clean, big and the bathrooms had floor heating which made it cosy in the mornings. Wonderful service by him! Was asked if I wanted a cake for my birthday; expected a single slice but came back to an entire cake with a card and flowers. Made me so happy!It was a wonderful experience staying here and I would definitely recommend it for any traveler.

What an amazing hotel in the middle of an amazing city! During our 4-week Europe trip, this hotel was our absolute favorite in the midst of our favorite city. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a magnificent suite, which was a gift because hotel life with 4 young kids is already challenging. We felt like royalty all week. The rooms are impeccable and the AC worked perfectly (which I can imagine is very helpful when it gets very hot in the summer.) Everyone on staff greeted us each day with a smile and provided a level of service superior to any other hotel visited on this trip. The breakfast selection was outstanding and one of the ladies working during breakfast even remembered it was our son's birthday and brought out a special dessert with a sparkling candle on top. What a treat! The Club Lounge for Marriott members was always well stocked with different drinks and snacks. The location of the hotel was perfect to walk to all of our tours and all around the Old Town of Salzburg. We felt safe, cared for, and the most joy all week. Thank you for a wonderful visit and we hope to be back in the future!

We had a fantastic stay at the Sheraton Grand Salzburg and could not have been happier with our choice for a long weekend in Salzburg. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city, right next to the beautiful Mirabell Gardens, where enjoying breakfast with birds singing in the background felt truly special. The reception staff were absolutely excellent — super friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were great, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful arrangement for our family. Although we had booked two standard rooms, the hotel kindly upgraded our setup to one suite and one standard room next to each other with an internal connecting door. It turned out to be an excellent arrangement for our family and made the stay incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was excellent as well, with a rich variety of options and something for everyone. Overall, we spent a wonderful long weekend here and truly could not have been happier that we chose this property. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay the rooms and facilities are super clean and comfortable. But what stood out for us is the staff. They are friendly helpful and made us feel so welcome - front of house, bar, restaurant and room cleaners. Every time we saw a member they were warm and helpful. I really recommend this hotel nothing bad to say at all!! Thanks for a great stay! Oh and location fantastic as right on the edge of the Mirabellplatz Gardens!

I've stayed at many Marriott brand hotels the world over and can say without reservation that this is the best one I have stayed at. I missed being in the heart of the old town and worried the location might be a bit far from it. But the trade-offs for all that the Sheraton offered that the old town hotels did not was well worth it. A brisk 12 minute walk gets you there. The Mirabell Gardens is just adjacent and the Sound of Music bus tour meets at a point 5 minutes walk away. The staff were great, the breakfast hours were convenient and the food options - including eggs made to order - varied and flavourful (although the scrambled eggs could be improved, one day too watery, the next day dry and tough – something in between would be perfect.) One suggestion would be to clearly label all foods with allergy numbers – my husband has celiac disease and continually had to ask staff whether certain items had gluten, and they often didn't know. The executive lounge is well-stocked and a beautiful place to relax with long opening hours. Rare - if not nonexistent - a sleek little ice machine was just down the hall from our room, so ice was available whenever desired and in the desired quantity. Highest praise, however, is reserved for the rooms themselves. We spent 4 nights in the King Room with Terrace and lounge access - #122. While not the largest, grandest, most luxurious, or most opulent, this is quite literally the best hotel room I have ever occupied – the bed and bedding were comfortable, the blackout blinds (electronic) kept the light out, the double sinks in the bathroom, its size, layout, design and Japanese bidet toilet were perfect as was the makeup mirror and luxurious toiletries, the closets and storage space generous, and the outside terrace with electronic retracting awning to protect against both sun and rain when needed was sublime. The many thoughtful conveniences are what stood out for me – plenty of places to hang towels, entrance hooks, nespresso coffee machine and kettle, a nightlight, nighttime reading light and spacious bedside tables, plenty of electrical outlets, and two ingenious notched rods to hang more stuff that I have never seen in a hotel room before. An exceedingly well-designed room with the needs and comforts of travellers uppermost in mind. I strongly recommend the Sheraton Grand and would without hesitation stay there on a future visit.
