We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly appreciated the warm and attentive service throughout our visit. A special thank you to Sunny at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful, kind, and always ready to assist us with anything we needed. His professionalism made a big difference in our experience. We are also very grateful to him for helping arrange a small and special birthday cake for my husband—it was such a thoughtful gesture.We would also like to highlight Chef Ben, who is from Malaysia. His food was absolutely delicious and prepared with great care and attention to detail. It was a real highlight of our stay and added a special touch to our overall experience.A heartfelt thank you as well to the housekeeper, who prepared a beautiful birthday decoration in our room for my husband. It was such a lovely surprise and made the celebration even more memorable.The hotel is excellent for children, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable as a family. The breakfast is huge, with a wide variety of options—there’s truly something for everyone.The location is also great, making it very convenient to explore the area.Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable—we would definitely return!

We were celebrating my partner's birthday, staying at the Horizon Club Seafront Room. It was incredible. The location is in the heart of Haitang Bay, walkable to Atlantis and other resorts as well, though I don't really think there is a necessity to go outside of the resort since they have everything we needed, and we only stayed for a night. Our room was spacious and clean. The atmosphere was immaculate. The Duty Manager, Yu Ri Huan, and all the other staff were so kind and went above and beyond to make our stay and my partner's birthday amazing and memorable. The selection of food and drinks in the club lounge is really good, and everything feels so easy and seamless. The club lounge is not kid-free, so they could be kind of noisy, but it's not really a problem for us. Even though we do not have children, there are a lot of activities for kids. We even checked out the petting zoo, which is nice. Overall, amazing stay, definitely highly recommended, and we cannot wait to come back again. Thank you so much!

We really enjoy our stay. The hotel environment is very nice, covered with greenery and flowers and close to the beach. Kids facilities everywhere. There are three pools with one specially for kids. Staff are friendly and helpful. We want to say special thanks to our guest manager Sunny who is super helpful and thoughtful. She takes good care of us. We will definitely come back.

I’m currently staying at the Shangri-La Sanya. The facilities are quite good, but unfortunately the housekeeping standards are very poor. It almost feels as if the rooms and public areas are not properly cleaned until the next renovation. The hotel has great potential, but the lack of cleanliness is really disappointing.

The Shangri-La Sanya was an ideal destination for our young family. The hotel is set amongst beautifully kept lush gardens and well kept grassy areas for children (and adults) of all ages. We were lucky enough to stay on the 7th floor; the view overlooking the pool was beautiful. The room was perfectly sized for two adults and two children, and we appreciated that the kids could sleep on a double/queen pull-out sofa at no extra cost. The bathroom was well-appointed, and the included children’s amenities were a thoughtful touch.The resort kept our children constantly entertained with pool slides, afternoon foam parties, an inflatable bouncy cloud, dirt cars and nightly fire dances. Pro-tip: If you visit the indoor playroom, bring long sleeves and pants; we missed this detail because of the high outdoor temperatures!Dining and Service: Breakfast offered a wide variety of Chinese and Western cuisine. However, arriving early meant the food turnover was low, so many dishes were unfortunately cold. On a brighter note, the Malaysian chef’s English was excellent, and he was incredibly friendly and helpful. We also loved the dedicated children's section, which even offered plain options for babies starting on solids FYI. We also took advantage of the photography offer; as a family that doesn't usually take many photos, we are so grateful for the beautiful shots we now have. Areas for Improvement:Our only real negatives were the check-in process and the "petting farm." Despite emailing our arrival time in advance, I received no reply and we had to wait several hours for our room. Had we known an early check-in wasn't possible, we would have kept our swimwear accessible. Most importantly, the petting farm was disappointing. The animals, particularly the chickens in plastic balls, were not in an ideal environment. There is plenty of space to extend the farm and make it more humane; I’d encourage the resort to rethink this area to make it more appealing for everyone. English was a barrier that we expected but with the use of translation apps we got by. There was at least one person in each area of the hotel who could speak English which was refreshing. Overall it was a memorable last minute family trip that was easy from HK. Highly recommend!

Lovely place for children. The pool area is the real hit. The customer relation manager Sunny was particularly helpful, responding to every questions we had promptly and professionally. The hotel could be improved by being more transparent of hidden/extra cost of external providers in within their premise (i.e. the Adventure Zone). We were massively disappointed about having to pay for its entrance fee and many other smaller expenses (like, socks, arms sleeves, etc.)

We only stayed one night with a late evening check in.The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the provided robes were light and breathable. Breakfast had a wide selection of food buffet style. I would suggest arriving to breakfast a little early to avoid a line to get in.The hotel property is large and I felt that having a more detailed map would have been helpful. The staff would kindly tell me to go to building 2, but I wouldn’t know which building was building 2. We noticed that when turning the light switches for various parts of the room the lights would flicker some and it was a little confusing trying to figure out what lights controlled what.

We liked it very much at the Shangri la Sanya. The kids had a lot of fun every day. The food was also always very good. What I didn't like was that the children's activities were very overpriced and had to pay extra for a lot. What was also a bit difficult was the communication of the employees because very little English was spoken and only went with translator app. On the whole, it was really great there
