This absolutely massive resort, positioned directly on the beach of Haitang bay was one of the most gorgeous resorts my family and I have ever stayed at. It is HUGE - but all the gardens are perfectly manicured, the facilities are clean and well kept and the general vibe is fun yet relaxing. We had a double room - which was really big, plenty of room for 4 (although we wish we'd ordered the room with slightly bigger beds), it had a very generous balcony, massive bathroom and great amenities. The staff were all super helpful and kind - even though language was a barrier, it never stopped anyone helping us - everyone just got out their favourite translation app and away we went! A special call out to Rosie at the pool bar who went above and beyond to help us with our orders over 3 consecutive days because we couldn't use the QR code ordering system. Even before our stay, we were connected with a concierge (which we were initially suspicious about!) - we had Chloe who was an incredible help - there was nothing that was too much to ask and she made our stay an absolute breeze. There were heaps of pools - or maybe it was just one giant pool! - but loads of space (although deck chairs were a little scarce some days) and they did kids foam parties every afternoon, which were a hit! They also had canoes in the pool, which you could paddle along a certain stretch of water - and the first try was free! Breakfasts were great (would recommend getting in early) and the beach club was lovely - such a chill vibe on a really gorgeous stretch of beach. The beach was clean and generally calm, but with enough waves for some light boogie boarding with the kids. The kids club and playground might just be one of the best I've ever seen! They playground was enormous, with slides, swings, trampolines, more slides... it was fab! The kids club is paid if you want to drop off, which is a bit of a shame, but we did still spend some time there when one of us adults was happy to supervise over a book. Overall - an excellent stay which I would highly recommend. Oh - and it's also across the road from a huge duty free mall - if that's your thing!

Nice hotel, pleasant service. The rooms are well cleaned. Thank you to Chloe for her support and for her help, she always helped us. Everything went great. We were surprised that there were not deep pools of only 1.4 m and it was not possible to swim normally in the sea because it was very shallow. There is a very small bathing area from the hotel, it is fenced with buoys. The rooftop pool is paid for, be careful! There are photographers working on the territory, there are many beautiful places to take pictures. It's a long way from the usual grocery stores, but delivery is always available.It's a long way from the usual grocery stores, but delivery is always available. A magnificent hotel! I liked everything! The service is at the highest level, the room was cleaned two or three times a day. Everything is very clean! Excellent breakfasts and royal dinners :) a clean beach. The hotel is adapted for children, they always had something to do. Saps, boats, workshops for children every two hours, a Lego room, a rope park! The kids were thrilled! Very nice rooftop bar. Across the street is the largest duty free in Hainan. The manager, Chloe, made the biggest impression on us! She was very helpful during our vacation and made it as comfortable as possible! I’ve visited 50 countries, but I’ve never encountered such attentive service from a manager anywhere! When I caught a cold, she helped get me to the hospital and took great care of me throughout the whole time, bringing honey and lemon to our room… She helped us with any issues! Thank you to the hotel and Chloe from the bottom of our hearts! We’ll definitely be back!

