Stayed at the hotel October 9-13. We left and came back to the hotel at many different times during the day and never waited more than a couple of minutes for the elevator. The many reviews about long waits are grossly over exaggerated. We were on the 26 floor and our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We overlooked the freeway but did not hear any traffic noise. Water pressure in the shower was a little light but did the job. We had access to the executive lounge. The breakfast was pretty good. We were given vouchers to get a free happy hour appetizer each day in the restaurant - there are only 4 appetizers on the happy hour menu and they are only worth $10-12 each so not much of a bonus. The timing didn’t work out for us so we didn’t use any of those vouchers. We had a rental car Saturday night through Monday and were able to park on the street close to the hotel for free those days (free during evenings and on Sunday). The area around the hotel was very safe. Great stay all in all.

A good location in downtown Seattle, walking distance to the market, all the shops, as well as two light rail stations. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable and had extraordinary Japanese Toto toilets. We experienced a stern (and a cold) “welcome” at check-in, but the rest of the team members turned out to be helpful and friendly throughout our stay . The management needs to really speed up the repair on all the elevators. The guests are relying on one passenger elevator plus a shared service elevator with operations and facilities which is not really conducive to the rush during check ins and check outs with carry ons and luggage. A tired looking hotel with a potential (that needs a major make over). My partner reminded me that the price we paid was consistent with the current state of the hotel, minus the greeting that felt like a traffic stop.

We were looking for a hotel within good proximity of tourist attractions in Seattle. We took the Link train from SEATac airport to the Symphony station and it is a 3 block walk UPHILL to the hotel. Several things that you should be aware of at this property that may or may not be of concern to you: 1) The front desk is located at a higher floor from the street level so you will need to take an elevator up then another to your room. 2) There is only ONE elevator in operation for 20+ floors of this hotel so waiting to go up or down can be very long. 3)I found a dirty brown stain on the toilet seat which was probably left by the last guest and not cleaned properly. 4) Water pressure to the 21st floor shower was very weak. 5) The hotel provides two USED slippers for guests to wear. I feel this is very unsanitary and actually quite surprised that anyone would want to wear these at all. Besides these points, the sleep quality was pretty good on our first night. Beds are comfy and you can choose to open the windows if you dont like the loud jet engine noise of the air conditioner at the window. If you need some assistance from the front desk, you will need to go to the desk yourself and stand in line with the few limited staff. They do not answer phone calls from the room.

Great value for the location. Comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms with bidets and nice showers (no tub). My room had a lovely peekaboo view of Elliott Bay. Windows open, which is a nice feature, since the AC is quite loud. The windows have blackout shades that work so well, I'm trying to find some for my own home now. The Executive Lounge access adds free bottled water and various soda options as well as a daily breakfast buffet with a good variety of food, but no evening reception, despite what the placard on the door says. There is one drawback to this hotel: the elevators. Two of the three are non-functional, and apparently have been for quite some time. This causes some severe delays and crowding at times when a lot of guests are coming and going. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay here and found the staff very helpful. The rooms don't come standard with microwaves, but one was delivered very quickly when I requested it. The coffeemaker is a strange proprietary type and the coffee it made was abysmal. The hotel was reasonably quiet: there is a lot of street noise with the windows open, but the windows do a good job of muffling it. Parking is quite expensive, but that's true of all downtown hotels.

Stayed here while attending a convention at the Arch. It's within walking distance of the convention center. The rooms are nice and pretty clean. I did find some candy around the edges of the room, but other than that, it was perfectly acceptable. Unfortunately, it felt like the front desk staff was mad at us for being there. After walking into the lobby and greeting them, I waited for quite a while before the woman at the front desk acknowledged me. I thought I was a ghost. I would definitely stay here again, though.

Pros: -Good location in Downtown (but upperhill on 6th) attractions within walking distance or public transit . -Room spacious enough for two and a bathroom with a japanese style bidet -Friendly counter staff and housekeeping . Cons: unfortunatly big issues 1-Bathroom : cramped bath/shower with toilet And most of all the worst water pressure we ever expérienced in a hotel : so very little pressure all the time or no water at all by times at peek hours either morning or night , in the shower , toilet ( can’t flush !) and the sink ! 2- Only 1 elevator out of 3 working , so the wait can be long . There is a service elevator that the guests can use but it goes down no further than the lobby that is on the 10th floor : for the ground floor you have to take the regular ( the only one ) elevator . 3-Near interstate so noisy at night The proprety would definitly benefit with solving maintenance issues to upgrade the guest appreciation .

We stayed here at Coast Seattle Downtown, and while it’s rated as a 4-star hotel, it didn’t quite feel like one. First, when we checked in around 8 PM, the front desk employee who assisted us wasn’t very welcoming. She never smiled, and I think a friendly attitude makes a big difference in making guests feel welcome. On the other hand, the other front desk staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly and helpful. Second, the bathroom sink drained very slowly. I noticed other guests mentioned the same issue in previous reviews, so it seems to be an ongoing problem. The housekeeping team deserves 5 stars. They cleaned our room every day and did an excellent job. Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel’s biggest advantage is its excellent location it’s within walking distance of Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, and the stadiums, making it a convenient base for exploring Seattle.

Pros: room was clean and quiet, you can tell it's been upgraded, at least cosmetically, fairly recently. The bidet is cool but it doesn't make up for some serious issues: Cons: Unfortunately, a couple of things made this a memorable hotel experience, in a bad way 1: Their elevators have been broken down/under maintenance for over a month. There is ONE working elevator for 22 floors of a hotel. It would take an extra 10-20 minutes to leave the hotel waiting for the elevator. Some guests we talked to had to wait over an hour at times. As someone who is 6 months pregnant, walking up 20+ flights of stairs in the summer was a nonstarter. We timed our checkout to be hours earlier than we anticipated (7am) to avoid this. Funny how this isn't mentioned anywhere on their website, you find out a checkin (too late to cancel and find a different hotel) and they don't give any kind of discount for the inconvenience. 2: The water pressure at this hotel is amongst the worst I've ever experienced. The water would just shut off mid-shower, and come back on at full scalding temperature, not the temp you had set it at. For the price we paid to stay here it was a very dissapointing experience. This stay makes you appreciate a motel 6 - you know what you're paying for, but at least you can access your room and have functioning water.
