The W San Francisco exceeded every expectation. The location is absolutely incredible, right in the heart of the city and convenient to everything San Francisco has to offer. The recent renovation is stunning, with beautifully redesigned rooms and public spaces that feel modern, sophisticated, and inviting. The check-in process was seamless, setting the tone for a fantastic stay from the moment we arrived. And as a bonus, San Francisco is looking better than ever, making the experience even more enjoyable. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the people. The service was incredible throughout our stay. Every team member was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely committed to creating a memorable guest experience. A special shoutout to GM Jeff and his colleague Christina for their outstanding hospitality and leadership. Their personal touch and dedication to excellence are reflected in every aspect of the hotel and the exceptional service provided by the entire team. Between the unbeatable location, stunning renovation, smooth arrival experience, and world-class service, the W San Francisco delivers a true five-star stay. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

Our stay here was perfect, from check in to checking out. The staff was great!! They were all so friendly to us! We arrived really early to drop off our luggage, not thinking we'd be able to check in at 9am, but they had a room available! Not only did we get to check in early, they gave us a complimentary upgrade! Our room was phenomenal. The views of downtown were breathtaking! The room was a nice size, the bathroom was beautiful with a nice shower head lol, the bed was comfortable and the overall room was just super modern. They have a bar and restaurant at the hotel as well. We weren't really able to explore the hotel like we wanted to, but what we did see and experience was really nice! They'll give you complimentary water at the front desk if you ask which was great because we stayed thirsty and there wasn't a store nearby. They'll also hold your luggage for you which is also convenient if you arrive early or check out and your flight isn't until later. Our overall stay was a 10/10! This fancy hotel was amazing!

My wife and I had a brief stay at the W because we were staying in San Francisco overnight for an event. The staff was very friendly and the room was great. We had an awesome view from our window. Before the party we had dinner with friends at the restaurant downstairs and had a great meal. And after the party we came back and had a great time hanging out at the XYZ bar. Because of our short stay we did not have the opportunity to take advantage of all of the amenities. Overall the W delivered a fantastic experience for our weekend gateway.

Such a special stay at this conveniently located, well-equipped and - most importantly - well-staffed San Francisco hotel. The hotel has spacious rooms and an energizing gym that I enjoyed using during my stay. Awesome bar on the second floor that even had a DJ spinning on a Tuesday night at a volume that still made the area conducive for conversation over cocktails. The highlight of my stay though was the service from the W's team members. The individual attention offered by Jay, Julian, Wo, and Clay made this stay memorable. All of these folks were helpful, attentive and friendly. With this stop being the last in the midst of a two-week travel schedule, this "home away from home" feeling was needed as these members treated me as a very important guest. Kudos to them and the W.

Usually I stay at whatever hotel is available as I travel extensively for work, get up super early and check in very late. It's been a while since I've stayed at a hotel that makes the place a destination. I could not wait to get back to the W Hotel in SF. The staff was very professional and friendly. Everyone remembered my name. The bath products were great! Normally I refrain from using hotel supplies hair products but I made an exception and it was well worth it. Staying at the W Hotel reminded me of why I enjoy what I do, it's not the work but the traveling and the experiences. Although the hotel was undergoing construction, it was not disruptive to my awesome experience. Signage was clear and everyone was helpful. What I enjoyed the most was sipping my morning coffee with a view of the sunrise outside my hotel window, seeing the city come to life. I had not realized how serene the moment was until my work day became hectic shortly thereafter. The staff, the management, and everyone who works at the W Hotel clearly takes pride in what they do. I do not believe that my experience would as been as spectacular without the high attention to detail.

Highly recommend the W San Francisco. Janny and Josh set a fantastic tone with warm service and great local tips, and making my birthday special was a class touch. The 27th-floor views were stunning, the room was spotless, and the night DJ brought a great energy to the hotel. Add in an elite gym and brilliant leadership from GM Jeff, and you have one of the finest stays in the city. Will definitely be back!

We absolutely love this hotel! It is, without a doubt, our favorite hotel in all of San Francisco. The rooms are wonderful, but what truly makes this property exceptional is the incredible staff. From check-in, to our phone interactions with Espi, to the restaurant team, every experience is consistently outstanding. It's the little things that make all the difference. What impresses us most is that so many team members recognize us and remember our names, making every stay feel personal and welcoming. When my partner and I checked in, Jenny greeted us with a warm smile and welcomed us back by name. Whenever we call the front desk, Espi is always gracious, kind, and genuinely happy to help. In the restaurant, Qi always recognizes us and makes us feel right at home, and our servers, Alvin and Jane, even remember exactly how I like my coffee. Magnolia is always accommodating, responsive, and quick to help with any questions we have. This level of genuine hospitality is rare, and it's what keeps us coming back. Thank you to the entire team for making every stay feel so special. We can't wait for our next visit!

The lobby is under construction and the hotel services are lacking. The room was ok, but not the most comfortable room I’ve ever stayed in. The shower was my least favorite part of the whole stay. It took me awhile to figure out how to get the overhead shower to work and the light went out while I was showering twice this week. Great location, but just not a super comfortable stay.
