Usually, hotel guests leave their reviews after checking out, but I just couldn't wait until then—even though we are still during our stay—because I am so impressed by the extremely helpful staff here, particularly the front desk officer, Sumiyoshi-san. We needed to change our itinerary completely because of a JR accident in Hokkaido, which meant we had to liaise with several agencies and transport companies in Japanese. Sumiyoshi-san went above and beyond, interpreting and explaining what we needed to do step-by-step, even though he was extremely busy with other duties. I’ve stayed in much more high-end hotels, but he is the absolute star. He truly treats his guests the way he would like to be treated himself. This is what travel truly needs—not luxurious, grandiose decorations, but caring, welcoming, and friendly staff who are willing to sacrifice their time and go to great lengths to help guests when they are in a tight spot. 👍

Wonderful hotel that was just refurbished in Feb 2026. Staff are responsive, helpful and polite. Amenities are top notch and the place was always incredibly clean. Rooms are massive by Japanese standards; decor and furnishings are well considered and we really appreciated that some lights were dimmable and there were ample electrical outlets scattered around the room. Location is exceptional with big malls and several conbinis all within a 10-min walk from the hotel, which is very conveniently located just 5 minutes from Sapporo station. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros :|Less than 5 mins walk from JR Sapporo Station.|Plenty of foods and shops|Great location for transportation to airport, tours etc.|Newly renovated, staff can converse in simple English.|Sound proof room, great if you are a light sleeper. Cons :|Tight space for standard room with two persons. Can barely open two luggages and tiny bathroom especially the sink area. We booked superior twin room instead which does more justice for a party of two and more. WC is separated from the sink / bathroom, not able to wash your hands after using the toilet. Very small breakfast area for 12 levels of guests! had to queue to get a table. Rigid and cold hotel policy. Our flight is past 9 pm, check out time is 11 am, they will not even accommodate a half hour complementary late check out.|We also enquired for their shower facilities given our late departure flight. There is an onsen in the hotel so we thought will be great to take a quick shower there before our late flight. |Again NO. We were told the onsen is “only for guests, pay ONE NIGHT RATE to use onsen”. So despite being a Mitsui Garden member and staying with them for 5 nights, once you have checked out is not their business. |Seriously, don’t the hotel management ever asked for similar requests during their own holidays? How do they feel being treated this way?

​We chose this hotel for our three-generation family trip. The location is very convenient, with direct access to the underground walkway that leads straight into large shopping malls. ​We booked 3 rooms, and all of them were very small, making it quite difficult to open our suitcases. However, the cleanliness lived up to the high standards consistently maintained by the Mitsui Group. ​The public bath is extremely mini. During peak evening hours, it was extremely crowded and lacking enough lockers, to the point where many people simply left their belongings in bags on the floor. ​The shower area has very few stalls, so people were standing in line to shower completely naked. The hot spring-style bath was also packed with people. After soaking, everyone walked around dripping wet to find their towels, and my slippers ended up being taken by someone else due to the chaos. ​The bath area does have a lounge offering hot and cold coffee, as well as coin-operated laundry machines, though the laundry and drying services are more expensive than at other business hotels. Parking is also on the pricier side. ​The buffet breakfast is simple and does not feature any seafood—only sausages, bacon, and basic hot dishes. There are about 4 to 5 salad options, which health-conscious or vegetarian guests will likely appreciate.

Newly renovated hotel with a pleasant and refreshing scent throughout the lobby. I also liked that the shower and toilet areas are separated, which makes the bathroom more practical and comfortable.The breakfast was good, although the dining area is quite limited in size. During peak hours, you may need to queue before getting a table. If you’re on a tight schedule in the morning, it’s best to plan your time accordingly.The hotel is very nearby to Daimaru and Stellar Place shopping mall too.

Location of this hotel is great, just a few mins walk from Sapporo Station / Daimaru entrance. The newly renovated deluxe room is a good size if you have big luggage, it also comes with a separate bathtub and shower area. Overall staff at the hotel is helpful and can converse in basic English (some are quite proficient); they are professional and welcoming. Choose this hotel if you're traveling through JR Sapporo Station to other parts of Hokkaido.

It was around 5 minutes walk from the station to the hotel and was pretty easy to find. The hotel looked new as it was renovated. There were two department stores near the station where lots of eateries and cafes located. I liked the housing keeping service most because when I did not need house cleaning daily, they would provide the new towel, tea bags and water bottles by putting them outside my door.

Looks good after the renovation. The rooms are nice ,new and clean. Unfortunately they breakfast buffet is a real let down. The choices are very limited and an unimpressive. Bread section has four or five types. Butter and cream cheese provided and that's it. No jams or peanut butter. Worst no butter knives available when asked but staff was kind to provide a steak knife. The breakfast feels like an afterthought.