Our stay at The Westin Sanya Haitang Bay Resort was a very enjoyable experience, and there is a great deal to appreciate about this impressive property. The resort is beautifully designed on a grand scale, with an impressive lobby, spacious grounds, and a relaxing resort atmosphere. We booked both a suite and a guest room, and we were very pleased with both. The rooms were exceptionally spacious, with large balconies and beautiful views, giving them the comfortable and luxurious feeling expected from a resort of this level. The location is also very convenient, particularly with the shopping mall nearby. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the quality of the service. As international guests, we initially experienced some difficulty with the language barrier. The management responded in an exceptionally thoughtful and professional way by assigning a dedicated butler to assist us throughout our stay. We communicated with him through WeChat, and this simple arrangement made an enormous difference. It effectively removed the language barrier, made communication effortless, and allowed us to request assistance or ask questions at any time without difficulty. This level of attention is exactly what distinguishes a luxury hotel experience. A very special and heartfelt thank you to the management, our butler, and the entire team. The staff were consistently professional, polite, respectful, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Their hospitality left one of the strongest impressions on us and played a major part in making our stay so enjoyable. The resort also offers an excellent range of activities and facilities, making it a particularly enjoyable destination for families. Breakfast was another highlight — excellent quality, generous variety, and a very enjoyable start to each morning. There are, however, a few areas where we believe the property could be elevated further to fully match the expectations of an international luxury resort. Some parts of the hotel are beginning to show their age, and a thoughtful renovation and refresh of certain areas would enhance the overall luxury experience. We also experienced a persistent unpleasant smell from the toilet bowls. Although we requested deep cleaning and the staff responded to our concern, unfortunately the smell remained. This is an issue that deserves attention, particularly at a resort of this standard. We would also strongly recommend expanding the international dining options throughout the resort, particularly on the restaurant and in-room dining menus. While breakfast was excellent, a broader selection of Western, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and other international cuisine would significantly enhance the experience for overseas guests. As Sanya welcomes more international tourism, we believe this would make the resort even more attractive to foreign travelers looking for a complete luxury resort experience. Despite these areas for improvement, we left with very positive memories of our stay. The generous room sizes, beautiful balconies and views, excellent breakfast, activities, convenient location, and especially the outstanding hospitality of the team made our visit memorable. Above all, our sincere thanks and appreciation go to the management and staff. Their professionalism, politeness, and genuine care represent the strongest qualities of this resort. The decision to assign us a butler and communicate through WeChat was particularly impressive and demonstrated a real commitment to guest satisfaction. With some renovation, attention to the bathroom issue, and a more extensive international dining selection, The Westin Sanya Haitang Bay Resort has all the ingredients to deliver an even more refined luxury experience for international travelers. We would be happy to return, particularly because of the wonderful people who made us feel so well looked after.

My first time to Sanya and was travelling with friends that had stayed before somewhere but heard good things about Westin, particularly with two children. We stayed for 5 nights and i was truly sad to leave, i could easily stay another. Each morning i woke to an incredible sunrise on level 7 over looking the ocean and went for a beach walk. The location is absolutely superb within an easy walk to the huge shopping centre next door. The breakfast was ample with asian and western food, then back to the pool. There never seemed to be an American style rush to thrown down towels to save a bed or cabana and i loved you didn’t have to pay a daily rate for that unlike Hawaii for example. There were plenty of amazing staff on hard and ready to assist but a special shout out to Ellen at the pool bar, she was so lovely and remembered our drinks preference etc and we had fun with google translate! The grounds were absolutely immaculate as was the house keeping. The roof top pool and bar run by Alan from Bangladesh was amazing as was he also. BUT if i only had one criticism it was be the very odd selection of cuisine on the rooftop bar being Hot Pot only. Mix up the menu and more people will enjoy the night time views and food.

First of all, I would like to give high praise （10/10）to my hotel butler, Chloe. During my stay, she took care of everything meticulously—she recommended nearby restaurants and thoughtfully prepared a cake and fruit for our anniversary. The housekeeping staff were also very attentive, frequently replenishing daily essentials and drinking water. Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, they are well maintained. The breakfast restaurant staff were very friendly as well—the entire hotel team is excellent and detail-oriented. One special mention: the hotel offers gluten-free bread at breakfast, which is very considerate. If you're visiting Sanya, I highly recommend this hotel. It is located right next to the Sanya Duty Free City and the newly opened "Haitang Story" district, where several restaurants are worth trying, and there's also a great new massage parlor. Staying in this area, you can easily fill three days with activities

The hotel boasts a lovely setting abundant with lush greenery. Separated from the duty-free shopping complex by just a road, it also provides complimentary shuttle bus services. Housekeeping butler King offers thoughtful, attentive service. Great outdoor recreational facilities are available onsite, and the swimming pool is ideal for photoshoots. The guest rooms are cozy and relaxing. I would absolutely choose Westin again for my next trip to Sanya!

Good facility and well managed. Really enjoyed their breakfast selections and quality. The only complain I have is about the room layout, once you opened the door, the first and only thing you can see is the bathtub. And the bathing area is not enclosed. I’ve never seen this kind of design in a hotel, just doesn’t make sense.
