I feel that for a 4 stars hotel, they did many things right and I feel the thoughtfulness they put into the layout of the room. For a start, the hotel is at a good location. It is 2 mins walk to Tanukikoji Shopping Street and about 5 mins walk to Pole Town and to the metro. Lawson is directly right next to it bringing lots of convenience. The room is rather spacious. There are power points on both sides of the bed for you to charge your phones. Not just that, they have usb-c ports on them too so you don't even need a power adapter. There is a bath tub available for your use. The only complaint is that the shampoo provided feels rather greesy and the hair feels oily after wash. And also, the aircon does not feel cold enough. Facial cleansers and such are provided at hotel reception. Toiletries are also provided at the lobby for you to self help. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Sapporo for shopping.

A great size room for our party of 5. Included a kitchen, washer/dryer, dining table and 5 single beds. The location was superb! A family mart connected to the lobby made grabbing food/snacks very convenient. The main shopping street, Tanukikoji, and other shops were within walking distance. We didn’t need to take public transportation unless you headed to farther out areas. I would highly recommend this place and stay here again in the future.

La'gent Stay Sapporo is perfect for its location. It is close to everything including multiple restaurants, train stations and Odori Park. It also has a wonderful onsen on site that is a plus although the water temperature could be much warmer. There is a convenience store (Family Mart) that you can access through the hotel lobby which is great for drinks and snacks. The breakfast buffet is a great spread (traditional Japanese food) but it becomes redundant after more than a few days because it doesn't change. The cleaning crew will not remove any recycle material (.le. water bottles), from your hotel room, and they don't tell you where to take them. However, there is a large container for recycled water bottles in the lobby across from the front desk. The breakfast buffet personnel will also request you to leave once you have eaten because they need to accommodate more hotel guests. Therefore, if you're interested in relaxing, visiting and having morning coffee with your breakfast, your time will be cut off once you are done eating.

I stayed at this hotel for a week and unfortunately found it quite disappointing compared to many other hotels I have experienced in Japan.The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location. It is conveniently situated and makes it easy to explore the city. However, beyond the location, there is very little that stands out positively.The front desk service was the most disappointing aspect of my stay. The staff were generally unsmiling, unhelpful, and lacked the hospitality that Japan is famous for. Having stayed at numerous hotels across Japan, this was the first time I encountered such a cold and indifferent attitude. Even a simple request for a bottle of water during check-out was immediately rejected without any attempt to assist.The onsen was also underwhelming. The men’s and women’s baths rotate daily, which felt rather unusual. More importantly, it is essentially just a large hot bath rather than a true onsen experience. Compared to the excellent bathing facilities available at many other Japanese hotels, this was nothing special.Breakfast was excellent on the first day, with a good variety and quality. However, for guests staying several days, the menu becomes repetitive and boring as there is very little variation throughout the week.Another strange policy concerns room cleaning and bottled water. Rooms are only cleaned on alternate days, which is understandable from an environmental perspective. However, bottled water is only replenished on cleaning days. On non-cleaning days, guests must go down to the reception desk to collect water themselves. This seems unnecessarily inconvenient and not something I have experienced at other hotels in Japan.Considering the price charged, I believe there are many better hotel options available in the area. I would not rely solely on the glowing online recommendations, as my actual experience was far below expectations. While the location is excellent, the lack of service, average facilities, and inconvenient policies make it difficult for me to recommend this hotel.

We stayed at La’gent Hotel for two nights and had such a great experience. The breakfast alone deserves five stars :) the variety was incredible: they had a mix of seafood, fresh bread, local specialties, and of course Hokkaido milk. I also loved that they switched up some of the dishes between our first and second morning, so it didn’t feel repetitive. Onsen was great—it was clean and open until 1 AM, which made it perfect to unwind after our travels. The room and beds were comfortable. Odori Park and a bunch of other shops were close by as well. Staff were super lovely and helped us with directions to our next destination. Overall, this stay was great, would definitely come back!

Let me start by saying I do not believe in giving 5 stars easy. A 3 star to me is meeting the bar and is perfectly acceptable of a stay with its caveats. The above being said, this hotel is a 5 star stay. Usually I split up my review into the three categories of room, service, and location, but with this one they all kind of come together. It’s a hotel that there’s no real fault in. To start off with, the hotel itself is connected to a Family Mart, like from the lobby, you can just go into a Family Mart right next door without even leaving the main lobby. Now let’s talk about the rooms. Perfect temperature control, great bathroom, and a smart TV. They also make sure to give you some welcoming waters. Each room also has its own private WiFi because why not when you’re striving for perfection. The onsen in the hotel is so nice and convenient, they show you on the tv how occupied it is and the hours, it was not the main focus of our stay but we found ourselves using the onsen anyway because it was just that convenient. The location is literally in the heart of Sapporo and is right by a subway line, so getting around is as easy as you’d think and expect. Honestly the ease of everything in this hotel is what hotels should strive for, rather than rest on the laurels of a great location, it seeks to be everything you need on vacation to make it easy. I felt right at home and it was such a great welcome to Sapporo. All other hotels during my visit to Japan I felt, I’d shop around for a different hotel next time around… for La’gent, I’m coming back here every time I’m in Sapporo.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay at this hotel. Great value for money, our group of 4 ordered a bigger room with 3 main beds and a bunk bed - able to fit 5 people in total. Our room 1111 has a pretty good view of the downtown city. I particularly enjoyed the onsen here. During my stay of 3 nights here, I went to a total of 4 times (3 nights 1 morning). It's really convenient that they have a screen chart which indicates how busy the onsen is. I enjoyed the items the hotel provides for free as well, such as the facial moisturiser and cleanser. There are two onsen in total, which cycles between male and female between night and morning. I highly recommend to visit both as they offer different interior designs and vibe. One with a big lantern and traditional, simple details. The other with a high ceiling and sculpture art surrounding the room.

Wonderful hotel. Friendly staff, clean facilities and great breakfast buffet. Located near susukino shopping area, and walkable to the Sapporo station (about 20 min or so). We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip back to Sapporo. Highly recommend!
