First things first - the reception staff were kind, polite, and professional - I have nothing but praise for them. Second, the room was nice. Modern, a nice accessible bathroom, comfortable bed. There were two problems, though. The first was the lighting. The room was generally quite dark, and so to read in bed, the bedside light was needed. But it didn't work. I reported it to reception, they said they would get it fixed. I was told later that day that it had been fixed. It didn't work, I reported it again, they said they would investigate. Nothing was ever done, it never worked throughout my weeklong stay. Other problems were that the motion sensor to turn on bathroom lights only worked if you were under the shower. If you were at the sink, they did not, so the lights would go out when I was shaving, or brushing my teeth, and I had to then, with wet hands, switch on an override button that would then give me about one minute of light before switching off again. I reported it, it was never fixed. At one moment a light just inside the room started repeatedly flashing. I could not switch it off. I reported this, and it was fixed. The second problem was housekeeping: sometimes my bed was made, sometimes it wasn't. Sometimes I was provided with more coffee capsules for the coffee machine, but usually not, sometimes my used coffee cups were taken away, sometimes now, sometimes I was given a bath towel, but on two occasions, my old towel was taken away but not replaced. Each time I had to go to reception (which was in another building) to get towels, coffee, etc. So, nice hotel, but has technical electrical problems they don't seem to be able to solve, and has serious issues with housekeeping. The hotel is in a quiet part of the city, nice in some respects, but there were no shops nearby to pick up supplies (like coffee capsules hahahaha).

I accidentally booked this hotel on Agoda for the following night instead of the night we actually needed. I had paid around €130, so I immediately called the hotel and spoke with Marlen. She was very kind and explained that the date couldn’t be changed directly from their side and suggested contacting Agoda. Luckily, Agoda allowed me to cancel the booking and I received the full refund almost instantly. I then called the hotel again, and Marlen helped us book directly for the same night at €151, as it was peak season. What really impressed us was her kindness—she even offered complimentary breakfast for both of us, which normally costs more than €15 per person. From the moment we arrived, we were really impressed with the hotel. The modern interior looks amazing, the room was superb with a stylish modern-living feel, and the lobby was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was also very good, and the overall stay was completely worth the price. The location is another big advantage, being quite close to the Central Station. A special thank you to Marlen for being so helpful and welcoming. She really made our experience better from the very beginning. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again!

Absolutely unacceptable service. The staff were rude, dismissive, and showed little regard for guests. Whenever assistance was requested, we were left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time with no communication or follow-up.Paying guests should not have to chase staff for basic service or be treated as an inconvenience. The lack of professionalism and respect displayed by the team was extremely disappointing and completely ruined the overall experience.I rarely leave negative reviews, but the poor attitude and terrible service at this hotel deserve to be highlighted. Management should urgently address these issues before more guests have to endure the same experience.

Based on the photos, I had a pretty high expectation of this hotel. But this is far more like a Moxy than anything else in the Marriott portfolio. Sadly though it was a lot more expensive than most European Moxy's. The one saving grace is the location. It's walkable from the HBH or an easy bus connection (one stop from the HBH stops). I can't even really say it was quiet or easy to stay there. The housekeeping staff use the guest elevator (why don't they have their own far away from guest rooms?), and seem to have an override that prevents guests from using the elevator at all while they are moving their equipment up and down (during breakfast time). This was absolutely infuriating!!!! We waited 10 minutes for the elevator to go to breakfast, it would have been much faster to use the stairs but I'm slightly handicapped and my knee was hurting too much for multiple levels of stairs. If your staff are going to block the elevator for more than one up/down cycle, then make them use the stairs... or better yet get them a staff elevator like every other hotel!!! I nearly forgot the broken light fixture beside the bed that has clearly been glued back together rather than replaced correctly. We loved Salzburg, and the hotel was convenient but definitely not luxury, not even close to being luxury. In hindsight there is another Tribute Portfolio hotel in Salzburg that's on the S-Bahn line, but significantly less expensive, I'd have chosen that one. This place should be €50 less per night, it doesn't warrant the charge they ask.

This hotel is clean and looks nice, is 20 minutes walk from the town center in a quiet location except for the huge construction site next door that starts hammering at 7:30am. But the main reason I'm giving this so few stars is the management seems to be so poor or non existent. We checked in at 5pm to be told our room is not ready as the cleaners are new and don't have their act together. The poor girl telling us this was the only one working in the whole hotel and spent half an hour moving all the rooms around to give us someone else's, she was also making coffees, pouring beers, opening the garage up outside for other customers and then going back to trying to find rooms for the several other people who came in behind us. We put the 'do not disturb' sign on our door for our entire stay but on our last day a huge guy came barging in at 10am saying he was cleaning our room (check out wasn't until noon). I could have been indecent, in bed, in the shower. He was followed by a meek woman and a young manager who apologized for his barging in but seemed too afraid to tell him what he shouldn't do. I was so shaken up and now had 3 strangers in my room one weird guy scrubbing the crap out of the place like a Tasmanian devil so we left as we felt we were being kicked out. In the hall another manager was yelling down the stairs for other cleaners to be quiet. It was mayhem. Who hired this unprofessional crew that seemed to have so little experience as they had no sense or privacy or were able to read a 'do not disturb' card. It was the worst (and actually scary) experience I have ever had in many years of staying in hotels around the world and ruined our whole stay. I would not recommend this hotel until they get their act together and get some / any proper management.

The hotel is conveniently located near Salzburg Central Station, though it is a bit far from the Old Town where the main attractions are—about a 30-minute walk. The hotel itself is comfortable, quiet, and well-equipped. The room was exceptionally spacious, with more than enough room to fully open two large suitcases and still walk around comfortably. On the downside, the interior lighting felt quite dim. There was also an intermittent buzzing noise that sounded like electrical interference, which was somewhat annoying.

Nice boutique hotel in a quiet residential area. Spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Housekeeping was a little disappointing as they don't take away dirty glasses or refill the coffee and tea daily

Great hotel for a long weekend in Salzburg. We loved the location - it’s slightly out of the main old town, but an easy 20 min walk along the river (or lots of buses.) Quiet location was a plus for us! Also an easy 20min bus or taxi to the airport. Rooms were lovely, with big comfy beds, coffee machine/kettle and a rainfall shower. Aircon was needed as we were there during a heatwave, but worked fine. Staff were friendly. Check-in / check-out was easy. The only con was that we didn’t get breakfast because it was going to cost €25 per person, per morning - which we thought is a bit steep. It may be different if you get it included in your booking. But lots of cafes nearby so easy to grab coffees/pastries as we set out for the day.
